We contracted with Costco to install AC and Brennan is the company that came did the initial consultation, measure and installation (not happening in the end). The energy consultant John was very friendly and easy to work with. He provided prompt response and did the measurements and reassured us everything was ready for the installation day, which would be a month later. Although he broke a piece of our trim when accessing the attic, he was kind enough to let me know that he would make sure to let his crew fix it for me. Everything was good until the installation day.

The crew came after a month of waiting. When I mentioned about fixing the trim, they almost laughed and told me they don’t fix anything for me.

Then they started delivering bad news. First, they told me the attic doesn’t have enough space for the equipment. I was like why you didn’t tell me about this when you did the measurements? Isn’t that when we’re supposed to know if the equipment would fit?

Then they told me the new AC unit is damaged and asked if I would accept it as is. They don’t have a replacement and would not agree to installing it first and replacing the damaged unit once they have one available either. They offered to replace the damaged panels only which we end up declined. We had to cancel the work since we are not able to accept such a risk given that this is an expensive project and none of this is our fault. Nope, we are not accepting a damaged unit.

We wasted our time and effort, waited for a month and had our trim damaged only to get nothing done in the end. John has been unresponsive since then. No apologies no nothing. I’m still waiting for them to refund the money that we paid in full in advance.

I was really happy with the service team overall. The gals on the phones were very nice and made the process smooth and professional. +1
I was most impressed with the technician they sent to my home. As a former US Navy Engineer, and commercial building engineer for the past 18 year's, I am a hard guy to impress.
Drew had the skills and experience I was hoping would show up at my door.
He was a solid guy with a good history behind him, and what I am sure is a bright future ahead of him. Top notch tech if I've ever seen one. Gold Star for Drew.
I would also say that upper management should review their pricing and be real careful about how far they boost the mark up on the parts. I felt a little abrasion between my legs when I checked pricing on what I paid for.

DECEITFUL SALES TACTICS!

I called Brennan Heating & Air and told them I had a 15 year old furnace that needed repair. They came out and the service tech told me they have a company policy to not repair systems that old. I clearly told the phone rep how old the system was. They then charged me $197 for new quotes. When I followed up, they said they don't charge for quotes!

Worst of all, once I wrote a review they reached out to me offering a refund which they never actually issued (it's 3+ weeks later now). Absolutely scummy tactics. Not recommended and deceitful.

Your service repairman was very professional. He was able to figure out what was the problem in a very short time. When he returned with the parts the next day, he was able to complete the job in a couple of hours which was much faster than what the job called for. You could not ask for a better service person. I am both disappointed and angry at needing to write this review. I had a high opinion of Brennan based on my previous experience with them a little over 10 years ago. At that time I found them to be extremely professional and thorough as they installed AC in my home. Unfortunately, that was not at all my experience in June when I contacted them about the AC beginning to fail to cool my house.
The technician that came to do the initial diagnosis could find nothing that seemed wrong and recommended that I replace my aging furnace. Since the furnace was beyond its expected lifespan and we depend on the AC, we decided to take the hit and spend the $4500 to get a new furnace. After a frustrating week of phone tag with the tech, we were told that we were on the schedule for early July. Yay! Just in time for a major heatwave.
The date approached closer and closer and we never heard from anyone at Brennan to confirm the date or take the deposit. I called, and called, and called. I left voicemails. NO ONE RETURNED MY CALLS. The date I had been given for an install came and went. We wilted in the unremitting heat from the NW "heat dome" where the temp hit triple digits. I literally made OVER 40 phone calls before I finally got an actual person on the phone (rather than the automated answering system) and before she could transfer me I pleaded with her to listen to my story and get me to someone, ANYONE, who I could actually talk to. She promised that someone would call me.
The next day someone finally called me and was apologetic that no one had responded earlier. He promised to talk to the correct people and get me onto the schedule. True to his word, he called again the next day and said we were now booked for early August. This would make it approximately 2 MONTHS from when we started the process!
The tech arrived to install the new furnace and while he was still 10 feet away from the old unit he commented that the AC was frozen up. He could tell by just listening to it!!! As it turned out, a normal AC maintenance call would have solved the problem for a few hundred dollars, rather than the much more expensive new furnace that I had purchased. To his credit, the tech was extremely professional and helpful and after servicing the AC and installing the furnace we FINALLY had a cool house.
As you can imagine, I tried once again to speak with someone at Brennan to voice my complaint about how unhappy I was with this experience. I tried multiple times. Apparently either this company has a completely malfunctioning phone system or they DON'T REALLY CARE as no one took the time to talk to me.
This was the WORST experience of home repair I have ever had in 40 plus years of home ownership. I would have rated this as a 1-star but couldn't because of the great work of the tech who came in early August.

Thanks Brennan. My technician Bill was an experienced professional. I had my home HVAC & Air Conditioning Unit serviced and it was done with finesse. I received a courtesy reminder call one day before the appointment
and a 30 minutes call before arrival of the technician from Brennan's excellent customer support. Bill arrived early during the appointment and got to work immediately. He finished the job quickly and even cleaned up after. I would recommend Brennan because they have great customer service and great employees.

I had a really great experience with Brennan. I was able to get someone out to my house in an acceptable amount of time - not so with the previous company I'd been using for the last 10 years. The technician, Damon, was super polite and cordial, described everything he was going to do before conducting the inspection, thoroughly explained any recommended repairs and the current condition of my equipment, and was super patient with my many questions. Pricing for service and repairs was competitive. I'll be calling Brennan from now on.

December 19, Furnace not working. This is not good as guests are arriving, but I forgot to call...I have a rather complex boiler furnace, and we have radiant heat. All three zones were out, but the gas fireplace and gas water heater, that are attached work off of different circuits (or, maybe magic—-I don’t really understand it all that well, other than the fact that I don’t have forced air blowing stuff around and my house is always as warm ( or cool, in winter) in the zones I want it to be).
When I FINALLY remember to call, a technician was out in less than 24 hours, even though I do have another source of heat in the house, which is my gas insert that alone keeps my house incredibly warm.
I received a courtesy call 40 minutes before Walter was arriving, and within 15 minutes of arrival, he had found and fixed the issue.
Walter was punctual, kind, considerate and more than helpful about how to prevent this in the future. Brennan installed this system +/- 15 years ago, and he assured me that it was in fantastic condition and should last another 15+ years at least.
My charge for the service call was exactly what I was originally quoted for a service fee only with no charge for the repair. In the middle of a holiday week, with people having heat problems all over the city due to the last week of torrential downpour, I could not be happier nor could I be more impressed with the continued stellar service we have received from Brennan all these years.
If possible, I would give this company 10 stars. They have been honest, kind, considerate, helpful and prompt from the day we chose them all those years ago. Every aspect of work with them has been perfectly executed from start to finish, and the total bonus is that every single one of their employees has had great listening skills, complete knowledge of their products and have been simply exceptional to work with. I can’t imagine a better company to work with. Brennan has my business for good!
