I had the “pleasure” of having Service Expert maintenance men, Chris and Ben come to my home to service my heating unit today. The appointment was made last week but this morning I awaken to a cold house, inside thermostat read “65 degrees.” Both men were extremely professional but friendly and explained everything they were performing. My heating unit was not sensing that all burners were functioning. I had recent sanding of my hardwood floors and dust had entered the heating unit despite changing the return filter twice.

I would recommend Service Experts for your HVAC needs. I’ve made an appointment to have my duct work vacuumed to remove the wood dust from my duct work.

Service Experts arrived on timeand were progessional. They very quickly fixed a ruptured water line a d replaced a spigot. Service was good enough that I signed up for their ongoing service agreement.

I called them in for a repair and was told I needed to replace the whole system. I did agree to the advantage plan. It's been 5 days, and this is the 2nd time I've had to call them because my heat was only blowing cold. Why is a brand new system doing this? The 24 hour service that goes with the plan is a joke. I'm sitting here with 2 babies under 2 in the COLD waiting on someone to call me back. I most definitely regret not getting a second opinion and locking myself into this plan.

This company probably needs to review some of their technicians and how they troubleshoot a HVAC system. Make sure to get a second opinion. I wish I could get my $195.00 back on service ticket 0138783. I had my system go down and needed to have a review of my HVAC system. These two reps came out and told me I needed to replace my heat pump. Stating how the refrigerant was low. They "spotted an oil puddle next to the compressor and it needed to be replaced." The rep started talking about how it will end up costing thousands of dollars because the heat pump needs to be replaced as the compressor probably won't be available. I called a local company to come out for a 2nd opinion. Nothing was wrong with the heat pump. It is in working order.

Israel did an excellent job replacing the failed inside 24-volt control transformer, and the outside Defrost Control board and the Thermostat after diagnosing the problem. Israel determined that the unprotected transformer had failed due to a short circuit in the 24 volt circuit in the outside unit. He was correct in suspecting that the short was in the thermostat circuit. He discovered that a hot, 24-volt, wire had been incorrectly factory assembled such that the wire insulation was in contact with a sharp sheet metal edge. Vibration during operation resulted in rubbing off the insulation to cause a short circuit.
