ARS/Rescue Rooter Heating, Cooling, & Water Heaters

Zero stars. Technician never checked filters on our mini-split unit. When our unit continued to have problems, we called another company to check out the unit. Tha0t company found the filters dirty. Problems solved!!! The ARS technician was incompetent. In addition, I have requested reimbursement, but the service manager will not return my calls.

We had a nightmare experience hiring Ideal Comfort out of Amelia through Home Depot. Using ARS out of Richmond was HDs solution to our installation problems. So far ARS has come out 5 times to resolve issues on our new install. Each and every time they have been professional, excellent communication skills, honest, knowledgeable, and just truly have done a stand out job. Edgar and all of the technicians have been beyond helpful and have worked hard to not only resolve issues, but correct items before they become problems. My Husband and I are just truly grateful ARS has been willing to travel to our area to help get us straight.

Our maintenance experience was wonderful and efficient except for the exorbitant expense . We are a elderly couple in our late late 70’s and are not supposed to be on ladders to do work or cleaning. However our Mitsubishi mini split / ductless hvac system needed a cleaning and maintenance. A service call is $109 so what could it cost? A $100 per unit or $100 per hour or a total of $500 ? 4 interior units and 1 exterior? All work was done in our kitchen with our brush and ladders we could lend. Well $2717 for a good cleaning. A good auto detail is a $100 to 500. My annual hvac service is $69-99 in Florida and includes cleaning.

Technician was knowledgeable and prepared. The install crew was on point. Not sure if parts or logistics are the problem, but took 2.5 weeks to complete repair on a new system installed 4/22. With the correct parts and knowledge, technician completed repair professionally and quickly.

Got good price for heat pump inspection through home depot who partners with ARS. Technician was prompt, professional, and answered my questions about my heat pump. He provided recommendations on how to improve system. He wasn't pushy with upsell. I was a little surprised that he had to write down my cc number for office staff to process inspection fee later. Might be worthwhile to look into a square or tablet so field staff can document inspections and take payments. Overall I would recommend ARS.

We spent $18,000 getting a new (actually two) “Carrier” heating and air conditioners installed the beginning of August. We noticed that only one side of our house was staying cool, as it was supposed to. It seemed happen off and on. A repairman came, and after having looked at the system, thought that the one system needed freeon. He poured more in and left. It only took about a week or so when it wasn’t working again. I really thought we had a lemon, and would need a whole new unit. The same repairman came and (hopefully) fixed it for good. He worked on it for over two hours. Turns out the guys who originally installed it didn’t do a very good job, making sure everything was connected correctly. The repairman who came to our house and fixed it, “Edgar,” is extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating. He really wants the customers to be satisfied. He is a very nice young man.

ARS came out and quoted me a price to install a new heating and a/c system. They were very professional from start to finish. The returned to help with a thermostat issue. They suggested that we instal an air scrubber. We were glad that we did. I will recommend them to anyone that ask if we know of a reputable company to meet their heating and a/c needs.

I had ARS to install my aircondition and heating. Eric the manager has no for years since installed we have had problems withthe unit not cooling the house. I have been left wiith over a thousand dollar electric bill due to the unit running all day and half the night trying to coolthe house. The temp hets higher and higher with the unit still running. At the end of the day its 90 or more degrees in my home with my 81 year old mother and pets here. I have breathing problems and so do my family members I have called and called for them to replace it one time jus to fix it and we have got no results other than a high electric bill. This is not good business especially when the manager of the company dont stick to there word. We paid over 5,000. for this unit and still paying due to the unit notciilung running dayand night keeping the electric bill sky high. This is a company that do not care.

Came out same day to diagnose, a Cold Saturday (!), and made right diagnosis. Part came in on Wed and was installed on Thurs. furnace has been working well for a week now, so we are happy. Costs were reasonable, and no pressure to buy a new system. I recommend them.

Office was quick to schedule and serviceman arrived early. He listened, was respectful of my wish to not enter my home unless necessary. He wore a mask to show me photos to explain his work. I was grateful for maintenance tips to prevent future service calls. Thanks to ARA for always providing great service all around!
