    Contracted with Smith & Keene to install a whole house back-up generator, a whole house surge suppressor, and to update the electrical service and meter to 200 amp.

    The sales representative I will say was acceptable. I'm a general contractor, and I could tell he really did not have much experience. I caught several errors in the contract and he had to be reminded to add things to the contract that I asked for.

    The preparation to complete the job before the install date went well. The install crew had everything that was needed. Rick is an excellent electrician and it showed from the very beginning. He went to great lengths to do the job right and did not take shortcuts that most people would not notice. All his wiring was very neat and well organized, which shows he takes pride in his work.

    The gas installer and the two other assistants were excellent as well. Each day the crew cleaned up the site and left the site looking great when the entire job was done.

    I would definitely recommend Smith & Keene.

    Lennox Wi-Fi tstat bad b4 6 year mark. Have annual contract with them. Called in emergency for no heat in middle of the night with no call back until normal operating hours. Tech came out late PM said he didn’t have that tstat and I’d have to order - he literally was going to leave me w/o heat, until I said he wasn’t leaving until I had heat! Rewire to a manual t/stat. He did. I have heat. But he gave me a very old model of Honeywell that cost $80 new but charged $200 then didn’t even give me programmable capabilities! I will be buying a new Lennox S30 but Smith&Keene will absolutely not be getting the business!!

    New construction home and they installed our toilets incorrectly. We have two button (eco-friendly) toilets and they swapped the lines for two of the toilets in our home. Additionally, in our master bathroom, we have a sewage smell that comes at least once a week... they come out and see/smell nothing wrong. They don't see any leaks on their side, so there must not be an actual issue. Toilet seats were installed crooked... I mean, about 20% of the seat was actually hanging off. It's not even that there are issues, its that they come out and cant find anything wrong because they dont care to actually look. It's super frustrating.

    ***Editing to add update*** the toilet issues have since been fixed, after calling and saying how there was still a smell, and requesting them to check the seals… one of the seals was not installed correctly… because it didn’t exist. But, alas… it is fixed.
