Screw this place. I don’t know how you run a successful business when you won’t sell stuff to people. Went there twice in the past 5 years and it was an exercise in frustration. Needed a capacitor, they reluctantly sold me one, ran card, they brought it out and set on counter. At this point I realized it wasn’t the one I actually needed. I was told “no returns on electrical components”. It was still sitting on the counter, I hadn’t even touched it yet. So now I’m stuck with a capacitor I don’t need. Went in today for a motor and was basically told to pound sand. Fine, I’ll give Amazon my money and NOT support this local business.

You are correct with not selling refrigerant to the general public per EPA regulations. But there are NO regulations regarding selling generic parts to the public. This is an internally made policy. I was told directly by the owner of one of the largest HVAC companies in town that he personally went to all of the HVAC suppliers and told them if they sell directly to the public, he would not do business with them, because he doesn’t want people to be able to fix their own equipment, forcing them to hire him. It’s all a racket. HVAC is the only trade like this.

I've had the worst experience with this company. I purchased a goodman ac unit 6 years ago through my hvac guys, and it exploded. I assumed that since it was only about halfway through the 10 year warranty thati wouldn't have any trouble getting it replaced, since most reputable companies stand behind their products. Boy was I wrong. After contacting goodman (which will be my next review) I was told I had to go through the wholesaler or technician to redeem the warranty and it was only for parts. So with the parts only warranty I contacted superior and explained that it wasn't a single part that broke, it was every part in the unit, and could I get a whole unit replacement. They were pretty rude about it. I'm not trying to get over on anyone, I just didn't understand why they wanted the tech to build a whole ac unit in my back yard. And why they weren't more concerned about my exploding ac. Ultimately I got an almost $1000 bill for the repair of a unit that was supposedly under warranty. If this is superior standing by their products, then I don't know what to say. Come to find out they refused to cover the copper pipes and refrigerant so that got tacked onto my bill. Im really disappointed in how I was treated as well as the poor quality of the equipment and the warranty which is basically a scam.after my experience even my technician who has worked with superior for years is switching suppliers.if you are going to purchase from them be sure to be aware of all the loopholes in the warranty and know that they don't really stand by their products in any real way.

SES is hands down my favorite supply house to go in to. I never feel ignored and the counter staff is always helpful. Ive had to make changes to tickets on-the-fly, add to, and subtract from orders last minute and the staff is patient and with me the whole way. They understand that my time is valuable and always work to get me loaded up and checked out as quick as possible as well as answer questions when i have them. Cant say enough about the staff up front and in the warehouse.
When Im in the field and I call in the staff in the back is always on point and quick with the info I need. Part number, price quote, system specs, part availabilty, cross reference, product info, no matter what the issue Im having someone always seems to have an answer or will take the time to find it and call me back directly to help me out.
SES is always offering classes and trainings for new and existing product lines, technical trainings and how to boost sales workshops. Well organized and useful in a super fast growing industry.
From top to bottom you can tell the women and men at SES care about what they do when they come to work!
