    Had to replace my Carrier gas package unit with a Lennox from Smith and Keene. Quick response time on the estimate, competitively priced. Jonathan Mulder and Brian performed the service. Showed up early on a Saturday and were complete by noon. Pointed out some unexpected issues with the duct work and had helpful insight and suggestions on corrective action. Very satisfied with the timeliness and quality of the work. Highly recommended!

    Technicians installed new instant hot water system, which included the new instant hot water system and an upgrade to natural gas service including a new trunk from meter to unit. Staff was knowledgeable and professional to the point they identified a plumbing issue which was not part of the instation and with out their efforts to identify, I would not have known about a plumbing leak at my washer until it had gotten much worse. I would use them again for any heating or electrical repair or installation.

    Jonathan Mulder and his associate Landon provided excellent and professional service to my mother's home on May 30. They arrived 15 mins early before the start time of her actual appointment time to set up . They even maintained a superior level of professionalism when they embarked on a difficult task during the installation of my mother's Lennox unit. After the job was done they clean up the all of the area that they worked in as well as stayed for additional time to ensure that the unit was working in tip top shape. Kudos and thank you Smith and Keene you have gained a customer for life.

    May 17th 2018 I had an appointment to have my unit which is not working to be repaired. At noon when I called I was told that my technician would be at my home after the call he was presently on therefore I was next in line. As I am writing this review it is now 5:30 I have called 5 times told the same story each time and yet I am still waiting for a technician who has never arrived! Therefore Smith & Keene either hold no honor for customer service! Or their service technician is dead on the highway someplace and they don't care about their employees! Either way I am left with no working unit and stood up being told the same story over and over and over again!
    Literally just received a phone call from Smith and Keene being told the same exact story I have been told 5 times today! They are stating that I will have a technician here at some point within this day but have no idea when that will be. I've lost a day of work! I have had to remain in a sweltering house waiting for a technician to never show! I will revise this review if they actually show up and do the work that needs to be done! But to pay as much money as I'm getting ready to pay for this technician if he actually shows up; & for the disrespect and lack of customer service and communication is CRIMINAL!!!!!

    Well.... at 7 pm a technician finally arrived. Was kind, courteous and efficient! However $1,200 later while I have AC now I will have to replace my unit. That's fine I'm good with that however, I still do not feel that Smith and Keene appreciates their customers nor do they know how to communicate to their customers. Any issues they may be having with scheduling appointments for service! Therefore, I will try not to ever call them again! I'm sorry if one of your technicians decided to quit today that is your problem not mine! But the lack of communication, is all on Smith and Keene! Find better dispatchers and receptionist who are willing to actually do their job! Oh wait! I'll do their job! hire me! And I will do a thousand percent better job than what you've already got employed! Because you're answering service, dispatchers, and receptionist are laxidasical, irresponsible, and rude! No other way to say it but the first impression starts with the first phone call and those women SUCK!

    Not recommended this smith & keene repair & service to anyone. Be aware! You will be hooked after you called them. Be prepared big money to give them for nothing and zero resolution once they come to your house! This company (and its workers) just try to make $$$, they're not honest of service for any thing that related to your house HVAC. My system was installed by this contractor several years ago. The new installation was fine as several years ago. But the repair/service from smith & keene is very bad. I called them and a lady in office hooked me up with a tech on the field. He came to my house and checked why my Carrier Infinity AC not working properly, because there is no cooling air coming out inside the house. After he open the outside AC panel and touched pipes around the unit, he told me that there is hard to find the problem and right now the AC unit working fine!? Approx about ten minutes checked he put the panel back and he was not even come inside to check other AC's related components, he asked me for $89 of service call (?) without any result/resolution! After paid him with CC there was no paper or receipt for me. He told me he'll mail hard copy to my address then he left. I checked account in my CC and the charge was already posted. I waited over a week but there is no receipt by mail, nothing and I had to contacted the office. Currently, I still don't have invoice receipt that smith & keene charged me for a tech person was unable to find error on my AC. Avoid this company. Try to find the other vendor with good knowledge and honestly working that help customers to resolve HVAC problem. Not just come then go. This is bad habit of service. This contractor come to customer's house just for one purpose: collect free money from customers; once they stepped on your property they will charge right after every 10 to 15 minutes without give customer advice, even thing(s) they are unable to identify the symptom on HVAC.
    (Addition information: One week later, I had other different and trusted HVAC contractor company from other area came to my house and checked the entire system, he used his multimeter and other digital gauges to read/check electrical components, gas coils, checked inhouse thermostat, inside coils/tubes, air filter, drainage pipes, etc... and he found that the capacitor inside the outdoor my AC unit needed to be replaced. He explained to me that there are six major problems that the AC unit won't cooling air inside the house. He did replaced the capacitor in the next few days (this part needed order) and charged me one time with fair price (as he came to my house twice)). My AC unit is running and producing the cooling air very good now, but this result because of without smith & keene involved!

    A company that will nickel and dime you with diagnostic fees and additional labor fees. Had them install a new unit 2 years ago (2018) and the install went relatively well except for the dirt throughout my house. I understand needing to pay your employees but $120 for 20 min worth of work is ridiculous.

    I have called every day since Thursday, July 9th, 2020, for Emergency HVAC Service (their website states 24/7 Emergency Service Available) for an HVAC system that is under warranty by Smith & Keene and they told me the first available service call is Monday, July 13th. They said that they make houses with no AC their priority. Found out further that they will only respond to houses with no AC in Emergency status, regardless if their technicians are busy or not. I am also of the belief that if I was a paying customer (one they could actually get the emergency service labor rate) and not dealing with a system under warranty, that I would have had someone out to the house already. This is completely unsatisfactory. Their staff has been completely unprofessional and this is not representative of a company that has been around for 73 years. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

    *** UPDATE (7/14/20) *** System has yet to be fixed. Technician came out on Monday (7/13/20) and agreed that the system had two leaks in it (one at the valve at the unit and one on the coil block on the air handler). They then had to order the parts as they neither keep any parts on hand nor were willing to remove the parts from any of the other systems that they had on hand. I spoke to them today and they initially said that the earliest that they could get out to my house would be Friday. Are you Shi**ing me? After a not so pleasant conversation, they said they could get out to the house on Wednesday morning, 07/15/20. I asked them why they couldn't have there emergency technicians come out tonight and they said that they could not do that. This has been the worst experience of my life as far as dealing with customer service. If there were a grade less than an "F", they would receive it. I CANNOT REITERATE THIS MORE, DO NOT USE SMITH & KEENE FOR ANYTHING. YOU WILL ONLY BE DISAPPOINTED IN THE END.

    Our air cleaner stopped working, Frankie their service man was great and honest, he had it up and running in no time. He found that I had bent a switch tab when I cleaned it. He didn't overcharge or make anything up. He went on to explain exactly how to clean the unit step by step. VERY pleased with the service and will highly recommend them.

    Excellent quality work, professional installers. I had them add a zone to my hvac system to allow separate temp control to my 2nd floor. The job was completed quicker than estimated and the system works like a charm. So now I have 2 zones on a single hvac system.
