Have used these guys since I moved in a few years ago and discovered my 15 year old furnace needed replacing. They did a great job on that and I now have them out twice a year for routine checkups. Danny Turner has always been the representative and he's very knowledgeable and friendly. Goes above and beyond to point out potential issues without trying to hard sell. Very happy with these guys.

Friday night after work, we noticed water draining a lot more than normal outside the house and subsequently discovered it was from the drain pan. We called Classic told the on-call tech the problem and that we are also on their annual service contract. Dak Jone came out the next morning at 8 am and quickly identified the issue, a clogged drain pipe somewhere in the line. He flushed it out and also checked both units for any other issues. Dak Jones also went the extra mile and wrote on the units to identify the matching outdoor unit to the ones in the attic. It’s the little things they do that make us feel good that we chose Classic as our heating and air service company.

Daniel Turner did a great job diagnosing the issue when my AC went out. He ordered the parts and was able to fix the system within 12 hours to get it back up and running. Highly recommend Classic Heating & Air.

Classic heating and cooling . Great company and knowledgeable staff. Daniel Turner came to our home. He was fair, knowledgeable, friendly and honest. I recommend Classic heating and air. Moreover l recommend Dan. Dan is the man. Believe me folks you don't want to call the other guys. I had one come and tell me I need a fan, when I didn't. Dan simply cooled the fan down and it started working. He could have taken advantage of us and sold us $800 fan, but he didn't. For that reason I will always be a fan of Dan and Classic heating and cooling!!!

I called Classic Heating & Air as my AC wasn’t cooling.Tech came and said I had a 'Major leak' and need to replace the system. "Customer declined action to replace equipment or rebalance system" which would cost $6056. As a company policy they usually don't replace refrigerant when it is less than 50% as there may be a "Major Leak". To add R22 would cost 800+ dollars as the price went up 237% 4 days ago due to COVID. Could NOT find any clear signs of leaks just pipes rusted a bit in some places.(hmmm). Another company came and filled the R22 and it costed me $247 and the AC works fine now. Should have read reviews first. Lets see if the R22 leaks again.

***Update after owner response on 11/21/16: The order is under invoice number S34623 but it's not under the above name. My concern is with your price gouging as well as the scare tactics that were used and even put in writing such as "recommend replacement at this time for $6,541." That was 2 and 1/2 years ago, and only time has proven to me that I made the right decision of ignoring his "diagnosis." Keep in mind other A/C companies have looked at the furnace and stated that there was no issue with either oil leakage from the blower or its output and that there was no need for replacing the unit. I simply want others to be aware of my experience so it does not happen to them. Note that I even called your company immediately after Seth left because I wanted to know what kind of capacitor was used just in case it happened to be a really expensive and high quality model because most of them on the market go for around $25 and most other A/C companies charge a fraction of your cost to replace it. After the representative sidestepped the issue several times, he eventually stated that it was a basic model and that your standard rate for a capacitor replacement was $395, even though no one would tell me the price for a cap replacement when we called to set up an appointment. There is really nothing else we need to discuss at this time. But one more thing, and not to sound like a Scrooge, I would simply prefer a better price on services provided rather than you mailing me Christmas music CD's every year at this time.

*** Original Post: I have been waiting 2 and ½ years to write this review, mostly to give them the benefit of the doubt and see if and when their prediction would come true. It has not. My experience with Classic Heating and Air began when my capacitor in my a/c unit went out. The tech, Seth, diagnosed the problem by simply unplugging the old one and swapping it out for a new one, but didn’t tell me the price before doing it. He screwed the panel back on the unit, and gave me the bill for almost $400. I told him that I had received other quotes over the phone for the capacitor because I expected it may be the culprit, and all of the other companies were charging much less. He replied, “Well they aren’t here, are they.” He also had me sign an agreement that showed that I even recognized that other service providers may perform work at a lower price, but that I would have to pay a 5% restocking fee! I went ahead and took the hit. If that was the end of it, I would still not be happy but I wouldn’t be writing about this company years later. The biggest problem is that he also lied to try and up-sell me a new unit – an overpriced one at that. He said I needed a new furnace and coil immediately because the blower was leaking oil and was not maintaining necessary RPM and that it would cause the capacitor to go out again. Since that time, I’ve received 6 other quotes from reputable companies and all of them said that this claim was false and that the blower was fine. They also gave me quotes for new and comparable furnace units, but also quoted me for the outdoor condenser. So the cost to change out the entire system is cheaper for 5 of the 6 companies than it was for just a new furnace for Classic Heat and Air. A#1 Air is likely in the same pricing ballpark, however, they are much more reputable and larger than Classic Heat and Air. Before calling Classic Heat and Air, remember that they themselves will suggest that you seek other bids, but only at the time of payment and if you decline their services, they penalize you with a restocking fee and still charge you for the call and diagnosis. Save yourself the trouble and call companies such as Burnside, Rescue Air, or Big Bear A/C and Heating. One company that is less than half the price of Classic is IME Services (Integrated Mechanical and Electrical Services). Efficient Home Solutions is another possible option. See my attached invoice and quote from Classic Heat and Air from 2014 to back up my comments. It is listed under the "photos" section.

I can’t praise them enough. I got immediate and professional service. From the first call, answered by a real person, not voicemail, to follow up and technician calls, they were first class all the way. My fan motor was replaced in a few hours, at a reasonable price. Dak was thorough, knowledgeable and professional. I will definitely use them in the future.

My old heating and air conditioner finally gave it up. I called Classic Heating & Air for a quote. I was pleased with the price and financing choices. Classic Heating & Air had my old system out and the new one installed in 4 hours. I have saved 30 to 40% on my electric bill. I should have replaced this old equipment years ago. I highly recommend Classic Heating & Air. They are truly "Classic".
