This company is awful! The HVAC tech showed up in torn jeans and crocs and was incredibly unprofessional. When I let him in the door I took him to our A/c unit and that was the last I saw of him, he left my back gate open and called my husband to tell him it would be 6 weeks for a part. He then proceeded to lie about being at our house for two different days. We decided to follow-up a week later and this 100 dollar part is now 400 dollars and 1000 dollars to install. The supervisor at the company explained she has no control of his professionalism, and that she couldn't even read his paperwork on the service so she doesn't even know what went on at our home or part the tech ordered. Don't waste your time, especially if the tech is named Dennis. I will be placing a review on the BBB as well, that's how bad the experience was.

DON'T LET HOMESHIELD SEND THESE GUYS OUT!!!!!!!

Some young kid showed up, poked around for a few minutes and left. They also left my A/C turned off without telling my wife and kids, I was at work and it put them in a dangerous situation. They then wrote their findings in such a way that blamed the AC issues on me so Homeshield would surely deny the claim.

I'm quite sure they just collect the diagnostic fees from Homeshield and don't do any of the work. I called another AC company out and they handled it quickly, professionally and cheaply. Never Use These Guys!!!

We used American Home Sheild to request a repair for our broken AC. It took 24 hours to finally get a repairman. He arrives and was there 15 minutes stated our thermostat need to be reset and left. The AC was not fixed he was contacted and told us oh it must be your fan. He then told us to put in another request with American Home Sheild. So we would have to wait another 24 hours without air. Unacceptable.

Two weeks ago a loud screeching sound started coming from my A/C filter area (I didnt have a problem with cooling). I called AHS and they sent A-US Air out. The guy went to the attic and said he immediately saw that something had fallen off the fan. He hammered on something for about a minute a left. The sound was gone, but the fan stopped working properly-you could barely feel air coming out the vent. The next day the system just stopped cooling entirely. They came out a second time and basically said they didn't see anything wrong with the system--meanwhile it's 90 degrees in the house. They created a problem I didn't have (or if they didn't, they still didnt diagnose or fix the problem I had). I asked AHS to send another contractor--they wouldn't. Ive been in a 90-degree house for days dealing with their incompetence. Now I've got to pay for another company to come out and fix what they jacked up. This company is trash and so is AHS.

Had a really great experience with the team serving the Austin area. We initially needed an AC repair, which unveiled some other things we couldn't put off any longer with our old unit. The service technician was so helpful, explained everything we needed to do and help us get set up with a new unit install - and we were quoted a very fair price in my opinion. The techs who installed our unit were great. We had another issue with the condensation pooling with the new unit and they stayed to help us figure out how to at least maintain some AC until we could get another part installed. The next day they reached out to us and said within a day we would have that new part installed. Despite some of these reviews, I feel we had a great experience with these guys. I will def be calling them again when the need arises.

    Please listen,
If you can stay clear of A-US Air and American Home Shield. Now is a great time, to continue exploring, and hopefully find someone that actually cares about your matter, and not trying to sell you another system. Installed Goodman ($1700) unit in 2018 (A-US), Evaporator Coil leaked discovered in 2020 (Patched up) by AHS. Continues to leak in 2022. AHS sends me an invoice for $1300 due at time of service to A-US. Explain the situation to Kenny (supervisor A-US), after being called cheap (his exact words) for having a warranty company and not replacing the entire system because it takes r22. I’m now told the $1300 that was initially for the evaporator coil (once I explained it’s still under warranty) is now the price for R22 refrigeration. I explained, I understand I’m responsible for the Freon, but that’s high. Then told you’re welcome to find someone else to fix. Hopefully this helps someone find a reliable company; and someone who stands by values. It’s currently 108 in Texas (20 days straight and counting), and do you really think they care about doing the right thing.

I was assigned this company by my warranty company American home Shield. I had a power surge which happens all the time here in Texas. My AC was not working it need a new motherboard and transistor. My AC was working well before the power surge,

AC technician Steven assigned by A-US arrived took photos of my unit and sent them to my American home shield and they denied my claim saying they don't cover "acts of God" 🤣.

I request an another company to fix the electric problems to the unit out of my own money to fix the problem. AC got my AC running, But when the new company examined the unit it was missing all of the feon. It didnt have any at all.. "0" as if someone empty out the unit. Prior to my new AC guy I hired.

I requested the same company A-US to come out and find the leak and refill. The A US ac technician Steven called me and stated "why you called... Your claim was denied by the company. I told him I got my AC fix its blowing but its out of feon for some reason." I wonder why" I need someone to find the leak, fix it and put feon in the system. He stated " if I go I will call the company and tell them it's was hit by lightning and they will denied the claim." I told the system is working just need feon. He said it's missing feon because of the lighting strike 😂👌!

    So I canceled the claim!

I called American home shield and I asked them to remove them from the vendor list in this area. If anyone reading my post had the same experience contact your warranty company and remove this business from vendor list in your area. You have the right not to have this company work on your AC unit.

Technician who came out for a routine inspection wrote 2 completely different reports and lied on what they sent over. When we tried to call the office to understand why they were 2 different reports, we were instead yelled at before we could even speak and now they won't answer or return a call. Avoid them at all costs.

This company is a scam and should be investigated for fraud. Their "technicians" are incompetent, lazy, rude and non responsive when you try to call them to follow up on a reschedule that they themseleves make. Unfortunately like many other bad reviews, American Home Shield had these people come out. Our "technician" came to our home in shorts, a tshirt that had no identifying qualities of the company he worked for and flip flops... He had no tools in his hands and was not prepared to perform the task at hand. He walked upstairs to our unit, banged around a little bit and said our pvc pipe needed replacing and that he did not carry that much pipe with him. It was 3 feet of piping. What kind of "repair" company doesn't have the necessites required for their job? A scam company. He said he would come back the following day but he did not come back and did not answer any of our phone calls. We called A-US and they also said he was not returning their calls and in order for us to get another technician out we would have to make another claim with AHS. Two days later we spoke to AHS and they said that it would cost us over 800 dollars to repair the pvc pipe and "copper". They said that it was not covered under our warranty and that it was a "pre exisiting condition". That was also a lie because it was not pre exisiting. It started leaking and we called. He also told AHS that there was a copper line that needed to be re routed. That is also a lie. If this was true, why would he say he would come back the next day after he gets his pvc pipe? He never mentioned anything about copper pipes. He is just plain stupid and lazy and doesn't want to do his job. Typical millennial. These people don't want to do their job and are looking for a way to make a quick buck off of innocent people. They have zero integrity. Do not waste your time or money with A-US. Call someone else and read the reviews before hiring. Also, if you have American Home Shield, consider canceling. Just look up their reviews on BBB, they are very similar to the reviews for A-US.

AHS repair. Israel came early, fixed the problem quickly, and was very courteous and professional. Israel was also very conscientious about wearing shoe covers and respecting the cleanliness of my home - very much appreciated!! Very happy with today’s service.
