Thermostat went out. Called the company that installed the system. Verified the issue was the thermostat and of course, was pass the warranty period. Have a home warranty company, American Homeshield. Called AHS and yes, it's covered, but the company that installed the system is not a company the warranty company uses. Assigned us to A US Air Conditioning. Told dispatch what the issue was, what thermostat was installed and they would need to bring one with them. Of course they show up without a thermostat and spent more than an hour looking for the problem after I had to leave work to come home and talk to the employee in person and explain that we know what the issue is. His initial response when walking to the living room, where the thermostat is clearly on the wall, asked her where the thermostat was. She said right there on the wall in front of you. He says he has never seen on like that. Really??

It took 4 days to get a replacement. He showed up yesterday to tell us that the replacement wouldn't come in today. He had called me to say he was on his way to the appointment. Really? He could have told me that over the phone. So he returned today with the new thermostat. He'll, he doesn't know how to install it!!!! He has been on the phone with someone off and on having to be told what to do. The new thermostat is a newer model. He is trying to install the new base that will be attached to the wall to hold the thermostat on top of the base that was installed to hold the old thermostat. The new base has a new setup of pin location and other parts. Clearly he has NO CLUE what he is doing and certainly can't be certified to install anything. When he blows up my whole system, the professional company that did the original install will install a new STATE OF THE ART SYSTEM at A US's expense! If at all possible, refuse to let them do any work at your house.

They came out to fix my leaking furnace several times and finally fixed that problem but made another. Who puts piping in front of the water heater and says all you have to is cut it to get to the water heater?

AHS assigned this company to service my place. First visit lasted less than 4 minutes. I was told coolant leak. AHS report was different from what I was told. They stopped responding to my calls now. Unreliable and untrustworthy. I will reconsider if I ever get a callback

They came and fixed my ac after waiting 4 days. It only worked for 4 hours and when I called the same day to get them back out. They were already closed for the day they do not have 24/7 emergency repair like website says. So now I’m waiting another 3 days for them to come fix my ac again!

Mike Collins came to my house as a technician for an AHS claim. He claimed that corrosion on my unit was from dog urine (I don’t have a dog, and have a fenced yard) and denied my claim in 2020, I had a 2nd opinion that proved him wrong. He then returned again in 2022 for another AHS claim (against my requests) and turned in the same dog urine diagnosis even though this time it was my inside unit that went out. He was extremely rude, and called me a liar when I told him that AHS had approved the repair for the 2nd opinion in 2020.

Jose came out to do my AC unit. Used them through American home shield. 75 dollar deal. Everyone was responsive and dispatched next day. Communication with Jose was good. Only issue is he took out my air filters. That could of messed up my hvac system. Not a big deal but didn’t make sense why he would leave it like that. Overall better than other of the reviews.

No BS. No time wasted. In and out. The guy knew his job and did his job without me asking. No small talk. Great customer service.

Any company is only as good as its employees. People here with bad experiences unfortunately got a bad employee. It is critical for companies these days to make good hiring decisions and let go of employees who have bad attitude.

    Highly recommend Justin.

We called our home warranty company American Home Shield 2 weeks ago for maintenance, because our fan on our main unit outside stopped turning. So they sent a guy to our residence. It was 3 days ago we had to call again, because our air stopped working again! Our fan was still turning but, no cool air was coming out.
So I once again called to schedule someone and they sent the same guy that always comes out. And I must say, I’m so disappointed! Every time this “repair man” comes, they have to come back!
Today, he let my children (14-17) get a ladder for him, get a drill, and then, walked threw with his own ladder! He didn’t clean the area he was in (my attic)which the opening is in my kids bathroom! left my opening wide open, complained about my air filter I just replaced, took it out , and didn’t replace it! so now I have NO FILTER! And I have to go buy a one! And it’s apparently my fault that he didn’t fix the problem the first time! I’m more than Unsatisfied! And wouldn’t have given any stars if possible. And if possible will go through anyone else if there is another problem!

If you have ANY other options of companies to deal with, go with somebody else. I have dealt with this group a number of times with American Home Shield, and every time is a circus. The technicians are all young and inexperienced. One unit they came out to diagnose a unit that was freezing up, but didn't take the time to clear out the condensate lines before they left and it flooded the ceiling of the room below the next day. When they replaced finally replaced the unit a couple weeks later, they did not install it within the utility closet in the proper place (plenty of room to work with) and left condensate/drain pipes rubbing against the door, which caused the door not to close properly. When asked why the door won't close and it just stuck open, they told my wife 'Oh it was like that before'. It wasn't. When I got home, fortunately i was able to move the strike plate on the closet door so it would shut fully even with the shoddy install. Easier than scheduling to have someone else come back and move the drains to the proper location. But why should I have to mess with that? I just paid them to do the install.

They have been out a couple more times for one of our other units, and it's never a straightforward diagnosis. It's always something that AHS immediately declines. You would think that they would want the work to replace the non-working items, but when you pick the most asinine and unlikely reason as the one to report to AHS, good luck with that. Now I"m fighting an uphill battle with AHS as well.

This company is too big and too busy to care about each of its customers. I called to explain the issues, and it was a useless endeavor. They couldn't care less. I would strongly recommend not using this company if you can avoid it.

Was assigned this company for AC repair by American Home Shield. Appointment made for Tuesday. Received text saying technician was on the way. I was already home at the time. Waited 50 minutes so called to see if there had been a delay. The Philippines-based agent told me that a woman called in and said they couldn't make the appointment. There is no woman in my house. After 45 minutes with the agent and supervisor finally transferred to Garland based staff. He was rude, never apologized for the error on their part and made no effort to make the situation right. If it had been my fault I might have understood but this was obviously on them. He offered a future appointment but how do I trust that when I take off from work again that this won't happen again. Stay far far away
