DO NOT USE THIS COMPAY! If I could give zero stars, I would. They are HORRIBLE! They left us without AC for going on three weeks and it’s still not repaired. At times our home has been over 87 degrees. They do not care, they do not communicate and are completely unprofessional.
Technical service is fine and dependable but their customer service is really bad. I have been trying to get the documentation for a part that was installed in my HVAC and still didn't get it after multiple calls.
American Home Shield sent a tech to diagnose my heating system because my downstairs floor was not heating. Within 5 minutes of my appointment the tech determined that my motorized damper was not functioning. AHS does not cover this so the out of pocket price to install a new one was quoted from $500 to $800 depending on the work. I hesitated to pay so a week later I had a guy come out that was recommend to me by a co-worker. In less than 5 minutes he had my bottom unit heating and he said there was nothing wrong with my motorized damper. These guys was going to try and get me to pay over $500 for nothing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
We were put into contact with this company through American Home Shield and they are so rude. They won't give you a specific time to come out. They just said their techs would be calling at 6 pm to tell me what time they would be showing up the following day. I told dispatch I needed to know a timeframe so I could schedule time off from my job to be at the house and she said it didn't work that way. So I waited for 6 pm and the call never came. The tech didn't TEXT until 7:45 pm letting me know the time he would be at our house. While I was waiting for the call, I checked out the reviews and saw how bad this company really is. Seeing as how the communication was already going in a negative direction, I canceled immediately with American Home Shield. Hoping this company is able to fix its business ethics of how they do business and treat customers.
The representative came to my house on call to check the a problem with my heather, from American Home Shield Insurance. The representative basically focused on finding all possible causes for the insurance company to reject the claim. I asked A-US Air for a copy of the report or to contact the representative that did the checking but they said it was not an employee but contracted, and did not send me the copy of the report. Basically, an allied of the insurance company for avoiding coverage ...
I would STRONGLY DISCOURAGE anyone from choosing to use their services. In march I paid for an AC system check up through American Home Shield. I was told A US Air was the only service provider in my area. When my AC went out 2 weeks ago the tech told me my coils were dirty covered with dog hair (I don't have a dog). I asked him why they weren't cleaned during my spring check up and he said maybe the tech forgot (maybe he forgot he was the tech that did the check up). He cleaned the coils and left. 12 hours later the AC stopped working again. It was running 24/7 because it was unable to cool the house under 80 degrees. The unit was getting so hot it shut itself down and you could feel the heat coming off it from 10ft away. I pulled the main fuse because we were afraid it might catch fire. The second time he came out he put the fuse back in and it started working because it had rested for 2 days. He said there was a small leak and topped off the freon and then left. It worked for 6hrs and started overheating again. His third visit was supposed to be today . In my text message from A US Air they said he would call or text 30min-1hr before my appointment. I never received a call or a text. When I called to confirm my appointment they told me I had missed it. Keep in mind my wife was home all day waiting for him and no one ever showed up. I talked to a dispatch supervisor at A US Air and she refused to send him back to my house stating I had missed my appointment, even though I never received a call or text message and my wife was home all day and no one came to the door. 95% of A US Air's business comes from warranty company referrals. Which means they don't care about customer service because they have a steady flow of calls. Through this whole experience I'm starting to believe that the warranty companies are in bed with the service providers. They have no intention on fixing your issues. They slap band-aids on it until you get so frustrated you just pay out of pocket and fix it yourself. If you don't have to use A US Air then stay as far away as possible!
ahs assigned them to fix the no heating issue. they gave a quote to add another unit and redesign the duct for 28k instead of fixing the existing system. avoid westing time and money with this company
These guys are unprofessional frauds! They were sent to my house though AHS! Not I my they did not diagnose the issue correctly, they took over a week to “submit” their “findings” to AHS! What a joke!
Called our home warranty company and they sent a Tech from A US AIR to came out here in Amarillo Tx and replaced a motor up in the Attic for the unit and also blew out the return lines in the drain pan. Tech did not hook lines up properly after he replaced the motor and blew out the lines . This was on August 10,2020 and 7 days later we notice water dripping from our ceiling in our back living room. That night at about 11:30 pm part of the ceiling caved in with sheet rock and insulation in the middle of the floor due to lines not being hooked back up properly.Called A us air the next day and spoke to a customer service rep and they said a supervisor would contact me before 5pm that day. This did not happen and i had to call back again and ask to speak to a rep. That following day the tech that made the repairs came back out to take pics of damage and send to company supervisor. Supervisor calls back and stats this his not his responsibility and the tech did not do this!!! Supervisor stated the tech did not have any notes on him blowing out the return lines in the drain pan. This company could have cared less if any of these damages even happened and it wasn't even their responsibility to even try and help with this situation and mess they had made. Very poor quality customer service . Now I'm out several thousands dollars in repairs that this company WOULD NOT STAND BEHIND !!!
