First time Charles Heating customer and was beyond satisfied with the service and the professionalism we received. Easy decision to make them our exclusive business for any future heating and cooling needs. Matt performed cleaning of the air ducts and vents. He also took a few minutes of his time to show our 2 year old son some of the equipment that he was fascinated with. We bought him a toy shop vacuum and he now uses it daily over the vents saying “like Matt does”. The quote “we’re the nice guys” is an understatement!

Techs, Jeremy and Brian, of Charles Heating were super professional. They were on time and did a new furnace and a/c install in 4 hours. The went over the whole system with me after they finished and cleaned up. Very happy with the purchase and install. Highly recommend.

They really are the "nice guys." I've used them for replacing my water heater and a full redo of my forced air system with a new A/C and furnace. After the install of my furnace, things never seemed to work correctly. We had guys come out three times to look at it. It took the third guy to go over everything on the system and he found out that it wasn't entirely installed correctly. He was up front with me and didn't hide anything. He was able to get everything fixed and running properly. I called to discuss this and the front office staff put me through to Mike Charles. I explained the situation to him and asked only for a furnace tune up in return (since I was out a few hundred dollars for the service calls). To my complete surprise, he provided 2 years of their club membership on the house! Everyone there has been professional and easy to talk to. I know that mistakes can happen to anyone, but for a company to own up to it and make it right - that's something you don't see very often. For as long as I live in the area, I plan on using them for everything HVAC.

I experienced a problem with my Carrier furnace on Thursday morning, and called for help. Within 2 hours Mike M. was at my door, took about 20 minutes to diagnose the problem, and got Zack on the phone to clearly run through my options. On Friday afternoon a crew of 6 was here on time, and in less than 3 hours had neatly removed my 32 year old furnace and replaced it with a new high efficiency furnace, filter cabinet, and thermostat. Jeremy, John, Matt, Todd, Rick and Karl did a great job, were friendly, knowledgeable, and neat. All the old equipment and packing were thoroughly removed. This was my 3rd experience with Charles for significant projects and they have never disappointed.

More proof that Charles Heating-Air Conditioning-Plumping-Electrical lives up to its moniker – “We’re the Nice Guys”! In the spirit of full disclosure, we have used Charles as the go to company for our heating, air conditioning, and, as of last year, our plumbing needs. We have been members of their “HVAC Club” for many years and they have provided routine inspections of our furnace and whole-house air conditioner on an annual basis.

We planned to add air conditioning mini-splits in two upstairs rooms that had electric heat. Since our family has a member who has a severe immunocompromised system we have been reluctant to allow workman to come into our home. We contacted Charles to see if they could do the work as long as the installers wore facemasks when they were inside the house. They had no problem with this request so we got the job scheduled.

On the day of the installation, the two installers arrived at the appointed time. Rick and Karl were very pleasant to have at our home that day. They had no problem about wearing facemasks while in our house and, in fact put on the masks when one of us went outside to see how the project was going. They did a fantastic job and were very thorough, professional, and technically proficient in HVAC and electrical systems since the mini-split heat pumps needed to be wired into our breaker box. As hard as they were working, Rick and Karl saw that they might not get finished with the job in one day so they called in the cavalry to provide help. Matt was the first to arrive. After a while, John and Jason came to add helping hands for our job. All these installers had been working on other projects that day and when they finished with those other families, they came to our rescue. I am sure the neighbors were wondering what kind of emergency was going on at our house with four Charles Heating trucks lined up in our driveway and on the street, but it was a great team effort and Charles got us back in our rooms that day!

So, once again, Charles Heating-Air Conditioning-Plumbing-Electrical gave us another quality experience. They continue to be a leader in all these areas and are willing to go out of their way to treat people in Central New York with dignity, respect, and care in order to meet our needs. You can never go wrong when you choose Charles!

A smooth and hassle free experience I had with them. I had an estimate done on a new furnace and a/c unit. The next day I accepted the offer and set up an installation date and time. The mechanics showed up as scheduled and did an amazing, professional job. I’m very satisfied and would recommend them.

Coop came and cleaned our home HVAC system. He was polite, professional, efficient, and thorough. Would absolutely use him again!

Hot water heater replacement. Mine was old, had flooded basement. Plumber Paul Delledera did a stellar job. Looking forward to return visit to replace outside spigot and pipes. Then I get to meet HVAC crew, later in the month, complete replacement. One call, all services I need.

Jim, Jeremy and Todd installed my furnace and ac quickly for a great price. The next day my sink broke and Gerald B came by and fixed that same day. Would highly recommend Charles and will continue to use them in the future

I recently had a new dryer vent installed by Brian Cooper. I am very pleased with the service. Brian arrived promptly and went straight to work. He was very pleasant and took the time to answer all my questions.
Brian was professional, respectful and competent. I will definitely call Charles Gearing and Plumbing in the future.
