We recently had our A/C Unit of 30 years blow out on us during the hottest days of May. I gave Midstate a call and Jack came out within a couple days. I obviously did some shopping around, but prices didn't come close to Mid-State. Ronda and Jack both helped us through the process. I gave them the go-ahead on Monday, and had the unit installed on Friday. So far, everything's been going well, it's too early to know if there any issues, but I would definitely recommend Mid-State heating and cooling to anyone looking for a great deal on an A/C unit. I will update this review if I have any news.

Brian, after our conversation this morning, I searched the internet and cannot find my post regarding our experience at Mid State. So either, it disappeared or someone took it down. Based on your email to me threatening to sue me for slander, you saw my review. I left a message with Rhonda, who happens to be very lovely lady. I hope that your company stands by their product and their word. Calling me back isn't going to change the outcome. As a Manager, I would hope that you, at least make an attempt at coming back to my home, to discuss the final details of this mess and rectify this very unprofessional situation.

I called Midstate to analyze my house for energy saving options. They recommended the NJ program where we get $5,000 rebate and $10,000 loan..An appointment was setup and the technician showed up on time.
Its been one month since the gentleman analyzed the house. Since then, i have been pushing them for an estimate which never comes through. . I sent a message to their office and one Ms.Ronda Ramada came back apologizing and confirmed that the estimate will be sent immediately. Its been another week after i received that email from her but no estimate yet. Absolutely disappointed. Will never use them...Pradeep, Manalapan - NJ

Last summer we did an entire demolition/renovation job on our home. We hired midstate to install brand new heat and air system. All I've experienced is issue after issue with them. I've held off writing a poor review for over a year but it's reached a point that I couldn't hold back anymore.
During installation this is what we experienced: they installed torn and ripped duct along the attic floor. I would have to continually remind them about different areas of the house that required Vents in the ceiling, they didn't run any floor vents in the kitchen, when they finally did they cut it on an angel so the vent covers would sit crooked. Know that you will need to babysit them every step of the way. one day I came to the house to find that they had a two foot high return vent intsralled in our coat closet. They left large amount of debris left behind in my basement, and always failed to meet commitments Dates There was a vent in the basement that would make a bang sound each time the unit would turn on. The irony of the whole thing is the midstate Forman who was to oversee the installation would always comment on how poorly my other contractors were performing but failed to realize how poorly he was performing. To be clear most all of the above issues were resolved after phone calls, and a number of emails.
After installation.
Midstate comes by to "test run" the units and ensure all is working properly. First morning after running our brand new "tested" AC unit I woke up to find water leaking through our brand new freshly painted bedroom ceiling all over our brand new carpeted bedroom. I go to the attic directly where the unit was installed and find the attic floor has water all over it. I called my friend who did all my plumbing work to check it out while he's on the way over I went to check if the water had traveled into the first floor and basement to find a puddle of water on the basement floor.... When the plumber came over the notices that midstate had incorrectly installed some sort of over flow drain that was supposed to drain the condensation.
When I notified midstate about the problem response I got was we fired the tech who "tested" your unit and sometimes there are issues we only find after installation. I guess he's right being that their most of their techs are novices. They also failed final inspections by the township for a bunch of different reasons. Most of them I got someone else to fix cause I was just so fed up with the amount of unprofessionalism from midstate.
We continue to have issues with The second floor unit especially in our master bedroom. It is always colder in the winter and hooter in the summer then the rest of the floor. Leaving our children's bedroom freezing at night during summer and sweltering in the winter. Midstate has been out here several times to resolve that issue all to no avail. Recently I emailed them saying that the downstairs wasn't cooling. The tech came over while I was out gave us a pink paper that says he checked the unit and everything's fine. All the while the outdoor unit fan hasn't been functioning for two weeks. So we got air blowing out the vents but it isn't cool air....
There's so much more to our experience with midstate, I tried to keep it short. Know they are the absolute worst company to deal with.

Jamie was friendly and explained how the mice ate through the wires. There were some other problems with the air conditioner as well. He was able to fix it in a timely manor and he went over the final bill step by step. He represents Mid-State wonderfully.

the entire team team did a great job. Jack, the sales rep, provided a great price for the mini-split and stayed on top of coordinating the install. The installation team was awesome - Ryan, Bobby and Chris. Kudos to all!

When we bought a new unit through them, they didn't install it properly and neglected to send in the proper forms to Rheem....so the extended warranty was voided. It was a horror show. Every summer, our unit would ice over & we had to call them. It would take a week for them to figure out what was wrong & fix it...only for the same thing to happen again next summer.

It’s hard when you’re not knowledgeable about HVAC. You hire someone thinking they are trustworthy and they tell you one thing only to have it be wrong. I called midstate for a second opinion and they were very professional and thorough. They showed me how the first company was in accurate and explained everything which is helpful. Next time midstate will be my first call!

We unfortunately got our ac / heating installed by them 4 years. We have had tons of issues with the installation and even to this day, our control panel went ( which I get is a part issue) but when I called mid state to give me info on pricing and warranty the women was rude on the phone and pushed me to work with another vendor. I don't understand why they couldn't give me or direct me to any pricing information. Anyway, stay away from this company ....

Came to my friends house for free estimate. After estimate said they could not help and handed her a bill. Demanded payment and said they would not cash check. Guess the free estimate should have been the red flag. Cashed her check and now she is out that money and still have the problem. Shady business practice.
