ServiceOne did excellent work. John, one of their sales engineers, worked with me closely over three visits to understand my business needs and budget. I picked an option that met my needs from multiple proposals. The group of guys that did the work were very polite. They showed up on time. They we're careful with the equipment. The install looks very sharp/professional—zip tied wires, made a plate for the thermostat, unit heater hangs nice and square... looks very "neat", which I appreciate and for which I am willing to pay extra. They ran into some blockers and required extra parts, but they persisted and got the job done the same day. I called MUD and had the gas turned on the day after the install. I called ServiceOne and the installers were back out to check that everything worked as expected within an hour. Also, they showed me how to use the thermostat and talked about how the system was setup.
Overall this level of attention to detail, timeliness, and quality work is uncommon. That's why I keep voting for ServiceOne with my dollars!
Last week when the temperature hit 80 we went to turn on the AC on our heat pump. To find the in house temperature just kept raising in the house. Called Service One, the repairman was here well over an hour doing testing to get it running. He even called somebody for additional ideas. At this time both were on overtime. They did every test they could think of to get the heat pump running. They finally said that the condenser needed to be replaced. The repairman answered all of my questions about replacing the condenser vs installing a new heat pump. I decided to replace the heat pump since the heat pump was mfg 2008.
The following Wednesday the heat pump was scheduled to be installed. The installers arrived on time went to work taking out the old heat pump to install the new heat pump. They worked diligently to install the new heat pump with no questions asked after I showed them where the thermostat, furnace and heat pump could be found. We are very happy with Service One.
Team came on time, they are professional. I requested somethings to be done. They did it perfectly and installed my new HVAC (AC & Furnace). It is almost 8 days now and it running very well.
The service tech, Jesse, is always friendly. His work is a 5 star rating. He makes sure any mess is cleared when leaving. The reason for the three star rating is - I am still waiting for a call from Jesse’s supervisor regarding the last service from more than 2 weeks ago.
Our A/C unit wasn't cooling on Tuesday. I called and had to wait 20 minutes on hold to schedule an appointment for Wednesday. Mike shows up around 5:00 and added freon & the unit started cooling again. I come home from work on Thursday and to temp is 81 degrees. I called Service One and was told they don't schedule anyone after 5:00 & if they did come out during business hours, they would just put a dye pack in and wait 2 weeks to see where the potential leak was. She also said it would not be covered. I said I'll call Standard Heating & Air. They were at my house at 7:30 replaced the dual run capacitor and was done with the unit cooling our house before I paid at 8:00. He said the Tech from Service One should have noticed the part and replaced it Wednesday when he was there. I've cancelled my contract with Service One and will use Standard from now on!
My 71 year old father had his a/c diagnosed last week since it isn’t working. They quoted him $7k to fix. He agreed to the overpriced repairs and it’s now been 5 days, over 90 degrees, and no repairs have been made! He’s a senior citizen with health issues and there is no sense of urgency in these hot summer temperatures to help the elderly!
Called Monday as my AC Out in my rental in Plattsmouth NE. I live in Orlando...so having someone out to inspect and have it done by Wednesday was impressive!
I would highly NOT recommend Service1 for a Home Warranty Solution. I would save your money to use towards a repair/replacement. We had a lower freezer drawer not seal correctly. A tech came out and said the rails would need to be replaced. He left and the issue was worse and our freezer was not usable. After 2 weeks (with NO freezer), I tried contacting them as to what next steps were. They said the part was on order and there was no ETA. After I made a quick call to the manufacturer I was able to find out the part was no longer available. Service1 still claimed they were waiting on the part. Another week goes by and no update. I had to call in AGAIN to find out next steps. In short - they would not repair or replace the freezer/fridge unit. READ anything you sign in detail. Their website makes it sound like they will replace appliances if they break but there are all kinds of loopholes they will use to get out of a replacement. They claim that a fridge/freezer are separate units and they only provided me $200. I received two different invoices to renew our annual service with two different amounts. In no way was I going to renew service and had to purchase a new fridge/freezer to resolve the issue on my own. Highly disappointed with the service, follow-up and integrity of this company.
I want to give a shout out and thank Service One technicians for coming out to take care of a water leak in the basement main water line and washer appliance.
Brian the plumber knew exactly what the issue was and fixed it right away after getting supply.
Austin the appliance technician did an amazing job fixing and replacing the hot/cold water value in my washing machine. He went above and beyond. He also replaced the rubber gasket in my front load washing machine that has black molding. I tried to clean it out but couldn’t get rid of it. I am very pleased by the work and result that was provided.
Thank you to Service One management for sending these two highly skilled technicians.
Called them as they keep billing me even though I cancelled the service a long time ago. I am unhappy with our new company and was thinking of going back to ServiceOne but after my interaction with their rude service person - I will find a different company and will never refer people to ServiceOne again. I realize COVID has changed service - but still expect decent polite service. They claimed they couldn't get R-22 anymore and the lady on the phone claimed it would be illegal for them to get it. MANY contractors locally and if you Google it all say it is still available for now - so it isn't illegal to get it just expensive. ServiceOne just didn't want to pay for the higher cost you have to pay to get it. I previously had them and we used them. They were ok. Benefit was the local company. Plumber from them we had charged us to move our garbage disposal as he said it was on wrong side. We paid a lot of money to have them do that and several plumbers have told us it was unnecessary. We did get a water heater from - not part of our warranty but we paid for it as we needed a new one. They gave us a credit and the person who did it was good. We have enjoyed out hot water.
I wouldn't say this is a horrible company - but there is a lot lacking in the customer service friendliness area. For a service company - pretty important how you interact with past and potential future customers .. or also people who could refer people to you or away from you.
