Long post but necessary. The Tech was on time and very professional. That’s the end of the great experience. Scheduled service and was given a day almost a month away from call day. The A/C had a leak and the Tech added in 2# but didn’t search for the leak. Since I have R22 Freon, the tech pushed for replacement of my two units. $10k for a fix that could give me 10-15 more years. The sales rep was no different, offered $1000 discount per unit as I have a warranty. That’s peanuts given we can fix the issue. Got three different opinions, all the same; “find the leak, seal it and your good to go for several more years.” The leak was inside the furnace and I need to replace the coil. Way cheaper that two units but ServiceOne warranty doesn’t cover leak detection unless is a lot. My system carries maybe 6# of Freon. I consider 2# significant, almost 50% of Freon. Called front desk and she said I have to be leaking 20-30# before they find and seal leaks. My A/C would be fried before that. Not happy at all and Very disappointed by all this. ServiceOne, do better and no more up-sale gimmicks. I felt like I was at a dealership buying a car. Below is a picture of my system after opening it for leak check. I had to have the other service company re-clean 2wks after ServiceOne maintenance.

Tech attempted to scam us! We were considering a service plan and Service One sent a tech who checked our furnace for maybe five minutes. Told us our heat exchanger was cracked and gave us a quote of nearly $1400. We asked to see this crack before paying and he pulled out his cell phone and showed us a picture of a cracked heat exchanger. We asked if we could see it on our furnace vs his cell phone. He told us no and that he'd have to charge us for opening it up again. We sent him on his way and had Jackson come for a second opinion. Showed us the inside of our furnace and exchanger and there was nothing cracked. They spent over an hour just trying to find something wrong. Nice try service one! Buyer beware.

I have used Service One for years, have an Extended Warranty. All of their work is thorough and they fix exactly what is needed. I would highly recommend them for your service needs.

Their sales staff is always easy to work with.

The only issue I have had is they are not up on some of the IT Technologies found in the Internet of Things, to help install products that increase the Smart Home tech. Had several products that the technology was beyond the folks selling and installing it, or completely missed in the conversation.

The service tech Alan was very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. He went a little above and beyond and took care of everything I needed and helped educate me on things I didn't know. I would definitely recommend using the service and would give two thumbs up to Alan and his work

Diagnosed water heater issues and options of which would be the best way to go in my situation. And in the long run which would save me money. Complete break down and cost of labor, parts and installation on a new unit or repair of my present unit. No pressure just professional advice. Having a little knowledge of home repairs myself, I knew the service man was being completely truthful and forthright with his knowledge. He left no stone unturned. So in conclusion i am happy to say I plan to stay with Service One for my home repairs.

The blower motor in my furnace went out last week. I called and got an appointment two days later. The technician was great, diagnosed the problem in about 15 minutes. Then told me it could be a couple days to get the 1 HP blower motor since they didn’t have one in the truck. They have universal motors all the way up to 3/4 HP in the truck and told me that there are not many houses with 1 HP motors in them. So it is not like they ran out of them, the company does not stock them. I was without A/C for over a week in 90 and 100 degree days. I have children, my step mother lives with me, and not to mention the animals. I had to go buy window air conditioning units for 4 bedrooms. I pay a monthly fee and a service fee for them to come out. What should have been a $80.25 call ended up costing me close to $1000 in air conditioning units on top of the service call fee.
The technicians are fantastic, the company should know what equipment they need to service and make sure they have the one of a kind items on hand in case.
