I would literally never recommend this company to anyone. They are partnered with our home warranty company’s unfortunately, we Paid them to fix our AC. Within 30 minutes after they left it was not working again. Called and called to get someone to come back out that day because it’s so hot, I have 2 small children, And we paid them to “fix it”. The front desk woman is soooooo rude and not professional in anyway, shape, or form. Had a second opinion mechanic come by and found MULTIPLE things wrong with our AC that Sierra never checked. Still haven’t received a phone call back on when they’re coming to fix it. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Avoid. Called at 3pm the day before install of a replacement AC unit to tell me that they couldn’t provide the agreed brand and would only install on my appt date if I went with a different brand AND paid them directly (as opposed to my home warranty company). if I didn’t agree I would have to wait 5 additional days (over the weekend) which wasn’t an option for me as a pregnant woman with 3 toddlers at home. Then, after install, they informed me that I would have to pay by check instead of credit card, which was not communicated to me beforehand.
Sierra was contracted for my home warranty repair. The scheduler was very polite and professional and accommodating to my scheduling needs. Repair technician arrived during the pre arranged time window and solved our issue and got us squared away quickly.
We were assigned this company by American Home Shield. They did a great job. Our heater had been going out occasionally for about a month, the technician was super nice and professional and diagnosed and fixed the problem within 15 minutes. They were able to come out the same day we reported the problem, which was really nice!
Terrible contractor, who doesn't communicate about work order updates, and they didn't even put my AC Unit back together all the way the first time they came out. If your warranty company offers this contractor I would advise to request a different contractor and Google their reviews quick. It's been over 90 days since I put a work request in and it still isn't fixed. The times I've called on my own to the contractor they always said the part is on order and waiting to come in. Then I would call my home warranty for a status update and when they spoke to them they would get the same answer. This is over the span on the 90+ days. Go to find out the other day that the contractor closed the work request on their end saying job complete which I got an email about and to write a review of them through American Home Shield. They never came out or called to do a job after the initial visit. **IF YOU ARE READING THIS. STAY AWAY.**
In June we contacted our Home Warranty Company to let them know we needed someone to come and look at our furnace - even though it wasn't on it was constantly making noise. The Home Warranty Company hooked us up with Sierra Mechanical and on June 28th they came out looked at it. They determined we needed a new part and told us they would order it and contact us in a couple weeks to come install it. Well, 2 weeks went by and we heard nothing. By week 3 we called them and they had no idea what we were talking about - thankfully we had kept the invoice and told them what part we needed. We set up an appointment between 9-1 the next day...The next day came and went and no one showed up. When we called, they again acted as if they had no idea who we were or that they had been to our house. LONG STORY SHORT....It is now October - after they missed 3 appointments they finally have showed up and guess what - they don't have the part we need with them. When I asked the tech why he didn't have it when we ordered it in JUNE he said that they must have lost the invoice. So now, the Tech is out getting the part and assured me he would be back to finish the job...AS IF I BELIEVE THAT - they say the right things but their service has been horrible. It is unfortunate the our Home Owner's Company doesn't do a little more research prior to working with these companies. Very unhappy with the service - it shouldn't take over 3 months to get something fixed and it certainly shouldn't be my job to keep calling them to remind them we still need a part. Don't waste your time with them!
Are negative stars an option?? I chose service not listed because they didn't do squat. The only good thing the company did was come out within an hour of a work order being created by my home warranty company American Home Shield. The technician was here for 15 minutes, he said he will call me within the next hour to get this fixed, he is sure this will be covered and he will get it up and running this same afternoon. That was 10/19/20, needless to say I never heard from him. I called AHS the next day to check status, they called Sierra Mechanical and spoke with Megan who told them a power outage on 10/19/20 prevented them from entering a work order and they will have it done that day. Of course that never happened, this goes on for a solid week. Same story, same no contact and same no heat for me. What company allows a power outage to cripple them for a solid week? One that is lying, there was no power outage in that area the day they claim. Ameren and Cuivre River have these handy outage checkers and there was none reported that day. So they are lying about that or it was user error, not good either way. After many phone calls with AHS I was able to get a different contractor, Renaud Heating and Cooling, out on 10/26/20 who sent the work order in and fixed my furnace all in the same hour. Sierra Mechanical probably is not educated enough in HVAC to actually do the work. So I wonder how they actually stay in business?? Refuse this company as contractor if they are dispatched from your home warranty service.
We had our furnace blower motor go out on the coldest day of the year. I submitted a claim through my home warranty and Sierra Mechanical was assigned to my account. They reached out very quickly, and got a technician over the same day. Our technician was very knowledgeable and started working on it immediately. Diagnosed a bad motor and replaced it within an hour. I would recommend Sierra Mechanical.
Our AC stopped working. Went through home warranty company who sent me to Sierra. Called first thing in the morning and even though they were booked up they got a technician to our house before noon. He had the right part and had AC working again right away. Technician was very courteous and knowledgeable.
Was assigned this company through our home warranty. Reached out on a Monday and had someone at our home the next day. Fixed our AC and had us up and running in under an hour. Very polite and would recommend this company to friends and family!
