On 10/6 I called them to unclog my kitchen sink. They had done some extensive work for me in 2021, and the work they did and the customer service was awesome. So, when the technician arrived on 10/6, he was very professional, he unclogged my drain, but then told me that I would need some more work done with a price tag of $3,500. I told him ok and scheduled it for the following week. I then got another company to come out because to me it only looked like a grease buildup. The other company's technician said that I was right. I gave True Blue 4 stars because I didn't write this post to demonize the company, but to show that all technicians are not as knowledgeable as others, and it's ok to get a second opinion, even if you do trust a company.

We had Chris help us out. Exceptional serviceman, took care of our issue. Replaced our main stack, ran new kitchen line & rerouted it to make it optimal, removed the old kitchen main. Also had him install a new water heater & he knocked it out.

Spent a solid chunk of change, but we have no worries about his work or that he'd be here asap to repair if needed. If needed, they'll be our first call. Easily can recommend Chris at True Blue!!! 👍👍👍

Today was the first of two visits. Having basement work so needed the water heater temporarily removed. Alex M., the technician, was very friendly and professional. He explained everything completely to my satisfaction. They will be back out to reinstall the water heater once the basement work is completed.
Update: The second visit, to reinstall the water heater, went just as well. Alex brought all the connections up to code. I will definitely use them again!

Our hot water started to run out very fast. I called True Blue Plumbing to come take a look at the water heater. Alex M. came to our house. We were told that everything was fine with the water heater and he suspected it was an electrical issue with the house, not the water heater. I was then told to call the manufacturer because the unit is new and may still be under warranty. This confused me, why would I call the manufacturer for replacement of any part if there was nothing wrong with the water heater? I called another plumber who came out and was able to immediately diagnose that we had a heating element that had failed as well as a blown expansion tank. He was able to replace both and our hot water was restored to normal. The whole family can shower again without hot water running out. True Blue charged me for the service call (having the rep come to your house) and charged me for the diagnosis.. all to tell me everything was fine and to call the manufacturer, when in fact there were clear issues with the water heater that they missed. I spoke with the manager afterwards and while everyone was friendly and professional, the quality of service was extremely low. I don’t write reviews, however this was worthy of one. Nice people, but I’m not sure I’d call them for assistance in the future.

Short Version: I encourage you to do a little more research and think twice before choosing True Blue. One suggestion is to use someone like Anthony Plumbing who will cost more but at least you can take comfort in knowing it's done right, by highly qualified installers, and they provide 24/7 support. Most importantly, you'll know their owner won't say, "tell her it's not that cold out tonight so they'll be fine." What it meant we were without heat or hot water for 18 hours because ATMOS Energy said the gas leak from their installation was so bad they had to shut off gas to the house.

Long Version: While doing your due diligence researching companies before making a costly decision, you'll do like I did and read as many reviews as you can. Unfortunately, you'll find examples of unhappy customers everywhere and consider True Blue's overall rating high enough so you'll think it will be fine. You likely save a little money with them, but you could also end up in the situation we're now in after a new tankless hot water heater installation.
After the installation, the True Blue plumber told my wife there might be a little condensation but nothing significant. However, as soon as the first person took a shower, there was a significant flow of water which was pooling back into our wall. The installer installed the drainpipe as a single PVC pipe straight down next to the wall instead of taking it to the floor drain. Of course, the result was water backing up into the framing of the wall. At that point, we asked for someone more qualified to come out and take a look at his work, and take the drain tube to the floor drain.
At that point it obviously wasn't a big deal and we thought we had peace of mind because they sent out their master plumber to inspect the work.
However, 9 days later we now have strong smell in our basement, and Atmos quickly found what they called, "a significant gas leak" from where True Blue rerouted our gas line. Unfortunately, the leak was too significant, and they had to shut it off for the entire house. All of this is exacerbated by the fact it's a Saturday and True Blue doesn't provide 24/7 support. Because this is such a significant issue, the owner is called and I've already provided his response. Bottom line, no one's perfect, mistakes happen, and stuff breaks but for me it's always about how someone responds in those situation which defines who they are as a company.

I called on Monday evening and by Tuesday afternoon my issue was taken care of! Alex was friendly, polite, professional and took the time to educate me on the work that needed to be done and the steps he would take to fix it. I didn’t feel pressured by him like other companies tend to sometimes make customers feel and I felt the price was fair for the work done. I’ll keep them in mind for any future plumbing issues I may have and will be sure to recommend them!
