Horrible Service from Dan Smith guy who came under Home Protection plan from DTE and was not able to do anything. He was on phone whole time and just noted something on slate and got my sign. Not at all happy. You should not choose Colonial for any service.
Reply to answer provided below - Dan was on call 3 times during his reply. His only interest was to complete the order on phone rather than customer. This is first time in 5 yrs of my protection plan i called someone. I am not technical so I need to ask some questions which are concerning me abt appliances. This is not good customer service at all
They repaired my dryer. I had very quick and courteous repairs. The first time out to my house they ordered the part that i was told it would 5 to 7 days for the part to be shipped to me and i had the part the very next day. Then it took only a day to schedule them to come back to install the part and they were very easy to work around my schedule. When they got here to install the part it took less than 10 minutes and now it runs like new. Thank you so much Colonial Heating and Cooling. I an very satisfied. 😁
Everyone who I came into contact with was super professional and very friendly. The first visit resulted in parts needing to be ordered. The parts came directly to my address within 2 days. I called back to make a new appointment to have the part installed. Phone tag was played for a couple days until we were able to finally communicate directly. For this reason I gave 4 stars, however personally I did not mind but someone else may. Also, it was coming up on the holiday weekend so I'm sure this had caused the delay.
Between both appointments, 3 men came in total. The first appointment were 2 men, one looked like an apprentice, which I thought was awesome. Both appointments came with a 20-30 min call prior to their arrival to let you know they were in route. They were very clean, fast, friendly, and super patient! 2 under 2 in our household that of course wanted to help, which during the first appointment the men humored my son and even allowed him to hold a screw driver. 🤣
If I ever need work done again I 10000% would hire them again.
After enduring the heatwave with no a/c, I was sooooo glad to see Jeremy of Colonial Heating & Cooling who was absolutely amazing. I couldn't have asked for anyone better! He quickly resolved my a/c issue and was very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. Jeremy went over and beyond his duties to bring another issue to my attention that would require a plumber and it could have cost me somr big bucks $$$$ had I not known or addressed it. The service was great and I would highly recommend this company for your heating and cooling needs. Jeremy is a great asset to your company and please send my thank yous and appreciation to him!
If putting your family in danger is what you are interested in please give them a call. Colonial was contracted to fix a gas leak in our home through our Consumers Appliance Plan. The workers came out to repair it and were very friendly. The day after the gas leak was repaired our home smelled of gas and we called Consumers to bring their sniffer out and determine if the leak was still present. When Consumers arrived we were told our gas would have to be shut off because as he put it “gas was blowing out of the pipe”. The field tech had repaired the original gas leak but created an entirely new and much worse leak that was not originally present. Having a new born baby and a wife recovering from a c-section having no heat or hot water for an undetermined amount of time was unacceptable. Additionally the risk my family was in with gas blowing out of a pipe. We reached out to Consumers since this company was contracted by them and we were told that someone would be out this same evening to fix the gas leak so we could have heat in our home. The dispatch reached out to us and said the soonest they could come out was 9 am the next day with no care or concern that our family would not have any heat in our home with a new born baby. We were told a supervisor would reach back out and no one did reach out the remainder of the night. Thankfully Consumers put us up in a hotel until the repair could be made the following day.
Overall the risk our family was placed in paired with the total disregard of concern from the company I would not recommend this company.
Maybe the rating will change once the refrigerator is actually fixed. They have been out here I think 4-5 times and each time it is not fixed. We are also never a priority even though it has been almost 3 weeks with them coming out. Their scheduling is horrible.
We had a issue with our dryer not heating up in our dryer. Colonial came out yesterday and Tiffany looked at the dryer and found the connector needed replacing. She went back to Colonial and got a new connector and came back within 15 minutes and fixed our issue. Tiffany was very professional and put everything back on the dryer. I would recommend Colonial as well as Tiffany as they show professionalism and great customer service. I
