    Very positive experience. Company worked me into the schedule in an expeditious fashion. Called me to inform of arrival, including parts being delivered to my house. Parts ordered and delivered to my house in the same day. Tech was super nice and professional. I was very impressed with the service and overall experience.

    I have used Colonial Heating and Cooling for several years, after they were suggested to me by the DTE Home Protection Plan. They repaired and maintained my old furnace and air conditioning system, and I purchased a new water heater and new furnace from them, too. They are always cooperative, reasonably priced, on time, easy to schedule appointments, very willing to answer questions and make sure the buyer understands the products. The workers are very professional and courteous. They also removed all of the old equipment and packaging from my home. I recommend them and hope to call them for future work, as necessary.

    I was offered this company through an appliance program I’m in. They picked them I didn’t but I normally don’t have issues with anyone they’ve sent. I work from home and asked that a note be left that if I am unable to answer the call that they still come out. They called, I missed the call due to work, I called back they denied my appointment due to the missed call. I then called the appliance program to verify the note was put in of my possible working and unable to answer the call. It was there. I’ve never had a problem with any other company and today will be 90 with no A/C. They have no consideration for a family with small children and no A/C. The secretary who answered the phone was rude cared nothing about my situation or that I have children. And I’ll make sure to pass this information on to whomever I know! I won’t be the last person with this type of issue I’m sure.

    The technician (Briat)...sp?? that came out yesterday to fix our dryer was AWESOME! He was very knowledgeable, thorough, friendly and represented your company extremely well! I would give him a 10 out of 10 rating!

    The first time I used Colonial, it was great!! The repairman that arrived assessed and fixed the problem, and then kindly answered all my questions, as this is the first house I have owned with a boiler heating system. I paid the $149 service call fee in advance and there were no additional charges for the part. About 3-4 months pass, and I had to contact them again for the same issue. The new repairman told me the part that was replaced (a thermocouple) the previous time was faulty, so the boiler needed a new one AGAIN...and it would cost $50 more than what I paid before, for something that didn't even last the entire winter!! I understand that things cost more, but it's a $10 part that should last for years, and he was in my house for maybe 20 min, for something that broke after a couple months. I questioned him about the timeline and price and was told that things are made cheaper now, there are no warranties for their work and, "That's what my supervisor told me." It blew my mind that Colonial doesn't stand behind the parts they provide, at least for a season. Disappointing, frustrating and felt very taken advantage of.

    I didn't even want to give this heating and cooling company one star but you got at least give it one star to leave a review they do not work on anything that's older model only new models and why would you need somebody to work on a new model they are disrespectful and they do really bad things behind your back.. my dryer wasn't even making any noise when he left it started making noise and he said he couldn't work on it because it was 16 years old it's still ran just fine it just wasn't heating up could not work on it he said real bad attitude real rude and not knowledgeable at all did not take pride in their company and do not take pride in their work.

    Obviously it's about the money. I had a bad safety valve on my stove. The young man who showed up in a passenger vehicle said I needed a whole new stove. I repaired it myself for 1/4 of the cost for a new one. Because the rules say if the item was wet they wipe their hands off and run. I have no hard feelings but I'll stay away from warranty from this company and dte. The kid seemed sincere but business is business right? I'll take my business elsewhere. A little respect goes a long way. You got a bad review because of how it was handled. Kids now a days don't know what respect is. It's about their life.

    Colonial installed a brand new furnace and air conditioner in my home. The original sales call was great. The installation team was on time, respectful to my home and finished early. They explained how to use and maintain the equipment before they left. Great value for my money. I will use them in the future for all of my HVAC needs.

    They were quick to respond and get an appointment for us for our hot water heater(twice). We needed a part, it was ordered and delivered to our house and they were able to get it installed the following day (even though we had to push it back a day due to our schedule.)Jesse was great, he was very professional and was also training someone at the time. Very knowledgeable. Thanks for the great service.
