    SMO provided my heat pump (condenser and evaporator coil). Andrew and Alejandro did the installation. They were on time, very courteous, and professional. They introduced themselves and explained what they were going to do. They covered the floor where they had to bring equipment in, covered their shoes to keep from tracking dirt in my home, and cleaned up the area when they had finished. They did an excellent job!

    We have used SMO for 41 years for heating oil. Recently they have gone to a new phone system and DO NOT answer the phone or respond to emails. This is disheartening.
    I have questions about the new billing system...there is no one answering the phone.
    Perhaps this will get someone to contact me

    Why is it IMPOSSIBLE to get someone to answer the phone????
    So... after 3 hours of waiting for a call back, we drove to Laplata office to talk to someone. Before we could get out of the car we were hailed by another customer waiting in the parking lot, he's been trying to talk to SMO for 2 days and is there for the same reason. He stated that he and another gentleman had been trying to get someone to come to the door because they were informed that everyone was inside in a meeting. They banged on windows and doors with no response and the other older gentleman got very upset and left.
    Perhaps SMO needs to examine their executives! Who would schedule an online payment system total change to take place at a time of year when many people are in need of heat for the very first time this season? You decided to not provide any advance notification to your customers, and you provide insufficient information on your website! You fail to inform customers that they are getting new account numbers but instruct them to set-up their new online access using their account number. Do you not think that your customers are going to be confounded by this? Obviously you DO NOT consider your customers AT ALL! I mean you've been in the home heating business for how long?... you know this is a time of year that MANY people will need their heat for the first time, and MANY will need oil deliveries for their heat. STILL, this is how you treat the very people that make it possible for you to feed your family? How incredibly ignorant is your leadership? You for sure are not the only service provider in Southern Maryland, but I am very sure you will understand that after this bumbling business decision!!
    I feel very sorry for your office staff having to field the many angry calls, and I suggest that the unconscious executives should have to spend weeks taking all the customer calls until THEY fix what THEY have caused!

    SMO does a good job. We have had a SMO service contract for over a year. They get it running before Winter. The only problem I have had is customer service. Getting a call back or talking to a representative takes a little while. Other than that, a good company.

    Amy was amazing this morning. Her professionalism, patience, persistence and going the extra mile was unmatched. Truth is I had been mislead by a few different people there. I was told no one could come out until after January 2023 to service my fireplace. Then told SMO wasn’t the owner of the propane tank at my home. Then told in the same day after (Chris) (who did an excellent job)serviced my fire place that no one from SMO was at my house. I called this morning September 23, 2022, explained what was going on and Amy went to work. She researched my issue and was able to efficiently trouble shoot what had happened and by the time we got off the phone, I was confident that I will be able to meet my dead lines. She is an ANGEL!!!

    I contacted SMO because one of my A/C units was not working. On 8/16/22, Technician Keith Ketterman came to my residence and displayed outstanding professionalism in diagnosing my problem. He ordered the part needed to solve the problem, and on 8/17/22, I was contacted by SMO letting me know the part was in and ready to be installed. I spoke with Melissa who scheduled my installation for 8/18/22. Melissa was pleasant, professional, and easy to talk to. I must say that anytime I have contacted and/or had communication with SMO employees, they have always been professional and willing to work with us until the problem is solved. Thank you all so much. Great customer service is hard to find, and you are appreciated.

    Reaching customer service was a challenge, but once I got through, the rep was very courteous and responsive.
    My technician - Alfredo- was fantastic. He explained the problem clearly and made suggestions on how to handle it.

    This is our 2nd go round. They sent somebody out to do a yearly cleaning on our furnace a couple months back while and shortley thereafter a day or so it stopped working. We were told we were out of oil.. Which we were not... Long story short it took them over a week to get our furnace working... Not sure what the person did who cleaned the furnace but obviously something.... Now we are on round too with them... Our furnace went out on Christmas Eve.... They told us they couldn't have anyone out until Monday the 26th and we had to be available between 8 and 5:30... thats the window. No one ever came. You can't get anybody to answer the phone. It took over an hour on hold before we get a response. Very frustrating. They use to be a good company not sure what happened to them. When we finally got ahold of someone er were told that they'd get to us as soon as possible they were very busy. When asked if it was going to be tonight we got the exact same rehearsed answer. Soo we have no choice but to wait. Sad situation all around!
