    The guys did a GREAT JOB! (Chris, Alejandro, and Fernando). I upgraded from a straight AC with oil heat and upgraded to a heat pump system with oil backup. They were responsive, respectful, competent, cleaned up behind themselves, gave quality service, communicated throughout the process, kindly answered questions, patient, considerate, helpful, understanding, and reasonable. I am absolutely pleased with their service and highly recommend them.

    Needed new filters for my air cleaner. Tyrone Nolan came that same day we called. He did a service on our furnace, ordered the new filters. He has been here before. As always he was efficient, and professional. Thanks SMO for taking care of us.

    I have to say this would be 5 stars if I were rating the techs who came to my house or the ladies who answer the phone. It would be 1 star if I were rating Dee, who ghosted me for a week trying to schedule a re-hook up of my gas line. Evidently in this whole company, only 1 person can assign the propane tech to come out. Doesn't do any good to keep calling when the only person you are harassing are the extremely helpful receptionists who are trying their best to connect you. After a week, when she finally calls me, she tries to tell me she gave me her direct number (NO!) and the receptionist have been told to give it out to customers (hope they start doing so!). Even though I've been with this company for decades, I started looking up other propane providers! I understand she might be busy. So call me and tell me so. I'll understand that. I just don't understand ghosting!

    Now to the good news and why I am staying with SMO. Chamar, James Hall and James Mason as well as Rhonda and Yna in the office were all above and beyond amazing. Sorry if I have mis-spelled some names! I really hope Dee takes some constructive criticism and opens up communication with clients in a timely manner. You don't have to have all the answers. You just have to be present. Return phone calls. Be honest. You are representing your company. And I am recommending this company because they do good work and have good people.

    On July 15th I had a complete new install to replace my aging equipment. I had a new AC unit, Furnace and Oil tank installed. There were two separate crews to perform the install which all was completed in one day. One crew was for the oil tank and the other was for the AC unit and furnace. I am writing this review to make sure I give a shout out to the gentlemen who performed the work.

    Donnie & Dejaun (Oil tank) & John, TJ & Jeremie (AC & Furnace), they were very knowledgeable and did not mind at all in addressing any questions or concerns I had during the install. They further had no issues with stopping at any point to explain what they were doing, and I instinctively remember one of them saying, “We want you to be very happy with this install”.

    However, I did have to call them back about two weeks later as I had experienced a small little leak in one of the oil tank lines. I called their after-hours number and spoke to Mike. He was great and took a real interest in getting a technician out to take care of the problem. I met Keith early Sunday morning and without hesitation, he immediately tackled the problem. Thank goodness it was only a loose coupling issue. He tightened the connections and cleaned up the oil spill.

    I’m here to tell you, if you have any doubts or second thoughts about having SMO install new equipment at your home, do not hesitate. You are in good hands and have nothing to worry about.

    Lastly, I want to point out and make very clear the most satisfying part of the whole install is the SMO crew paid very close attention in preserving and respecting the sanctity of my home and cleaned up every piece of trash when they finished as well as the job turning out better than I expected. All stages of this process went smoothly and as promised.

    I was serviced today, June 30, 2023, by Alfredo J. Even though I was an add-on Alfred arrived early and found out what the problem was and fixed it. He became my teacher and I, his student. He responded to all questions and was able to provide answers to help me understand the function of equipment.

    I’ve used this company for almost two years. I have always paid in full upon or within a few days of delivery. They recently updated their system, removing everyone information. In the middle of a week with average temperature in the mid 20s/low 30s, I run out of propane in the middle of the night because they put a delivery hold on my amount because of a balance that was less than half a delivery. that I immediately paid in full. I had propane from last season and didn’t even know they had recently delivered 60/70 gallons. No letter, no email, no call the day of the delivery or in advance of them placing a hold on my account. My house plunged into the 50s overnight… It took them half a day to get to us with a delivery. I was on the phone for 30 minutes because of all the confusion between the delivery guy, who didn’t even tell me he was here or leave a printout/bill, and had left the valves open/on and the guy doing the leak test who said the valves were supposed to closed/off until he performed the test. Because we ran out of propane, they had to do a leak test for which I had to stay home from work: The guys numbers were so off during the first test, the office called saying they needed him to recheck the numbers which meant another day home from work. He gets here around 6PM (meaning I could have gone to work) and is outside doing this test for two hours. Both nights after the leak test, I wasn’t even sure if I should even stay in my home. Several times throughout this process, day 1 and 2, I requested to speak with a supervisor. Each time they were all in a meetings. I asked for a call back. To date, no supervisor has called me. Then a couple days later I log in to pay… Not only is there still a delivery hold on my account but there is also a $99 leak test fee! Are you kidding me?? If I could give them a zero, I would. If you have options, I suggest you consider themj. That is exactly what I am doing.
