Third night with no heat after Griffiths let my oil run out. On automatic delivery. Customer service (of which they have NONE) assured me that if it was an oil supply issue, the tech would add 10 gal to be able to bleed the system and get it running until a delivery was made. Tech came out finally Thursday evening to "diagnose" the problem and found no oil. Did NOT add 10 gal to get me going and bleed the system- instead flat out lied to me that it didn't need to be bled, I could just use the restart button after delivery. Of course that didn't work and when I called for service, the dispatcher actually laughed when I told her. I was assured the on call tech would contact me to come out and get it running. 12 hours later, house at 52 degrees and no call. I called back 3 times last night and was assured each time that my ticket was "next". Avoid this company! In 2 years, they also have not been able to correct a billing error in their system. They will randomly increase your monthly rate, even when you are paying enough to cover costs. They claim to have delivered oil a month ago, but there was no receipt and I have no oil!

Griffith Energy Services, Inc are great, they put me on a budget plan when I bout my house in West Virginia. I needed a new oil tank and they brought me one and put it in and they put that on the budget also. They automatically deliver oil and when I call them they are right there with oil. I just thing they are great and when I call them on the phone everybody in the office is so nice and always willing to help you.

On 2014, I have installed a heat pump with Griffith. On 2015, the unit no longer produce cool air in the near summer. So I called Griffith and a technician found that there was no more refrigerant. I told them that I just got the unit installed one year, but they still charged me for the refrigerant refill. On 2016, the unit was out of refrigerant again, but I found out it was a dirty Schrader valve at one of the service port was leaking (Isn't it supposed to be checked for leak when the refrigerant gets filled afterward as a standard procedure?). The valve was changed and it lasted until year 2020 then the compressor gave out. This time I did a ton of research before I called Griffith again and they finally replaced the compressor. After about a week, the unit does not produce cool air again. I found out that the unit Low Pressure Switch was activated and the brazing of the compressor was not done properly which caused the leak. I requested service with Griffith again. The technician brazed the compressor again. As I watched, I noticed that the Nitrogen Pressure Test was not done. When I requested a pressure test with Nitrogen, the technician only did a vacuum on the system and without the proper industry standard. Guess what? On 2021, the refrigerant had leaked again and it was leaked at the same place where it was brazed on the compressor connections. You can see the refrigerant oil all over it. (Can you count how many times the refrigerant gets filled and leaked so far?)

We have dealt with Griffith Energy for many years and have always enjoyed a dependable, friendly relationship with them. Their service people are prompt, well-trained, and knowledgeable, and always a pleasure to deal with.

We had two things done to our heating system, and Griffith sent two different technicians to perform the jobs on different days. Both were excellent. Danilo, the first technician, did an excellent job of maintenance on our heating system, answered all my questions, and double-checked everything before leaving.

The second tech, Dwayne, installed a new part, and then took the time to endure that the draft regulator was working properly. I was impressed with the fact that both techs took the time to do things right. These people earn their five-star rating!

We have been a customer since we moved into our house several years ago, no more! Our furnace backed up with oil smoke causing thousands in damage just a few weeks after they serviced it. To add insult to injury after they disconnected our furnace a month ago (!) We just received a bill for refilling our tank. The tank which we no longer use! I understand that it was automatic refilling but if we ask for a quote for a gas furnace (which we never got) and you disconnect our oil furnace, do you think it fair or right to then fill our tank worth of $500 in oil?? We now have $1000.00 in oil we cannot use. To possible new customers; beware of this company. Worst customer service I have ever encountered in my life.

Excellent service received from service technician, Emelka. He called ahead to let me know at what time he was arriving and was on time. He communicated the issue the system had, the work that needed to be done, and how that would fix the issue. He was professional and courteous and fixed the issue very quickly. I highly recommend Emelka and Griffith’s customer service.

I have been a customer of Griffith in PG County, MD since the 1970's. Aside from highly reliable oil delivery year-round, they have installed a new energy efficient furnace, hot water heater, and central AC unit. Service has always been top-notch professional. And my service contract ensures that they will fix my system in the dead of a below zero winter night, which they did in less than two hours! A life saver from me. For me, this has been an easy, high quality decision to make and stay with for nearly 50 years, I'm a very happy customer.

So far I'm having the worst customer experience with this company ever and they haven't even shown up yet. Typically I don't write complaints but this time I feel it's my only way to vent. Hopefully someone will read this and go with another company and it will save them some time out of there day. Two days ago I submitted a service request to repair a Oil furnace in one of my properties that's being rented. Long story short I was given a 4 hour service window (12pm -4pm) today that a tech will be there. Around 1pm I received a email receipt from Griffith Energy for the service fee. Since no one called me I figured it was something simple and the tech easily resolved the issue and charged the $119 trip charge. At 4:45pm I got a angry call from my tenant upset because they stayed home from work and no one ever came. When I called, I was told that they had a lot of no heat calls today and the techs were running late but they will be there. If that was the case why didn't someone call me or the tenant saying they was running late and why was my account charged if they didn't service the furnace yet?? I can't understand how someone that had a service appointment days ago get placed LAST after other people that called that same day. As a property manager I use commercial HVAC technicians all the time but this is the worst service Ive ever experienced and they haven't even worked on the unit yet. Currently the time is 8:24pm and still no call no show but they've already charged my account and paid themselves for something they didn't do.

Everyone at the Cheverly location of Griffith's was fantastic. My AC went out during a heat wave last summer and they put a rush on my request. Their professionalism and friendliness was much appreciated. I'd like to thank the manager Marty, the salesperson Harry F. and Roosevelt, the technician.
