Not even close to doggone dependable. 13 days since I called for oil and still nothing, except for an emergency 10 gallons on day 10. Even though I’ve called almost every day since day 8 and they keep telling me they are coming that day (once they said first thing the next day) but nope, still haven’t gotten a full delivery. And it’s sooo cold out, we’re burning it quicker so this is not a good feeling. After about 6 yrs being a customer! Not the first time this has happened and not the only issue we’ve had. Unreliable company, don’t bother unless u want to be worry about being left in the cold with no heat.

I have had a horrible experience with Griffith service for the past 3 weeks.
I have an outside oil boiler that needed repair.
On day one of scheduled service I specifically
told them I needed an afternoon appointment and was given a 12 to 2 time slot.
At about 9:50 when I was not home, my wife called me on my cell to say the just arrived.
After 15 minutes or so making phone calls I was told they would come back between 12 and 2.
By 2 I was calling them to see where they were.
They said tech would be there by 4.
They never called and never showed.
So we re scheduled for another for another day between 2 and 4. Almost a repeat performance only worse. No show by 4. I called and they said tech would be there by 5. At 5 I called and they said tech would be there by 6:30. By 8 I turned off my phone and expected to have missed a message from them. I was wrong. Again no call no apologies-nothing.
I then called and asked for a service manager to call me. They said I would get a call before the end of the day. You guessed it - still waiting.
They have very good techs once they arrive but
there service has pushed me away as a customer of about 15 years.

Just found out that I've been consistently OVERCHARGED for heating oil by 50%!! Do NOT do business with these fraudsters.

When I called them they immediately dropped their price by $2+ per gallon.

I feel defrauded and sick, as I've been a customer for nearly 20 years. Think of the thousands of ill-gotten dollars they've taken from me.

I bought a new AC from Griffith in a rental unit and they without my Knowledge signed me up for a service contract and for a year charged me for service. After speaking with a service rep several times to be removed, I continued to get billed. They came out and charged me 400.40 for replacing a 18 dollar capacitor on a 2 year old AC. I paid the bill over the phone and then get an addition bill. The rep cancelled it and here I am looking at another 90 dollar bill that just arrived. I told them please remove me from there system and instead of doing so, gave me a new account# with a bill attached. ALL MY NEIGHBORS SAY The same thing! It's like trying to drop a Amazon or Direct TV service. DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS!

Agree with the other gentleman who noticed their oil is over $1 more per gallon. My landlord used this company but when I saw what they charged us, I canceled auto fill. Fast forward to when we need more oil, I call around and check prices. Griffith is $1.20 more than pretty much everyone. When I mentioned that, they offered to negotiate. No. If you can deliver it cheaper, do that up front, not wait until someone complains. Everyone is struggling with increased prices right now and these jerks choose to take advantage of it further. You won't get anymore of our money.

They charged a ton of money for a service plan and never fulfilled a single service request or seasonal tuneups. Impossible to get anyone on the phone. Our furnace kicked up soot all over the house because they let the oil get too low.

My home unfortunately still had oil heat when I purchased it a few years ago. It’s very warm, but is expensive, bad for the environment, and stinks. I plan to convert this summer. Last winter, I had an issue with Griffith making a delivery and not leaving a bill- so I had no idea more oil had been delivered. They then send me a large bill later, which left me confused. The two deliveries were very close together. I asked the that the account be taken off of ‘auto’ fill. My request was honored, so I had to call in December for delivery. I requested they deliver only 1/2 a tank, because I knew I would convert in the spring/summer. That delivery took place, and then a week later, someone comes to fill the tank. I posted a sign directly above the fill valve outside of my house on 1/25/22 that said ‘No Oil Delivery’ with the date posted. Approximately two weeks ago, the oil completely ran out, which I was fine with. I had paid for both the requested and the unauthorized delivery.Today I get home to find a bill for 243 gallons of oil totaling approximately $1500! The delivery driver completely ignored the posted sign, which is doubly infuriating as I had already taken the account off of auto fill. I immediately called customer service and was told by the rep, ‘I don’t see where you took it off of auto’. Really? But I had to request delivery in December. He told me he would put a stop on the account today, but they couldn’t do anything about the delivery from today. That’s complete BS. I have no intention of paying Griffith Oil a penny for this delivery made out of pure greed. If you are still using oil to heat your home of have any other needs they claim to service, use another company.

Emeka provided professional service on my furnace. He called ahead, arrived on time, performed thorough check of my heating system and oil tank. He identified the problem, explained the work he did to correct it and cleaned up the area before leaving. I would highly recommend him as a Griffith Technician.

Several other estimates had pronounced our AC system DEAD, ie too old to maintain or repair. All they wanted was a big sale.

I phoned Griffith with the expectation of replacing the AC. Since they have been super dependable in keeping our heating system goin through the years. They came quickly and repaired our AC in under an hour.

Thanks to the two men who came to our home!
