I am happy with the service APW provided. The service technicians were able to arrive earlier than scheduled (which was good for me). Dave Moreno and Josue were professional, polite, and efficient. They got in, did the work as explained, and finished up in a very reasonable time frame. When I asked for additional bids for other possible projects, they worked those up without hesitation. Instead of calling another vendor and wondering if you will hear back or when they might arrive and what they will do, give APW a try.
1. On the day that masks became a Wyandotte county order, we had to ask our “Comfort Specialist” to put hers on after entering our house. 2. The Comfort Specialist assured us she would be here the morning or install. She never appeared and we never received any communication as to why this happened. 3. The Comfort Specialist quoted us about $2600 for our buyout option from our home warranty company. Having been on the job for 5 years as she stated, she should know that we only get a buyout from pieces that are deemed broken. In this case, our coil, which means we now receive less money from our warranty company than choosing to instead do a credit through APW. Probably what they wanted to accomplish anyways. 4. Our Comfort Specialist sold us on the fact that APW could put a humidifier in our attic. Not only was she wrong, she then tried to sell us a “steam humidifier” for $1700, only for us to find out later from one of APW’s techs that even the steam humidifier won’t work in the attic. This is after the comfort specialist had apparently talked to some managers and was going to offer us the steam humidifier for only $675 or give us a $675 credit. We refused since we believed we deserved more compensation. Since she has worked for the company for 5 years, you would think she would know this about the humidifiers. 5. We had to ask three separate times between the front desk receptionist and our comfort specialist to have an invoice sent. Our final invoice is still incorrect because it shows that a humidifier was installed when it was not. 6. After our new system was installed, the tray under our furnace kept collected 1-2 inches of water, forcing the a/c to shut off. We returned home 3 days after it was installed and found the house at 86°. We called our comfort and told her the situation and she told us someone would be out first thing in the morning. It took 3 phone calls the next day for us to have someone come out the next day and look at the a/c and say they fixed it. Someone wasn’t out to our house until 1pm. 7. The following day, the A/C is still shutting off after a visit from the same techs who installed it. We are finally able to have a manager (Jason) come out and he diagnoses the problem as the wrong coil being put in. 8. We finally get someone to come out and fix the issue so that the a/c doesn’t shut off the whole time. 9. We put our complaints in and we’re told we’d receive a call from the COO by the end of business on Monday. We called 4 times after not receiving a call on that Monday requesting to speak with them and they are conveniently not available each time. 10. Out of the blue, we are told we have to have a post inspection done before “our options can be discussed”. We get that done and request a call from the COO that day (Thursday) and a call never appears and when we call, they are out of the office again. 11. We were pushed off and had not received a call back once after requesting work or requesting a call in order to say our complaints. We had to call every single time. This is not the Dixie difference we were promised. This is not good customer service 12. We wasted more than a week of our time dealing with waiting for someone to fix our brand new system. 13. We did finally speak to someone after they “discussed our options” which included our demand that we be compensated 15% for our troubles. They did give us a 15% refund, but it was like pulling teeth to even talk to someone about it. We should’ve read the reviews and not gone with the first company our warranty company suggested. They still haven’t replaced something they said they would since they did install two brand new systems, but for some reason left some of the old parts on. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL TRY TO SCAM YOU.
First, I would like to say that the ladies in the office were very very nice. But the tech Jason that they sent out to my house was not so nice. He was very manipulative and I felt like he was playing on the fact that I was a woman and didn't know about the HVAC and manipulated the situation so that I will have to pay the company. My home warranty would have covered everything even though he told me that they wouldn't. My home warranty was kind enough to send out a second opinion and the second opinion gave them the proper information and they are covering it 100%. I would not recommend this company for anybody to use because the check was trying to do a rush job and offer me services without even reported my claim to my home warranty. The text Jason was already offering me financing options and I hadn't even agree to anything. Do not use this company.
Worst experience with any company. Their entire goall is to upsell you and do add-on costs. They ordered the wrong parts the parts did not come in on time they did not show up and lied on several occasions about being at our house and us not being home.
Didn't do the services that were scheduled charged additional fees each time they showed up. I would never use them again and strongly suggest whoever reads this never use them
What an awesome service visit! Henry G. from APW just wrapped up our furnace cleaning. He was very thorough and informative regarding our new system. Additionally, he took the time to show my husband a visual of an issue that we need to correct that if not corrected soon could impact our health. This was extremely important to know because our son has bad allergies along with asthma. Without Henry taking the time to do this, we likely wouldn't have known. I appreciate the high level of customer service that he's provided and hope that he can continue servicing our home for our future heating and cooling needs. Always nice when you can end a service call on a good note! Thank you!!
I was pleasantly please that my warranty company contracted APW for my plumbing repair. They communicated by Email once they accepted my warranty company's repair request, advised me when the technician was enroute to our home and Joshe and Steve arrived 5 minutes early. Upon arrival they ask If I preferred that they wear a mask before they entered my home and they were gracious in complying with my request to do so. They quickly diagnosed the problem, contacted my warranty company to determine coverage for the repair and was able to make the repair and inspect the water pressure within 50 minutes and they advised me the part my warranty did not cover was inexpensive and could be purchased at Menards or homr depot. I am very satisfied with the service they provided.
Steve came out to take care of a problem with my water softener which was serviced last week and was not working. He was able to diagnose and fix in short order. He also recommended a way for me to be able to more easily do self service on my sediment filter.
I am very upset with the price. Thinking it was going to be $125.00 and ended up at $350.00. I asked him if we could get at least a senior discount and he said no but I could call tomorrow and ask. I was Under the impression that the cost would be close to $125.00. He wanted to sell me a raised toilet but it was $700.00. Ridiculous. I have given your company thousands in 22 years. He did not leave a receipt so do not know what the breakdown was. I think it took him 10 minutes. He told us about f we bought the expensive toilet he would deliver 10 bags of salt to the basement free of charge. Not sure I can trust you guys now you do not seem to value loyal customers. Josue left two new faucets here and needed to make a trip back to pick them up. Maybe 🤔 my honesty of telling you about them was not appreciated. But I do the right thing always. A discount for that would have been very fair.
I was notified via email that the installer was on the way and he arrived shortly after and on time. The installer was very friendly and professional the entire time he was here. He also told me what he was going to do during the install and then showed me what he did when the installation was complete. Everything was neat and clean when installer left.
Everyone from APW was exceptional, professional and dedicated to making the experience as painless as possible. Jamie did a great job of providing information so that we could make an informed decision. The installers worked hard to get everything right and put in all the time necessary (over 8 hours) to make sure that there were no problems. Would recommend APW without hesitation
