    My AC went out and my home warranty company sent out APW to diagnose the problem. The diagnosis was that the outdoor AC unit needed a new motor, fan blade, and capacitor (which was all covered by the home warranty company). But before that work could be done on the OUTDOOR AC unit, APW said the furnace burners (on the INDOOR furnace) needed to be cleaned which was not covered and APW would have charged me an additional $125. Did I fail to mention that we have an HVAC maintenance program with another company and the burners were cleaned 2 months prior?... Does this seem like a scam to you?

    Update: I just had another heating and cooling company come out and they evaluated my broken AC. This new company said my fan blades and capacitor were fine and I only needed a new motor. My AC was up and running after 1.5 hours and that included time for the technician to go and get the new motor... Dose APW seem like a company that likes to charge for unnecessary repairs?

    This company was assigned through my home warranty to look at a leak in my kitchen sink and a leak in the pipes in the downstairs basement. It was determined the kitchen sink faucet needed replaced along with the supply lines. For the bathroom, the toilet needed a new wax ring and that would prevent the leaking of the pipe downstairs. First they overcharged for all the parts causing me to have out of pocket expenses on top of my deductible. Then they charged me an extra "fee" to remove the toilet for the wax ring replacement. Even though they are already going to be paid labor by the home warranty. Then the staff put dark grey caulk around my toilet on my white floors. I have emailed them 2x to try and get a resolution but they have not returned my emails. So i am leaving this review and will reach out by phone to see what their response is. I'm guessing they will make excuses. Then they will reply to this review with "Thank you for your response. We wished you had a better experience" since that is what they tell most people who have left negative reviews.

    I would have given this company a zero star review if that was possible. They came out approximately 8 times to try and fix our AC unit. They were unable to fix it. Gave us a quote of 7-22k for a new unit??
    I couldn’t believe it. We called the home warranty company and told them to send another company out. The new company came out to diagnose the problem communicated with the home warranty company and a week later everything works great! I really wish we would never of had APW come out, I cannot warn you enough not to use this company.

    I don't know what has happened to this company, in 2016, we installed all new mechanicals in our home in Leavenworth, KS. We have maintained a maintenance agreement evey year with them, now we have had tankless water heater problems, and their water softener has failed, despite having a maintenance agreement. We had to get a plumber our self to fix the water heater, because apparetly hot water is not an urgent maintenace request. They sechedule a service call a week out. I'm not happy with the company, I asked to speak to the owner and got a scheduler that was little or no help for us. I won't be recommending them to anyone in the near future.     BEWARE BATE AND SWITCH and SHADY DEALING>>>If you are a American Home Shield Warranty customer and they send you APW Plumbing, Heating & Cooling to fulfill the service of the warranty beware. Bate and Switch - The convinced our renter that the Garbage Disposal needed to be upgraded to 1/2 HP from the 3/8th that was there and additional plumbing needed to be done. The cost the technician told our renter was $15 above the $75 we normally would pay. Somehow the technician also convinced them they need to pay the $234 charge up front. Long story short we are out the $234 plus the $75. they had the gall to send an invoice that included a $52 diagnostic fee which later was taken off. American Home Shield customer 1) never let APW into your home for any reason - you cannot trust them. 2) never pay the service provider a penny up front - the only thing you pay is the $75(Or what ever amount you agreed to pay per item fixed)

    Bought an ac, furnace and water softener system in October 2017. Main goal was to have ac ready to go for the summer but that didn’t happen. Went the entire summer of 2018 with window units because their A/C unit couldn’t cool the house below 85. Wasn’t until things cooled down that they finally did some type of repair, so now I am waiting till 2019 to see if it works. 6 visits easily in total, all that was done was system testing to say that the system was working, wasn’t until the final visit they found air leaks and decided to seal them up. 2 other company’s have stated that the unit/air handler is to small for the home. I would tend to believe that, considering my window units worked fine; by APW standards, I guess 1 window unit should cool the home. Calling their office/appointments is a whole other issue itself.

    The plus side I suppose,
    Never had issues from their techs, I would assume that the message was never relayed from the office of the issue I was having.

    Haven’t had any issues with the water softener

    Jason has been awesome through the whole process from purchase to installation. We appreciate how quickly APW was able to get out here and assess our problems, as well as, sell us a quality product. The crew that came in were courteous and worked hard to get our installation completed. If they didn't have to drill and tear equipment apart, you wouldn't have known they were here.

    Apw is by far the worst business ever! They are incredibly unprofessional, rude and never have show up for a scheduled appt. they constantly call to reschedule. We bought a brand new heating air and tankless water heater, within in 3 months of heater install we started to have issues. We called and they wanted to charge us service fee, the Thermostat was triggering a boiler code (we don’t have a boiler) and we informed them, they came told us the filters need to be changed every 2 months (we just changed it like 3 weeks prior to them coming out) and charged us for filters and service fee for things that were NEVER taken care of. I would NEVER recommend this scam of company to anyone. I am pro small business and pro women owners but these people are on a whole other level of scam and worthless.

    Extraordinary service! Extraordinary people! We replaced a furnace and APW was the company assigned by my home warranty company. I had not heard of APW and we were very fortunate they were assigned to us. We had a compressed timeframe to diagnose and eventually replace the furnace. APW worked with me and the warranty company to accelerate the process and install the furnace. I could not have asked for a better partner than APW to get the job done. Next time I have heating, cooling, or plumbing needs I will go to APW without hesitation. Thank you for a job well done.
