APW Plumbing, Heating & Cooling

I haven’t made a decision yet to move forward with our project and was looking for a estimate regarding multiple items to for my basement project as well as improvements that we can plan for in the future. The estimator was right on time and very professional. He turned around the quote in about an hour and if their installation team is as great as the experience I’ve had thus far, I’d be more then glad to have used them.

I used this plumbing company for some repairs through my Home Warranty Company. First of all, the appointment was very hard to get with my convenient timing. Finally I got an appointment with their availability. The plumber came and fixed one thing out of 6 repairs/replacement, saying that he don’t have the necessary tool and parts to replace it and would come back to fix it. Even though the repair was not done completely, he collected the trade fee, which I was hesitating to give without completing my repairs. Like many other customers I see complaining, they are really pushy for sales and give you unnecessary things to replace once they are in your home. Their lady owner and the staff are very unprofessional and does not do anything with your concerns. When I asked them about the status of my claim, their front desk staff told me that they are busy with their regular business calls and don’t have time to enquire about my claim. Also, they just hung up or transfer around your calls if you have any unresolved issues.

Their plumber told me that I need to consider putting a water softener system. So they send me a huge price tag quote to replace these items. Also, he told me that he will submit my claims to the home warranty company and would not mention the hardness issue in my water like any other homes in this area. Since I did not buy these items from them, they submitted my claims stating water hardness issue and my home warranty company immediately denied my claim for the replacement of faucets. Now I have to pay another trade fee call that they would not refund and I have to pay another plumbing company to come out and do the rest of their unfinished repairs.I have blacklisted this company and would never use them again in my life. Very unethical business practices and truly unprofessional. If I had the ability to put “zero star”, I would have put that.

We had APW come out to take a look at our old water heater. They did a thorough inspection and made their recommendations for replacement. They also took the opportunity to review our other systems as we were looking to potentially replace older units. They were very professional and courteous. They explained what they were doing and gave us honest options. To boot they even came a day early due to a cancellation. Appreciated the opportunity to work with them and will look to work with them in the future.

This is a woman owed business and I was connected with them through my 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. They were able to provide extremely quick service, my entirely new HVAC system was installed 2 days after I met them and they provided several upgrades, discounts, and promotions. They provide easy financing. After installation, they do a post installation walk through to answer any questions and double check their work. If you use their biannual service agreement (included for the first year at no cost) , they also provide a 12 year warranty! They even sent me a thank you gift of cookies and a vacuum insulated cup!

Service representative was very polite upon calling to explain the issue and promptly scheduled a technician. The plumbing technician evaluated the issue and solved the problem of replacing two outside water faucets in 90 minutes. The cost was a bit over competitors. Given the situation and timing, I was happy with the service and urgency of resolving a minor catastrophe of a flooded basement.

We have American Shield Home Warranty. This company was who we got set up with due to water leak. This company only comes to Independence one day a week, it took them a week to get here after putting in request through home warranty. Once here advised what issue was and that we had to create an access for them to fix it. Once that was done they came out to “re-diagnose” what they already diagnosed and advised “other issues we had to get fixed and that home warranty wouldn’t pay for it (which I expected them to contact home warranty to verify before making that decision) Made us pay for all of that including a $65 re-diagnose fee which should not be charged. After contacting home warranty multiple times a week for weeks advising them of the charges, APW still had yet to fix the leak and it was now going on 4 weeks, we got a second opinion and the water leak was not what APW advised was the problem and just so happened to be one of the things they made us pay for that they claimed home warranty wouldn’t pay for. To top it all of the new plumbing company advised we didn’t have to make the hole in wall and it was all done for nothing. This new plumbing company is also fixing the problem In 4 days compared to almost the 4 weeks it has taken APW. We finally smartened up with this company and had enough of their games. We did get a refund after advising them I didn’t want them to do anything. This company scams people who have home warranty. DO NOT use this company. In my multiple calls to home warranty I have advised them they need to drop their contract with this company. You will be out lots of money if you use them and they will tell you it won’t be covered when in all reality they never checked with the home warranty.

We have used APW for plumbing repairs and upgrades as well as the installation of a water conditioning system (which we LOVE!). We have been very happy with the service. It's easy to schedule and we always have not just good, but EXCELLENT service from the plumbers. We will continue to use and recommend APW.

I got my system in 2017 and have kept my systems maintained with them and they have kept their word of the warranty which is rare in my opinion. They’ve always worked to be kind and understanding in their customer service. Henry has been to our home a few times and today and even though he had to order parts he was thorough in explaining what was wrong and is on top of getting it fixed ASAP and staying in communication. They are respectful of wearing booties to keep from tracking things in and are always nice to my kids who are so interested in knowing what they’re doing.

I purchased a HVAC system. They did not fix the duct work as we were told so I had to have them come back out because they left a 3 inch gap in the duct that comes directly out of the unit. I also requested them to unclog my kitchen sink. A plumber spent 10 minutes to snake the line and said he couldn't fix it and wouldn't charge me. I called Roto Rooter and they spent a little more time and fixed it. Then I received an invoice that they sent to my home warranty company after telling me there would be no charge since they didn't fix the issue! I'm sorry that I wasted so much money with them. Would not recommend for any plumbing or HVAC work.

We had our hvac + furnace replaced by APW two years ago during the '18 heat wave. They were quick to solve our problem, professional, and overall amazing and have continued to be so since.

This afternoon we had Henry out and 5/5 Stars doesn't cover the interaction I just had with him. He was on time, friendly, knowledgeable, quick, and informative. He ran through each step of his work thoroughly with me and was happy to answer all of my questions. What I'm trying to say is that Henry is awesome and his customer service is top notch. APW is blessed to have a technician like him and many others on their staff and it's a very large reason I recommend them to those I know.

I greatly look forward to our next inspection.
