Let me preface by saying we’ve happily used CATES for almost 20 years for our HVAC needs. They’ve always been trustworthy. I didn’t realize they also had a plumbing dept.
We had a leaky toilet from “rookie” installers. I called CATES on a Friday. They came out the following Monday afternoon (fast response). The repairman was there about 30 minutes. He pulled the toilet, put a new wax ring on and reset the toilet. The bill came to $275!! We hadn’t had a plumber come out in several years so maybe I’m out of touch with current costs, but I was shocked at the price! He did fix the leak but if anyone has a similar problem, maybe get a reliable handyman? Or get it right the first time lol JS. We will still use CATES in the future though.

Update: A few friends have since told me that this seemed like a reasonable fee. I was out of touch lol

We initially had Neal Harris come look at our furnace when it stopped working because we're new to the area and our home, and their sticker was on the system. Anyway, it was the 3 days where the high temperature was not over 0 degrees and they told us we'd need a whole new HVAC system installed and it was going to cost tens of thousands of dollars and several days. We were feeling stuck, but luckily I got a second opinion! Dwan at Cates came by (and while we were out of town, because our house was FREEZING) and was able to get everything back online no problem. We were shocked and so very thankful that he was able to get our home heated again during the coldest days of the year. I'd recommend them to anyone because he saved us so much money and heartache!

I've used CATES for years and have been impressed by their ability and willingness to backup their work. I used them in 2014 to install new HVAC in my old house and used them again in 2021 in a different house. They do quality work. Dillion took the time to listen to every concern I had and answer all my questions. He educated me about my system and went above and beyond my expectations. Even the little things like running wires or water lines, the way they did it looked clean and you can tell he took the extra time to do it right. He made me feel comfortable with my purchase and ensured I will use CATES again in the future.

Colden was so professional and helpful. He reviewed what was wrong and leaking, with me, quoted a rate, then went to get parts and made the repairs. He was sure to double check his work and cleaned up after. He even fixed a hinge in the cabinet door which was not on his list! Just always love Cates! Colden is efficient and so helpful. Thank you!

Cates Heating and Cooling Services is a true service company. They are not sales people trying to make a buck. They genuinely care about their customers. Nathan solved an issue with my air conditioner this summer. Today he went above and beyond servicing my furnace. Nathan's wealth of knowledge and the time he spent making sure I understood everything was phenomenal. I'm recommending Cates to everyone I know. Thank you!!

They had to replace parts twice, that did not fix the issue, then they replaced the entire new unit with another new unit. For a year now we have listened to a howling noise that they don’t see to care about. Just say no to Cates. I wish I could let you hear this noise. Carrier told us to write them a bad review, cates doesn’t care about what customers think. Their “team” sat us down and told us to be happy. Unbelievable. The unit is too small and the house is never cool. The upstairs is uncomfortable and we have to run a fan pointed upstairs from the down stairs to help the bedrooms be liveable.

I'm a first time customer and couldn't be happier! I called for an appointment and less than 2 hours later my furnace was repaired. The technician, Mark, was super friendly, triple checked everything, and took the time to explain things to me. I highly recommend Cates Heating & Cooling.

We contacted Cates over a month ago. They came to our home and were supposed to send us a quote within 1-2 weeks. 3 weeks later, we still did not receive an email or call with the quote and next steps. We waited another week and still nothing. We have tried contacting the technician twice this week with no response.

In response to the owner: Your records are incorrect. We did not receive a quote via phone or email. We have checked our spam folders and we contacted the technician with no response. You have our phone number on file. You should be contacting the customer to resolve the issue.
