Cates Heating & Cooling

We called Cates on the hottest day since 2018 after our AC blew up & they came to our rescue within an hour! The service technician worked hard to put a bandaid on our 26 year old Cates unit to no avail. We were given 3 options & chose to get an entire new heating & cooling system. Pem Newberry came out to show us our options for installation. They were here the next day at 8am & Joe & Cody worked diligently to get our new system up & running. They ran into some snags but their expertise was impressive. So within 24 hours we had a house cooling down from 90 degrees! We can’t say enough about these individuals & are so pleased with their professionalism, friendliness & workmanship.

Scheduled an appointment to fully replace both the furnace and AC units several weeks ago. I had previously gotten a quote about 2 years prior, but was now ready to commit to an install. I understood the pricing had likely changed, and I was told I would be called back to discuss new financing and warranty options.
However, I didn't hear anything back from them until a day or two prior to the install date. At that time they said the quote was too old and they would only be ale to do a new quote, not an install. I explained that I had already scheduled off work and just called a different company to get a quote since I hadn't heard from them. Cates was very disorganized, but offered to still come provide a secondary quote. Which was fine, I just asked that they call to confirm with me prior to arriving so that I could let them know if I still needed the second quote. Instead, the tech just showed up in the middle of my appointment with the other company and had the nerve to tell me Cates would have had a better deal, and acted as if I wasted HIS time. Pshh That right there let me know I made the right choice going with One Hour Heating and Cooling. They were more organized, and made me a priority as a customer. Also they are available 24/7 - very important when considering your heating and cooling needs!

Joe and John were professional and friendly.They answered our questions, and Joe took his time making sure everything was running successfully. Dan explained the different options we could choose from for the HVAC system clearly and followed up after the installation was completed. We were comfortable with these gentlemen in our home. They were very considerate about leaving their work areas in our home clean. We were very impressed with Cates.

Cates did an amazing job replacing our old ac units. They were professional, showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves, and were very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them and their service contracts .

I’ve used Cates for years for HVAC maintenance & repair, installed a new hot water heater & most recently replaced shower head & faucet. Cannot say enough good things! Usually same day service, such friendly/professional techs (looking at you, Bill & Dwan), and awesome work! 👏🏼👏🏼

Dylan and Cody were terrific installers, and Pem Newberry, our sales rep was great as well. Super knowledgeable, very kind, smart and super polite. Installed new HVAC matched system, A/C, and furnace. Took good care of the house, the lawn etc when performing the install. Also spent some time educating me on the features of the new thermostat. This team from Cates gets an A+!

Cates Heating & Cooling has provided me and my husband (now deceased) with exceptional service for more than 20 years. Their technicians have always responded quickly, efficiently, and courteously to our problems and checkups. Just recently, the thermostat went totally out, and Ben was here in a very short time after I called the office. He had a busy schedule, but took time to get a new thermostat installed on a day that was cold and I would need to control the heating temperature. I appreciate all that Cates has done for us through the years, and am glad to express my thanks in this way. I highly recommend them!

Dillon and team were superb. They carefully installed multiple HVAC-related items in a small space and tested the equipment after installation to ensure everything worked as intended. This crew was courteous and thoroughly explained what they were doing as the job progressed. Upon job completion, the crew left the site clean and orderly. I'm very pleased with Cates and commend Dillon and crew for their technical skill and diligence.

Air conditioner service has been performed annually by Cates for us for many years. Their techs always do a great job and answer my questions. The service done today was consistent with their high standard.

A huge thanks to Pem Newberry for his professionalism, honesty and willingness to answer all of our questions upfront and with ease. We are grateful for his knowledge and kindness.
