We had struggled with the temp differences between levels and rooms in previous houses and knew as soon as we bought this one that we wanted an actual solution instead of bandaid fixes…(did you know that closing the vents on one level to balance the temp actually puts undue strain and damage on your system?) We had multiple companies come assess and give us quotes and decided upon Summers because of their knowledge & commitment to customer care.

I think all homeowners pretty much realize that major appliances and systems don’t last forever and will need to be replaced someday. But sometimes “someday” happens very suddenly and all kinds of decisions need to be made without much advance preparation.

That’s what happened to me. In one 24-hour period I learned that I needed a new HVAC system — immediately— and had to make all kinds of decisions about what to get and how to pay for it.

So I was incredibly grateful for the service Andrew provided, as he steered me through the process, asking questions about what I needed and showing me various options with their relative advantages, and then how to finance such a major improvement.

He also showed up on installation day, as Rob, David, and Chris worked diligently to remove the old and install the new. If they encountered any problems, they found ways to solve them and made recommendations for additional improvements, so that I came away with a system that’s even better than what I expected. Many thanks to each one of them!

Summers is great! Elijah Burgoon has performed maintenance on my house’s heat pump twice now and I couldn’t recommend him and Summers more. Elijah clearly has a vast knowledge and expertise, and still is able to relay it in digestible terms. He’s a warm and thoughtful person, and is careful to be sure that all questions and concerns have been covered.

Summers HVAC and Plumbing did a great job from start to finish! Curtis (Plumbing) was on-time, knowledgeable, and very courteous. He was able to quickly diagnose all the plumbing issues we had, clearly explain the issues, and perform the repairs quickly and correctly. I’m the kind of person who likes the job done correctly the first time, and Summers delivered! I’ll definitely be calling them back if I have any new issues!

Andrew Hay is extremely knowledgeable and responsive, helped me identify the best solution, and checked in personally on the entire process. Rob Killion and David Balay did excellent, efficient work in spite of a complex installation. Christopher Wilhite added his expertise to close the process. The whole team went above and beyond to keep me informed about the process and the details of the new system. As a bonus, they are really professional and fun to work with.

Chris was very professional and courteous as he was trying to find out what was going on with our heater he knew that my grandkids were asleep and he was still working while trying to be as quiet as possible to let them finish out their naps. He also explained in terms that we understood what was going on and what needed to be done.

We have used Summers heating and cooling of Bloomington for several years now for our personal property as well as three rental properties. We've always had great service, professional employees, and quick attention to our problem. We are currently working with Kyle to try to figure out an issue with our heat pump. They are contracting my manufacturer regarding warranty options and have been very forthcoming with what the issues are and potential costs. We have found them to be reasonably priced. Kyle has been wonderful to work with.
