For about a year and a half now, my wife and I had planned to replace our furnace and central AC units because the furnace was a huge, old tank of a machine that had probably been here since the house was built decades ago, and our AC unit called it quits half way through the summer of 2018, so we were forced to use 2 small window units to keep the upstairs cool. As a result, I began researching brands, and acquiring estimates from a handful of companies, one of which was South Suburban Heating and Air. Initial talks began with South Suburban in early December of 2019, and in the process I had the pleasure to meet, and work with their President, Mr. Dave Meter. Dave was polite, knowledgeable, and a consummate professional from the very beginning! He came to my home, assessed our situation, took the time to explain the benefits of the American Standard brand they offer in comparison to others, never once bashing the competition. He answered all of my questions (and boy did have many), but Dave was patient and steadfast in assuring that all things were properly understood, and he made his recommendation based on our needs. We received our proposal; was set and ready to go, but wound up having to put that project on hold due to some unexpected financial obligations, and the planning of our wedding. Now, more than 6 months later, I revisited the emails I kept from Dave, and decided to reach back out. Dave recalled our meeting, and in classic form, was just as helpful and accommodating as he had originally been, so we were able to pick right back up from where we left off. As some of you may know, estimates/proposal often have a 30 day expiration date, but Dave very graciously honored and extended the same proposal he had originally quoted me back in December! We finalized our order, and scheduled our installation, and on this past Friday, June 19, 2020, that installation took place! My installers were Rick and another gentleman named Dave, and due to them being a bit short handed that day, Dave Meter also came out to assist. Dave and Rick were both very nice, professional, informative, and efficient. Dave even addressed, and remedied a couple of issues I had with wiring and voltage, which were not a part of the original job, at no extra charge! They had to dismantle that huge old furnace, and remove it in pieces, which they did without so much as a scratch! They successfully installed the new units; tested everything to ensure both the furnace and AC were operating properly, answered any questions my wife and I had, gave us tips for proper maintenance, and left my environment spotless! I can say with absolute certainty that we are satisfied customers, and that I would surely recommend the good folks at South Suburban Heating and Air to anyone in need of these services. My wife and I are satisfied with not only getting a new furnace, humidifier installed. From start to finish Dave made sure that we knew what we needed for our home to feel comfortable again. My wife and I had 3 Estimates, and it wasn’t about the dollar amount it was about the way that South suburban made us feel about what we need and how it would change the way our home feels now. After installation the crew member went over everything that we needed to know about our new furnace and new thermostat! Thank you south suburban for your outstanding customer service! Excellent workmanship, guys arrived right on time. All of them had a part to do and they were all very good at what they did. I had an American Standard Furnace and Air Conditioner installed for whole house and a separate Mitsubishi wall unit in my family room for Air and Heat. Very Happy with all products and service. Would highly recommend South Suburban.

I am very happy with my experience. Dave was a very straight forward and truthful sales rep,and kept his word with everything he promised. Somthing hard to find these days. The service techs Tony and Dave were excellent, they were punctual, polite, very professional, helpful and did a unbelievable job. When they were done working they left the place spotless. I would highly recommend South Suburban heating and cooling to anyone.

I was very impressed by South Suburban Heating. I found out my 50-year-old furnace was shot right before putting it up for sale. South Suburban Heating was very prompt in coming out to give me a quote. I was very impressed by Dave and decided to have them do the work. They completed the job promptly and did a wonderful job. The two installers were great as well. I only wish I would have done this sooner now the new owner of my house is getting a wonderful new furnace. South Suburban Heating and Cooling, Lansing IL. We had our old boiler replaced. South Suburban removed the old boiler and installed a new boiler and a Mitsubishi ductless heating and cooling system. The workmen were very knowledgeable efficient and took time to make sure that all our questions were answered before they left. I would recommend them to any of my friends or family.

Your service technician was awesome as I said earlier I will remain a loyal customer of South suburban heating until I no longer need AC or heating. The support staff is awesome customer service department is amazing and I am very thankful that I was led by God to select them

Move into my house six months ago while it was getting warmer outside. Noticed that the house was a little cooler then it should be, particularly the master bedroom. After spring game me and my wife thought nothing of it, and continued through the summer like nothing ever happened. Well when winter came back around our room was freezing! I immediately thought it was the thermostat because the system kept shutting off in the middle of night, we would wake up to 65 degrees in our house.

Well after spending what $700 for what I though would fix the problem didn’t work. I decided to search for another option. I called South Suburban Heating and cooling. Dave came out right away and did a presentation with me and showed me during a walk though what would best fit my needs. He was very informative, as well as honest. His main objective was to make us comfortable again, I really appreciated that.

I am happy to say! My house feels amazing! My room is now more comfortable then ever. I am so happy! I also needed a new hot water heater, as well a new Air conditioner. Dave found a package that worked for my needs.

The crew that came out and installed my new products were amazing! I had to work that day so my wife stayed home. They guys made her feel so comfortable!

I cannot say enough about this company. We had furnace problems during the night and Gary was able to get someone to our house the next morning at 7am. We were blown away by the prompt and excellent service. As I told Gary he will always get our business . His tech John was prompt and efficient and they were able to squeeze us in at the last minute adjusting their schedule to help us out. Great company😊.

Unbelievably great experience and I can’t recommend them highly enough. My central air went out on the Fourth of July when it was 90 degrees... I called them on the 5th and spoke to a very friendly lady named Kathy who not only quoted me a great price but also was able to schedule me right away. She then kept in touch via text so I never felt forgotten about waiting for my appointment. The service technician, Brian, was an absolute awesome guy, who’s not only knowledgeable and professional, but also takes great pride in what he does. He not only diagnosed and repaired the problem (he had the part on the truck) in under an hour, but went way above and beyond explaining everything he was doing along the way. While most companies would take advantage of this time of year and price gouge you because you have no other option but to pay their ransom... this family owned company doesn’t work like this, and I happily paid a more than great price for the amazing service I received. I’m now writing this review in a 72 degree house with the AC blowing ice cold on my feet. I’m happy, and more importantly, my pets are happy. Thank you guys, you’ve earned a customer for life.
