Have used them in the past and they have been very reasonable and reliable but they were recently purchased by King HVAC and now I found them pushy to upsell / replace my entire HVAC system rather then repair it. The technician (even without any proof) started saying the reason the furnace is not coming on could be because my heat exchanger has a hole in it which would mean Co was leaking into the house. He never even opened up the furnace to look, just started saying that could be the problem and I need a new furnace. We had to tell him to check the flame sensor because that what the symptoms match up with. Sure enough that's all it was.
The technician called prior to arriving and was on time for the appointment. He appeared knowledgeable about the work being done. However, he was not fully prepared to do the job. Once he started servicing my furnace, he asked if I had a vacuum cleaner. I found that request unusual. I went upstairs and to my garage and grabbed my shop vac. His next request was for some water to moisten a rag so he could wipe off some internal areas of the furnance. Oh, by the way, the rag he used, it belonged to me, he even took the rag with him when he left. Since I requested a service, I imagined that the service person would show up with all the necessary equipment to complete the job.
John was a very nice person, worked on my furnace for awhile working better now but I've asked for itemized receipt and almost a month gone by and no receipt. I was not able to stick around so I really would like to know what's next for my furnace.
Excellent customer service. Bruce came out to diagnose the problem with my geothermal unit. He ordered the part and had a technician out the next day to put it in. The technician took the time to explain operation of the unit, and what settings should be used for best performance. No question I will use Hollaway Meyers for all my HVAC maintenance and repairs.
This is in reference to the location of the store on 165th in Hammond. They replaced my whole HVAC system including ventilation. Ron and his partner we're very professional about it, and believe me it wasn't an easy job. They ALWAYS cleaned up after each day's work and were respectful. Dave worked with me to make sure I got the best deal and was satisfied with the work upon completion. I WILL ONLY call them for all my HVAC needs and highly recommend them. Keep up the great work!!!! PS: Did I mention they're efficient and trustworthy
The service tech was extremely rude and made my.mother feel as if it was her fault the issue with her furnance. She explained to him about the poor service she got from another company and that is why the furnace was that way. She needed a new motor and with everything plus service call almost 600.00. He did not even know if it was exactly that and if it was something else it would be more money and could not work with my mom. My mom contacted another company and was quoted half the price and said that they company was ripping her off. So if you decide to go with them get a second opinion and they will still charge you a service fee even if they do work for you.
I've been a customer for over 25 years and had them install 2 furnaces and 3 A/C units in 4 different homes. The owner Rick and salesman Pat have always been very knowledgeable especially if there were more than 1 option to consider. As far as cost I've always gotten more than one estimate and they always have given me the best price. Also their employees seem to surprisingly prompt and most importantly professional in both manner and service itself. They certainly took care of my 85 year old mother the same day. Her a/c went out this summer they located a new older type unit, saving her some serious money not having additional cost of changes necessary for the modern a/C equipment. I wish all service oriented business operated that way.
I made a appointment through there answering service. After 4 hours and no call back. I decided to call them. Hmmmm.... I was not on the appointment book for today like I said I would be. The office girl had a big attitude and said they couldn't come out until tomorrow afternoon even though I was told I was put in as a emergency call earlier. I found someone else and decided to be fair and call and cancel so maybe someone else wouldnt freeze. The answering service again....lol. She took my information but I bet they wont get it right and show up tomorrow. If you need a reputable company use Economy in Highland. Fair prices and they show up when needed. Cozy warm night now. Thank you Economy Heating.
These guys are smart! We had air conditioning distribution in our home and didn’t know what to do about it. Hollaway Meyer spent 2 hours at our home just figuring out a plan as part of the free estimate. We accepted their quote and they installed our system the very next week. Now, I’m happy to say our problem is solved. Thanks guys!
I got a quote of 95.00 an hour to install a hot water heater on the phone. When I got the bill it was 552.00 to install a 300.00 hot water heater. They sent out two guys and they were here 3 hours. NO ONE ever said 95.00 for each man. Yes they charged me 190.00 an hour.I will not ever use them again! They said I should have know it when I called to complain. My next step is the BBB complaint on them. I'm a widow and they took advantage of me.......
