I called South Suburban Heating on 10\7\20 and spoke to Kathy. I wanted my furnace cleaned and inspected. We discussed date, time and price. On Oct 15, 2020 she called and said her technician was finished with a previous job and wanted to come by my house earlier, so I said sure. Max arrived wearing a mask and finished the maintenance in 30 minutes. I was pleased with his work and he answered all my questions. I would highly recommend South Suburban Heating and Cooling to my relatives and friends.

I have used South Suburban since the early 90s for service and replacement. They have always been very responsive on there service and fair on replacement. I just had them install 2 air scrubbers at my home. I have pets and it has made a tremendous difference on the air quality of my house. Gary came out and installed both in a few hours. He was very neat and did a great job as always with any of their employees.

This was my 1st time using this company for a cleaning and definitely my last. Technician was nice but seemed inexperienced with Lennox furnaces. I have two Lennox furnaces in my home. I’m overall disappointed with the service but what stood of the most is when he did the 2nd unit there’s a bar that is in front of the burners that he said it can’t be moved, but I’m pretty sure in past cleaning I’ve seen technicians remove the bolts to take it off to clean the burners properly. I’m questioning if he even cleaned the flame sensor. I feel as tho for the amount I paid it definitely was a half done job and I’m highly dissatisfied.

I work with HVAC vendors all across the country and they are hit or miss, usually miss. Was nice to find Suburban for our local Chicago sites. They answer the phone, follow up and know what they are doing.

This is a company that you can count on for quality of work and professionalism. The owner/operator David Meter and his staff are fantastic. I had a new furnace and air conditioner installed in my home in Lansing.
When I had a slight problem with a small noise after 2 years, Dave came out the next day and repaired the sheet metal that was causing it. Everyone is very attentive to their workmanship from the office personnel to the installers. They walk you thru everything and explain in detail. Wonderful company to do business with. They get my recommendation first all the time.

I had six estimates for a new furnace and AC to be installed. I knew that American Standard is one of the top three companies for furnace and AC according to Consumer Reports. However, the company that installs it must do it correctly or you will have problems. South Suburban was the last of the six companies to come out and Dave Meter was very knowledgeable about the products and how it is important to install it correctly. Dave Meter doesn't try and sale you something that you don't need and he listens to what you really want then he gives his recommendations. He really makes you feel like you are the customer. The other five companies sent sales representatives or the installer. I was very impressed that Dave Meter is the president of the company and he took the time to personally come out and sale his product and services. I would recommend this company to my friends and tell them to ask for Dave Meter.

We have been with South Suburban Heating for about 25 years. At one point we did go with another provider. We found that South Suburban is the better all around provider. Jim who has been our technician for the last several years is great. The office staff is also great!

Terrific company! When my heating failed in the middle of a bitter January night, they sent a repair man out at 2:00 am to get the furnace going. Their maintenance service contracts are reasonably priced Recently came-Cleaned, adjusted, checked all aspects of heating system. Replaced leaky water valve supplying water to furnace humidifier (a small extra fee).A skillful and honest company!

We are ecstatic that we had Dave South come out and give us a second opinion on our high efficient furnace. The other company, Four Seasons, just came in and told us it wasn't good and started rambling numbers. Dave South from South Suburban Heating explained in length what was wrong with our furnace, the options, and then the numbers.
We are pleased with the installation. The other competition mentioned above took over 10 hours to replace our a/c unit last summer. Well South Suburban Heating installed our high efficiency furnace and we paid $2,400 less that the above competition quoted us. We really thought that the other company was truly great to work with and gave them our business for over ten years. Well it's 2018 and time for a change. Our American Standard high efficiency furnace is awesome. And the change in our pocket feels even better!
This is our second home and we are now convinced that South Suburban Heating & Air Conditioning will solve all of our HVAC needs in this home, our future homes and those of our family.

We had to replace both furnace and air conditioner. Owner of South Suburban came out and spent close to 2 hours with us answering all our questions and figuring out what would be the best option. He also informed us of $$$ we would be receiving from Nicor after installation. Day of installation, the guys were on time and did a GREAT job!! They spent almost 30 minutes with me at the end of the day making sure I knew exactly how everything works, what to look out for and how to perform required simple maintenance checks every month. Can't say enough about these guys. Great company that I highly recommend to anyone having to resolve ANY HAVC issues.
