Lindemann Chimney Heating & Cooling

We had a chimney fire and had to have our chimney and woodburning fireplace replaced. Mike @Lindemann was great, he was on time and he walked us through the process from submitting the claim to the insurance co. and the replacement and refacing of the fireplace.
Mike did a beautiful job, we picked out the tile and bought a new mantelpiece. He got the tile and all supplies needed and he made suggestions that enhanced the fireplace.

there were 1 drawback and that was that we could not go and see the fireplace inserts and door alternatives. I'm an old fashion girl and I like to touch and feel stuff. It all worked out great and we love the look of our new fireplace.

Lindemann has maintained our boiler for the past two years. They have done a great job. There has been no knocking in the pipes since they have taken over the care of our heating system.
12/1/2022 Update- Our circulation pump died last night and Lindemann came this morning to replace it. It took Scott some time to find a replacement (system is 25 years old and pump maybe older) and drain our system. Unfortunately, the previous owners did not put in a cutoff to the boiler. All said and done, we have heat and it seems the pump has been diminished for years, we just never noticed. Radiators work like champs.

Luca was very knowledgeable and good at explaining what he was doing. Also very friendly quick and efficient I would definitely use them again.

I'm very torn on writing this review and I want to start out by saying that I hope to raise the rating from 3 stars to 5 stars in due time. I think this company has top level people from management to the field and that their customer service skills are excellent. I plan to continue using them for annual maintenance for the time being. With that said I do not see how I can rate them any higher than 3 stars based on my experience.

After buying a house in the suburbs I called Lindemann's to inspect the chimney in a more detailed fashion (home inspection revealed only minor damage to chimney interior/flue). They quoted me nearly $10,000 in work for re-lining an all brick chimney and fireplace that was not even 20 years old, the home was built in 2001. Understanding the great risks involved in having a live wood burning fireplace I trusted in the technician's judgment and the overwhelming number of positive reviews online that I was being quoted a fair price. Despite this obscene price tag (I think I ended up paying closer to $7,500) the technicians failed to tarp my brand new white couch, which I had expressly asked them to do, and they worked for 5 hours without any type of exhaust fan or construction fan running. So when the chimney was done being cleaned, re-lined, and whatever else was required my entire living room from the new area rug and white couch to the walls were caked in a black carbon soot. Don't get me wrong the two techs were really nice guys, and they seemed competent as well, I even bought them lunch. But the oversight to put down adequate protection for the customer's furniture and use proper ventilation seems to me to be a colossal failure. I complained to management and was finally granted a small financial rebate. The technician in charge who made the error(s) was extremely apologetic but nonetheless my family had to breathe in this black carbon dust for a week, I had to have the rug professionally steam cleaned for nearly $500, the couch cushions dry cleaned, the walls washed, and I purchased an air purifier to suck the dust out of the living room.

To sum up, I want to like this company but they made a couple major mistakes at my home and I feel that their prices are a bit out of whack. While I genuinely hope to continue doing business with them based on their customer interaction skills, who knows what the future holds...

Could not be happier with Lindemann Chimney Heating & Cooling. They came out promptly to give us a fair, detailed quote for the repair of our roof vent which involved sealing of the storm collar, painting the vent, and installation of a dura vent cap. The work was completed the very next week. Very pleased with the completed work and price!

The inspection carried out by Mike of Lindeman’s went very well. Mike was efficient and most helpful in explaining what he was doing and the need for further follow-up in subsequent years to keep the chimney stack clean. It was the first time we had our wood burning fireplace cleaned—Mike cleaned about 6 pounds of residue from the chimney stack. He left the house clean and for that we are grateful.
