Lindemann Chimney Heating & Cooling

Scheduled a chimney cleaning. The technician said our chimney did not need cleaning, but instead needed an immediate $6,000 flue relining procedure. We received a 2nd opinion from another company. The 2nd company said not only did we not need our chimney relined, but that our chimney was very dirty and required mechanical cleaning. Lindemann seemed more interested in upselling expensive procedures than cleaning our chimney. Classic bait and switch operation. Avoid them.

We needed to remove a basement incinerator, built with the home in 1928, which was not used, and projected beyond otherwise finished interior walls in the basement laundry room. Lindemann came out, estimated a fair cost for removing what amounted to the front half of a chimney that originated in the basement, and rebricked the wall flush with the existing concrete foundation. Team arrived on schedule, were professional, protected the home (debris out and brick/mortar in via 5 gal buckets over carpeted basement stairs), and finished in 7 hours of work! The brickwork looks like they intended it to be seen; it's beautifully laid, no sloppy mortaring. Very fair price for excellent work, done with respect for the home. Strong recommendation.

I had reached out as I was referred by a neighbor, so we had them come out to figure out why we had water damage in 2 of the rooms upstairs. We had a new chimney installed by someone else and the flashing redone after that by yet another company. The problem still persisted. When Lindemann came, I was advised that we didn't have a lining and so we contracted to have one installed thinking that would resolve the moisture issue. We waited a couple of months afterward to have someone come and repair/paint the walls. No sooner than that work is completed, we see moisture returning. We had Lindemann come back out and then told there was so much moisture in the bricks that until we start using the furnace, it would probably take a long time for the bricks to dry out. Keep in mind that had never been communicated when they installed the liner. If it had been we would probably waited even longer thereby not wasting money on a drywall contractor and painter. We will have to wait and see if what they said holds true, otherwise we will contact Lindemann to come back again in the spring. This has been a very frustrating and expensive experience considering it hasn't been a year since the work was done and we're still dealing with it. They are nice enough but that doesn't help resolve the problem does it? Very disappointed.

Contractor told us we had a carbon monoxide problem (!!!!) and Lindemann was at our house within 4 hours. Fixed the big issue right away, and they were forthcoming about cost and schedule to make our chimney up and running.
The guys came ON TIME (whoooo!!), did great work, and I was emailed the bill a few days later.

They rebuilt the deteriorating brick fireplace chimney from the roof up & did an excellent job. They were patient with me & all of my questions. I would definitely recommend Lindemann.

I had a custom chimney top and cap installed. Mike Finley was the installer. He did a great job and was very thorough.

Mark did a great job inspecting the chimney ,then retiring to perform the required work. He was very professional, and we were quite satisfied with the job he did.

I set up a winter tune up for my 2 hvac units. Everything went smoothly. Appointment confirmation, service tech arrived on time, left area clean and explained current status of the 2 units. I highly recommend.

I was very impressed with LIndemann from the very beginning. Their staff was very professional and informative from the first call until completion of my chimney rebuild. Their estimator took a lot more time to evaluate and recommend what should be done vs several other companies I considered. The project was completely in a timely manner, their workers were very respectful of the property and insure everything was cleaned and put back in place before they considered the job complete. I highly recommend them.
