I had them out to figure out an issue I was having with my exterior lighting on the front of the house. One weekend the breaker tripped and it would trip again when I tried to reset. The gentleman arrived and I explained the problem and he began to troubleshoot. Long story short, after a few missteps I helped direct him to getting the issue resolved. And when I say direct him I mean direct him. I trust Althoff and they are reliable but I am starting to question their technicians. This was the second time out to my house within the past 6 months and the first visit was similar.

My husband and I have worked with Althoff for many years and have always been impressed with their competence and professionalism. They installed our hot water tank, service our HVAC, and currently are working to upgrade our 20+ yo plumbing fixtures. Earlier, I worked with them on exterior/interior condo HOA electrical projects. Each and every technician has been knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. They are backed by efficient and friendly schedulers. Recommended!

I have been using Althoff for years now. They have been doing maintenance on both the heating and cooling systems in the past three houses I have lived in. Through all those years they have been great. The technicians are helpful, prompt, and very friendly. I highly recommend them.

12/23/22 Pre Christmas Eve, sub zero temperatures, hot water heater blows @ 4pm. Responded immediately and replaced Christmas Eve morning. Great communication.

Mark from Althoff came out and quickly diagnosed and remedied the problem. Very knowledgeable and accommodating HVAC technician. Since we have a Silver service membership the service cost was well within reasonable limits. Been with Althoff for HVAC annual maintenance service and system has operated flawlessly and always dependable for heating and cooling.

I always trust Althoff to properly service our equipment. I also appreciate that we always have the same service technician. He’s prompt, a good communicator, and experienced.

Fantastic and quick service. Our sump pump died and our basement flooded. As soon as we called Althoff they were able to get someone to us within an hour. The tech was extremely helpful, friendly and professional. Love using Althoff - always a great experience!

I can't recommend Althoff highly enough. Customer service over the phone was wonderful. Technician that came out to inspect my A/C was incredibly thorough and described all of my options to me in great detail. The sales rep that put together my quote didn't try to upsell me and made me feel like I was making the right purchasing choice. Installers were on time, courteous, and worked a 12 hour day to get my A/C and furnace installed.

All in all, I'm super happy I chose to go with Althoff, and surprised how great their customer service was considering how inexpensive their service seemed.

I’ve now had whole home HVAC system equipment replacements at 2 different properties performed by Althoff. They always have solid techs and installers, and it’s always a professional experience from start to finish with any questions/concerns answered and addressed without any BS. The scheduler “ladies” are real pros with an actual customer service vibe that’s hard to find anymore.

Ask for Jeff M. (Sales) to get you transparently started on all your options for replacing any equipment you think is getting close to giving up the ghost; he’s also free eye candy for the woman (or dude) in your life, so try not to be jealous when he shows up at your door.

Don’t be confused by the “Althoff Industries” side of the house vs. “Home Services” - just two divisions of the same company, same staff, same expertise - I’ve been a residential customer since before the inception of “Home Services.”

I don’t believe they are the “cheapest,” but you get what you pay for - and the peace of mind to handle things right the first time is worth the extra shillings over one of the 100’s of fly-by-night HVAC operators with a backpack, shop vac, and a van. I’m sure Althoff’s other trades services are solid as well.

The main guy(s) running this company are doing something right and have been for many years - they take care of the employees, who then take care of us, the customers, and the business continues to stay successful. Don’t deviate from this winning formula and I’ll remain a customer for as long as I’m stuck in this state.
