The receptionist that handled scheduling was extremely friendly, clear, and organized. The technician was personable and knowledgeable. However, the price to install a thermostat was completely unrealistic and unfair in my personal opinion. For this reason, Althoff will lose my business moving forward. After being quoted nearly $400 for the Honeywell Home Thermostat insallation, I decided to complete the project on my own. I successfully installed the device myself in under an hour.

Joe was efficient. Explained what he was doing & why. I have used Althoff for years & have never been disappointed.

They were very knowledgeable and responsive via text and phone to keep me aware of the situation and necessary repair. I'm so glad they were able to try a new technology to pump through the hot water line under the slab, and fix the leak. Outstanding work, and everything was clean once completed.

So they were contracted as a vendor for my building that hadn't updated most of their HVAC systems in 20+ years. The company was communicative on the products and what was available for installation. The employees that actually did the installation were very smooth, it took a about a work day. They also have financing options available out to 18 months with 0% interest. Obviously replacing systems is expensive but everything was communicated and executed well.

Althoff helped us replace our water heater during the coldest week of winter. We signed up to have them maintain our HVAC system afterward. They have done a fantastic job keeping our system in great shape and we highly recommend their service.

We explained to Scott, the technician, that we had a gurgling in the main shower. He asked to see the sump pump room and noticed there was not enough air flow going through the pipes after turning on all the faucets and hearing the gurgling sound himself. He diagnosed the problem within minutes and was able to fix it in no time. The gurgling finally stopped after modifying the pipes and bringing them up to code. I want to thank Tom for sending Scott, one of his best technicians, to take care of us. I highly recommend Althoff for all home services.

We've always used Althoff. They set the time within a 2 hour window and usually are ahead of that time frame. The come in do their work, pick up after themselves and are friendly, tell me if there is an issue, etc. and get the job done quickly. I would highly recommend them.

I am a senior citizen and had a new water heater put in by Carl. He was very professional and nice. He took the time to answer all my questions. He was on time and from start to finish was only a couple of hours. He took my old water heater with him so I didn't have to worry about getting it to the curb or worry about my garbage pick up etc. I highly recommend this company. It was very stress free. ☺️
