My most recent visit did not meet my expectations; at all. I'm a loyal customer and have spent thousands on tools and equipment in the past 3 years. I'm a small business owner. Two weeks ago I returned a flat surface cleaner for what I presumed were warranty repairs. The piece of equipment, which I paid full price for, was less than 9 months purchased. When I left the equipment with the representative, I provided a copy of the purchase receipt, showing the date of purchase with the clear expectations that the repair would be filed under the warranty.
Today's bill was $273! Another $100 I could have purchased a brand new item. This was both unexpected and unbelievable. Moving forward I expect upfront details on repairs.

Northern Tool was spectacular... The facility was clean, including the bathrooms... The selection was unbelievable. And the display complimented the selection. The staff were great for the simple fact that they left you alone to shop and didn't follow me around or bother me by trying to be over-helpful but their presence was still there if I needed assistance..... That's how it ought to be. (My opinion.)

Needed a great heater and found the one I wanted. The Dyna Glo 185K BTU for the shop. Called and the sales was helpful to go see if they had them in stock.

They had three and the sales rep said due to logistics issues, they were not see the heaters on thier trucks. Got down to the store and picked mine up along with a 2yr and 3yr warranty. You have 30 days once you purchase that specific hearer to get a warranty which is very cool.

Very happy with my heater will fire it up tomorrow morning with 50 degrees cold in the morning. This heater should keep the shop nice and toasty.

Customer service was awesome! My car broke down in their parking lot. I had to go into the store to buy jumper cables, which only cost $8. That's right, they're cheap too! I would recommend this store if you're looking for tools at a fraction of the price that they're sold anywhere else.

The customer experience is hit or miss. I guess it depends on who is working on the day you enter the store. Sometimes it's really good, other times it plain sucks!

Don’t waste your time. The staff is and has always been unhelpful with the exception of a few. Very rude and unwilling to help customers. Spend your money where they actually care about customer service.
