My home warranty provider sent a technician to my house on 5/3/23 for AC preseason check and filter change. Technician claimed that the attic AC unit was not accessible and refused to service it. The AC unit had been accessible to technicians from other service providers over the prior 6 years, and this morning my 70 year old, one armed brother was easily able to access the AC unit and change the filter. $100 down the toilet. Horrible experience.
On Thursday 6/29 I started calling and leaving voicemails as now I see was unfortunately assigned by my home warranty AHS. They had their out of office that they were closed at 11am. Called again on Friday 6/30 when AHS finally decided to start my work order and this company still has their out of office message on. What kind of AC company closes their office the beginning of July. I know a company that is probably going out of business. Of course have to wait until Monday before they transfer the case to a new company but this is a disgrace of a business
I had a terrible experience with this company. They fixed my heating issue, but my AC stopped working once the repairs were done. My AC was working perfectly fine before they came and stopped working as soon as they left. I tried calling them multiple times and they finally got back to me via text (a week later) just to tell me that they refuse to even come look at my AC issue.
I wanted to talk to someone on the phone, but they always send you to voicemail and only respond via text. POOR customer service. I'm extremely disappointed with their lack of professionalism and will not be recommending them to anyone.
This company doesn't even deserve "one" Star. This company is nonresponsive. I called them and left several messages and they never responded. In fact, 5 days later they got assigned by AHS to come to my house and the tech "Mark" arrived to my house. I was stuck in traffic and my wife was only few minutes away, he was rude on the phone with me and refused to wait for me to get home. I had to get AHS to assign it to another contractor. It has been 2 weeks and no response from them. Reading reviews now shows that many people have similar experiences. Stay away from this company.
The tech was too new in field and did not recognize the hvac was wired incorrectly...gas valve turn on too low...and the air flow was not adjusted correctly...if u want it done right the 1st time call Western Aire. They figured it out quickly and unit now runs fine. Brand new hvac.
American Home Shield contracted Express comfort heating and air to come and diagnose and fix our upstairs ac. It's been over a week and they still have not come to even check on the unit. After 3 days they scheduled an appointment for Thursday between the hours of 1 and 5. They never knocked on the door and left a note saying they missed us. We were here the entire time waiting. Then we called for days and days and they never returned a call and their email address is invalid. They told American home shield that we needed a new heating pump! They still haven't even seen our unit and have not called to reschedule an appointment. Do not waste your time. After reading more reviews Maybe it is a good thing they didn't show up to further damage my ac. At this point I have called another company to come address the issue as American home shield says they will not change contractors after they said they have visited they house. Which they only did to leave a fake "we missed you note." And, put then lied to American Home shield and said they already did the estimate and we needed a heating pump? I guess they really don't want to work at all and get paid regardless of whether they do their job or not. American home shield should stop contracting this company. They don't help. Only cause more stress.
This was the worst customer service experience. Ever. Period. They were quick to come out and diagnose the problem and quick to get a technician out, but it all went downhill when the tech informed us that the guy who diagnosed the issue misdiagnosed the problem. The tech turned the air conditioning off in the entire house instead of just the one unit we were having an issue with, and every attempt we made to turn the working unit on was unsuccessful. They offered one time slot in four days after they turned our air off during the hottest week of the year so far. No one would be home for a portion of that time slot (and the only time in those four days that we were not available), and they would not put us later in the route nor guarantee they could accommodate our availability to fix THEIR mistake….and they had the audacity to tell me they were doing the best they could! I told the “supervisor,” Mark, we were willing to have someone come out at 10 o’clock at night if that’s what it took at which he laughed and said his technicians need to sleep. Agreed, but you are saying this to your pregnant customer who’s attempting to sleep in a house that reached 99 degrees because YOUR employee messed up. Due to being out of town, my house sat without partial or full air conditioning for over two weeks from the time they first came out and misdiagnosed it. When the tech returned to fix the misdiagnosis, I asked why he turned the A/C off to the entire in house to which he responded he didn’t and then voluntarily admitted he didn’t perform his job thoroughly and only looked at one A/C unit. Express Comfort was unwilling to work with our availability and would rather their customer be inconvenienced because of THEIR mistake than one of their employees. Turns out the “supervisor” I had the displeasure of speaking with on multiple occasions is the owner of the company. After asking multiple times to speak with a higher up or the owner, he told me there was no one above him but would not admit he owned the company. Perhaps shame is what prevented him from claiming the title…? If your warranty company assigns them to your case or you are considering using them, run as fast and as far away as possible. After being jerked around by this company for almost three weeks, we forfeited any dues paid and reached out to another company who had a tech out within 24 hours. Even your worst enemy (and mine is currently named Mark) deserves better than what this company is WILLING to provide.
I had a technician from Express Comfort Heating and Air come out for an A/C tune-up through American Home Shield. The unit was previously working. The technician forgot to replace the caps, leading to 8lbs of refrigerant leaking out. Now AHS is trying to charge me over $1,100 ($140/lb of refrigerant) to replace the lost refrigerant because of Express Comfort's screw-up (intentional sabotage to get more work??). Avoid at all costs.
This company was assigned to me through AHS to repair my compressor on my air conditioning unit. My air went out in June 2021 and it is now August and I HAVE YET TO GET IT REPAIRED. I have called AHS and this company and nobody seems to have an answer on when the parts will be ordered or when a technician will be scheduled to come do the repairs. I have repeatedly spoke with the manager, Tracy, whom has had zero concern regarding the matter each time I spoke with her. She put false information on my case file which could have potentially delayed the process as well. At this point I’m not sure which company (AHS or Express) is responsible for the hold up regarding my repairs but I will say neither one has had any urgency regarding the situation no matter how many times I have called and complained. I would not recommend EITHER COMPANY FOR ANY SERVICES. If i could leave zero stars I would. This is ridiculous. I am forced to go with another company for the safety of my two year old and myself.
This company came for a routine HVAC inspection, said everything looked fine, and then left, and afterward we discovered our system was no longer cooling. They returned the next day, said that one of our HVAC parts was faulty and that they had the part on the truck, but could not do the repair until we scheduled a new service call through our home warranty company. Now we will be without air conditioning for at least a week. And, when we called back to find out the part number so that I could replace it myself more quickly, they refused to give us any information and said “we can’t help you.” So, to summarize, our HVAC has worked fine for 5+ years, Express Heating and Air Conditioning came out for a tune up, apparently broke something, told us everything looked fine, and now “can’t help” while our bedroom is 85 degrees.
