    * never mind typos and grammar I don’t spellcheck and all that.. simply put…*

I was having a perfectly great day until express comfort heating, air & BS showed up. We are in the middle of a global pandemic. Hence, the first thing I received was an email ensuring proper precautions would be taken to ensure the safety of my home, myself and the technician. At HELLO.. The technician arrived with no mask, no gloves & no shoe coverings. When I asked him where his mask was he went to his van to retrieve scissors, sat in the driver seat, cut a piece of fabric, wrapped The fabric around his face and came back to my front door. I was highly appalled. Like did I just watch that happen? Will this fabric thing you just low Key made in your van protect me and my home against your droplets? At that point I saw the bottom of the fabric hitting his chest so that was indication enough that it was enough material. Irritated however, Upon asking him to put on shoe coverings which were in the inside of his sweaty elbow he pulls them out and they have leaves all over them. They had already been used. I asked him to go to his truck and retrieve new shoe coverings. When he came back the shoe coverings had a hole in the bottom. His shoes would be touching my floors. I asked him: “Hey so those are defective & used ... will you please find proper shoe coverings please? He finally did. They looked like they were used as well but I really couldn’t tell. I let him in so he could access the thermostat etc. After he discharged to go outside to the AC I literally sprayed (what felt like) an entire can of Lysol everywhere from the light switches, the wall thermostat, the floors, the carpet, The ladder... leading to the attic. At arrival his shirt was completely sweaty with stains. His jeans, torn in the back and completely filthy. He was sweating profusely at “HELLO”. It was disgusting. I’m looking at his shirt logo & the truck like... they really sent YOU? :/ Upon going outside to start working on the actual AC unit it literally took him an hour to hook everything up and get started I don’t know what he was doing for that long. He told me all kinds of things like all the siding will have to come off the side of the home in order for me to see if wires have nails in them which could potentially have been a slow leak. The other issue could be the evaporator which if it is that ....will take a week to order. But there’s no real telling I’ll have to go back inside your home and go back up to the attic to see. By this time I was so frustrated as an hour and a half had already passed. He had entered my home twice to access the attic. Now a third time??? By this time I’m questioning his knowledge base. I’m also thinking OK you’re not exactly hygienically clean nor are you following proper protocol for COVID-19 safety & precaution. I was reluctant to let him back in the home. He turns to me and says sarcastically “You really don’t want me working on your AC do you?” At that point I had had it. I told him “Just collect your things and go; I will start new tomorrow...this is absolutely absurd!!!!” Upon driving off he dropped his cheeseburger in my driveway and left it there smooshed after the tire ran over it. Do not go with these people they have no knowledge base, zero professionalism, Poor productivity, no expeditious speed nor customer service.
Moreover, Sweating profusely & maintaining a high BMI in the HVAC industry is NOT a good look.

My home warranty provider selected Express Comfort Heating and Air, LLC. The technicians arrived within the timeframe promised, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, received the part the next business day, and installed the part the day after receiving the part, resolving the problem. My expectations were met.

Thank you to Bob at Express Comfort Heating and Air for helping to diagnose an HVAC issue at my home. He was professional, punctual, efficient, and knowledgeable. I appreciated him taking the extra time to inform me on several parts of the system. I will certainly use them again next time. Thanks Bob!

Express Comfort Heating and Air got our AC back working today. They were always communicating with us via phone, text, or email on when we could expect our new compressor and what we owed in advance. I highly recommend!

This company is in cahoots with American Home Shield (they are equally if not WORSE ) to deny repairs. This company will blatantly lie to back up any claim you may have with your home warranty. Then send a sales person to harass you to purchase a whole new system - but why would I need a whole new system if the one I have is working per your diagnosis to the home warranty. Total SCUM!!!

My AC went out on 6/16. I called American Home Shield. They assigned the repair to Express Comfort Heating and Air. Express called 6/17 to schedule repair. After they rescheduled many times, they arrived 6/27. They completed the repair and charged me $380, $75 of which was an AHS trip fee. The remaining $305 they sprung on me after completing repairs. When I asked what is for, Express said it wasn’t covered under warranty. I had no choice but to pay.

On 7/19 it went out again along with my 2nd unit. AHS sent Express back out. They fixed the first unit at no charge. The second unit needed a compressor.

Monday morning, 7/25 I called Express. They said they ordered the part but had no ETA. I called 7/26 and 7/27. On 7/27, they told me the part would arrive by noon 7/28. I asked if they could schedule me. I talked to Tracy who was extremely rude. She said not until they had the part. I explained that I couldn’t wait another week. She said she couldn’t help me. I called AHS. They called Express who said when the part arrived they would schedule me same day or early the following morning. On 7/28, I called Express at 1:30pm, 2pm, 2:30pm. All 3 times, it said they were closed. The AHS agent finally got them and put me on 3-way with Express. I talked to Tracy at Express who said the part had not come and was due that night. I asked to be scheduled. She said no. It would create a problem because she would have to call me back and reschedule if it didn’t come in. I said that wasn’t a problem for me. She said it was for her. I said that was poor customer service. She said if I felt I was getting bad customer service, bad customer service I was going to get. She said she didn’t want to help me. I said I would speak to the owner. She told me to go ahead. I called AHS again the morning of 7/29. They said they were escalating it to contract resolutions. They then called Express and talked to Megan who said the part was due and would call me by 2pm that day to schedule. She called at 2:30pm to schedule 7/30. She said I would owe them $900 and if I didn’t agree to pay they wouldn’t schedule me. AHS said there is nothing they can do. That is Express. So, I still have no air. AHS says they are looking into Express.

Express Comfort has the worst customer service ever. I am guessing they are only in business because of their contract with AHS. I feel like they extorted money from me with the $305 and tried to do it for an additional $900. They are charging customers whatever they want and not filing with the warranty company. Do not use directly and do not let American Home Shield assign them to your repair.

I wish I could check all three options provided for timeliness, problem resolution, and professionalism. We were notified that Jimmy was behind schedule but would still be here if it were still convenient with us. He arrived, went right to work, resolved the issue, and we were very happy to have air conditioning restored. Thank you. "

Our AC stopped working and Express Comfort Heating and Air was assigned by HSA to fix it on 6/26.They said a secondary drain line was filling with water, causing the float switch to shut down the compressor. They removed this secondary line, leaving only a primary drain line. Two weeks later we notice water stains on the wall & ceiling under the unit and within a day there's hole in the ceiling. We shut the system off once we figured out it wasn't a roof leak, it was coming from the AC in the attic.

They came out again and said our float switch was now faulty and didn't shut the system down as it was supposed to. They blamed the water leak on a rust clog in the primary drain line. Didn't they know the primary line was clogged when they removed the secondary line 2 weeks prior? How else was the system to drain? Rust doesn't develop in 2 weeks.

HSA tells me they're not responsible for secondary damage caused by contractors and directed me to take it up with them. Express Comfort refuses to take responsibly for the damage and wouldn't even return my first two calls about this. Be careful dealing with these folks. They just don't care.

Two stars for accuracy and previous help with another System.Otherwise not the most professional company lately. Underhanded and rip off practices.
