Great! Last Saturday, my upstairs ac started blowing warm air. I called and had an appt the next day, Sunday at 2. I received a call and was delighted to hear our tech was on his way, earlier then scheduled. Shane Ramey evaluated and replaced the capacitor. Within an hour we were cooling!! Shane was professional and informative of what was needed and tips to keep the unit in shape. Thank you sooo much for a quick repair and a pleasant experience!!

11/17 Update: Shortly after my 10/26 update (see below), Casteel did call me. I haven't connected with them yet because I no longer have a need nor a desire for their services but I did want to be fair to them and say that they reached out about 6 weeks after I shared my initial complaint. They referenced this review in their voicemail so it's likely the below update that got their attention.

10/26 Update: despite their reply to my initial review, no one from Casteel has reached out to me. I think they must just post that on negative reviews to make themselves look better. I ended up using Bartlett Heating & Cooling, they charged $149 to inspect two furnaces and did not add in any additional charges. They were friendly, showed up on time and I'm happy with the switch.

Both of my HVACs were installed by this company. They mailed a coupon for a $79 Heater Tune-Up, with no mention of additional fees, etc. Then when I called to schedule the tune up, at the very end of the call they mention they'll be adding a $15 fuel surcharge to every call. I pointed out that this was not mentioned in their coupon, and also their dispatch center is about 1 mile from my house, but the customer service person didn't care and was borderline rude about it. I politely asked for a customer service manager to call me back so I could discuss further, and never received a call back.

A) We all are paying the same gas prices, I don't get extra money in my pay check to cover my gas.
B) They're literally one mile from my house.
C) It's deceptive pricing/marketing at best.

I'll easily find another furnace company for my future business.

Casteel recently installed a new Lennox 17 seer unit at my house. The quote didn't change from their initial visit, the techs doing the install (Earl & Todd) arrived around 8:30AM and were out the door by 4PM. Every question I had was kindly answered and when I noticed something that was promised wasn't being installed, I brought it up and the techs were quick to resolve my concern and even apologized. I am very happy that I went with this company and I have a 10yr warranty on parts and labor. I pray this is the beginning of a long term partnership, thanks again.
