Well what can I say. Last night my air went out and started calling 24 hours company but all said not till Monday till I call Casteel heating and cooling and they send out Trevor today before Monday. Without a doubt first impression very professional and knowledgeable. He got my air up and running in no time. Trevor did a thorough job of the unit and even discover the capacitor running on low voltage and suggested to keep an eye on it and I just decided to change it and not only that I also decided to buy plan to have Trevor the only person to work on my unit. Thank you Trevor for your help and thank you Casteel for having Trevor on your team.

I called to have my area AC united serviced. It was previously working and than stopped blowing cold air.
Red Flags:
1. Before arriving they asked how old was my unit
2. After inspecting my unit I was told there was no signal from my thermostat to my unit but I heard it turn on.
3. They said my unit was so old they do not make the parts anymore and it would take about a year to gets some of the parts (model 2006).
4. Quoted me $10-15K to replace my unrepairable unit.
5. Sent someone the same day to start the process. The new inspector, 1st wanted to go to my unit in my attic for about an hour. (I reschedule due to other commitment).

The next day I called for a second opinion from another service provided. After their inspection they asked me (2) questions.
1. Has the unit ever worked- I said yes
2. If I had someone else in here before them -I reluctantly said yes.
The technician took a photo of the thermostat wiring and unit wiring and said. I was surprised when you said the unit worked before. It was wired completely wrong. They stated that someone rewired your unit. He wired it back correctly for me and informed me that all I needed was Freon. They charged me $280...

Almost got me Casteel, what a rip off. Consumer fraud investigations is needed at that place. Be ware

Casteel and Elliot specifically are amazing. We had a horrible home warranty service that sent two different companies who would not or could not diagnose why our system was not working. Within 10 minutes Elliot had our system diagnosed and within an hour had it fixed. Thank you Elliot!

Explains everything and makes it understandable for someone like me that has never been to hvac school. I highly recommend this company. They have great customer service over the phone too.

My appointment was for a failed inspection because on a previous appointment, Casteel chose not to replace the rusted out vent pipe when replacing the water heater. I called in with my concerns prior to the inspection and was summarily dismissed, and then the inspector flagged the exact same thing.

Everything about this experience has been the epitomy of laziness; the vent wasn't replaced on the initial appointment, the tech clearly didn't want to do ANY extra work, and what he did do, he did the absolute bare minimum on. He wasn't prepared; he had to go out and buy materials despite me telling the booking agent exactly what the problem was and what was needed. And he didn't clean up after himself. He left large piles of rust and dirt on the floor and made absolutely no effort to clean any of it up.

Everything about my experience with Casteel, from the phone agents to the tech, has been problematic. From appointments not getting entered, to sending the wrong team, to my experience today, has been the absolute bare minimum.
