Delivers broken goods and keeps your money. Customer service chuckles at you while you try to advocate for yourself in the process of damage claims with them and the freight company. They blame the customer and freight company for absolutely anything. They won't even replace parts to help make it right. RUN!!!! You aren't saving money you are being robbed.

Received replacement Furnace for the one I purchased earlier in the year that was damaged to the point I could not use. Luckily I bought #2 whole systems for duplex so I could use the one that was not damaged. Disappointed that I had to pay for Air handler (&shipping) again, you said it was my fault for not opening up all #4 boxes, '#2 heat pumps,#2 air handlers' and removing all covers and inspecting for damage. The sad thing is this unit was damaged as well, I took it all apart had delivery driver document & take pictures. Luckily my HVAC guy was able to Bend back into shape and we utilized the unit for the second duplex. Live & learn. If anybody takes something from my story it should be, prepare yourself for a late delivery (after 4:30pm both times) & give yourself time to open everything completely (also have drill & other tools handy for disassembly) before excepting.

This review is not about Budget Heating and Air, Budget was great but the freight company they hired Southeastern Freight Lines ripped RIPPED OFF A SENIOR CITIZEN!!!! Southeastern Freight Lines was hired by my Budget Heating to deliver my a.c unit and handler and caused damaged to the a.c. handler. The two pieces were delivered on 11/12/2020 to a vacant property that was being remodeled. According to Budget, we were supposed to be allowed to review the units and sign for release. Southeastern Freight Lines driver dropped off the unit out allowing us to inspect, otherwise, we could have noted the exterior damage to the a.c. handler (which was done by stacking other items on it a clear violation of the BOL) and the driver did not obtain our signature instead in full site of us and our neighbor he rushed to get back in his truck and signed the signature pad himself. I contacted the Southeastern Freight Lines and they stated that due to COVID it is their policy to allow drivers to sign for the release of your product and that they can only compensate me $323 for a $969 item (for damages). I rejected Southeastern Freight Lines offer of $323 because the damage is due to their negligence of stacking other items on top of the unit and their breach of duty/contract since their driver signed on my behalf without allowing us to inspect it. Due to COVID, I am on furlough and only have my Social Security income so I will not be able to move back into my property without the unit being installed, Southeastern Freight Lines response was to pursue this matter further and that's what I will have to do. I am posting this for future consumers see if Budget has another freight company because Southeastern Freight Lines will cause damages to your item and will not own up to reimbursing the cost of replacement, please be aware. ***I am not the only customer that they have done this too, below I have included another complaint of a similar incident from the Southeastern Freights BBB site***

Budget was recommended by my a/c guy. They were very knowledgeable and professional on the phone. The price for the complete 4 ton unit was very reasonable from what I've heard friends and neighbors paid. The delivery was right on time and most importantly, no damage.

I recently purchased an A/C unit with budget heating and A/C RA1636AJ1A condenser. After installing it , the unit had a bad vibration when operating, the whole unit was vibrating. I contacted David DeLorean with budget heating and A/C, he was quick to apply my warranty and send me a replacement fan blade for this unit, l had it replaced and now my unit is running smoothly. Thanks to David D. and his team over at Budget Heating, I recommend this company for your Heating and cooling needs.

I bought a 2 ton HVAC unit, scratch and dent, upon installing the condenser the installer( licensed and insured ) it was found that the king valve was defective. Installer said he had never seen that. I called Budget and PJ in warranty stated it was my installer's fault and since it was installed, installed meaning it was tied down to the pad, it was a warranty issue. My installer called back and PJ agreed it was not a common issue and not on my installer that it was a factory defect. Budget's solution to my problem is to send me a new valve and the cost of this is one me. The refrigerate would have to be reclaimed, but any recovery tank is going to have old dirty refrigerate. When I asked who was going to pay for this, PJ stated he was working on getting me a credit. Why would I need a credit, it is not like I need to buy a new AC every year. I spoke with Mike in sales and he stated that they would make me happy. I requested they replace the condenser with a new one, no response, instead I get an email asking if I want the $19 king valve mailed or would I pick it up. I again stated this was not acceptable and would like for them to replace the condenser, that my installer would bring the defective one back and pick up a new one. Again the only response I got was they were waiting for the new part. Not even a no to my request for a swap out, just ignored. Also PJ waits til minutes before he gets off to email me. I left voice mail for Mike in sales to please call, no response. After no response again this morning in regards to a swap out I spoke with my installer, costs on me to replace the king valve, refrigerate and labor are roughly $800, a new condenser is only a few hundred more. SO I am going to replace the condenser on my dime to insure a good working system. My concerns about the defective condenser were ignored. This place just takes your money and could care less. No one expects to pay $800 for a repair on a new unit with a warranty. I am going to file a small claims suit. I live in a 55+ community and have had 5 people ask about my new unit and wanting my installer to do theirs. You can bet I am telling them all to stay away from this company.
