We had our A/C go out late Wednesday. I called a couple placesthe next day, but only McGowan's had a tech available to come out that day. Our outside unit had melted and the whole system required a replacement. The tech had me a quote that night. The tech was able to talk with me the next day (Friday) about the options so I could make an informed decision. They came out that day (still Friday) to replace my system. My family is so happy they were able to get our unit replaced with such great speed. Everyone was very professional and courteous. No one left a mess. They scheduled the follow up inspections with the city.

Buyers beware. McGowan installed the hvac system for our new build 3 years ago. Recently, we began having issues where system was no longer cooling the house. I figured where they were the original installer and there is a 10-year warranty on the Carrier AC unit, I would work with McGowan to perform the warranty work. Their tech quoted $700+ to perform the warranty and diagnostics work because a couple of parts that are less than $50 no longer work. Their parts are "under warranty", but BE READY TO PAY $150+ an hour for them to fix their systems. I called them after the tech left to be sure i was understanding correct. I received the exact same quote by the person i spoke with.

Be advised: do your homework and be sure to use a servicer that stands behind the products they install. McGowan does not.

Although no problems were found. The technician recommended installing a new capacitor. The parts were covered by Manufacturer’s warranty installation cost $122. I apparently did not understand the nature of our service contract which I thought would cover installation of replacement parts under the manufacturers warranty. We were also offered an enhancement product which we declined.
