Our A/C stopped working so I called to schedule a technician to come out and repair. I called a total of 4 times before I got a call back from Damien to schedule. I was told my technician had been dispatched at 12:30 and my window for him to come out was 1-3. I was also told the technician would be contacting me soon to let me know what time they would arrive. At 2:30 I called because I hadn't received the call from the technician. The woman on the phone was extremely rude and interrupted me several times. I wanted to know if I should make arrangements to sleep else where as we have a toddler and our house was 83 degrees. She stated that she doesn't have contact with the technicians and she would send them a message but that's all she can do and I needed to wait. I waited until 4:30-an hour and 30 minutes outside of the time window and called again. The same woman answered and cut me off almost immediately and said couldn't do anything to help me other than send another message and that the time windows are approximate so I needed to be patient and hung up. My husband and I made arrangements to stay in a hotel. It is now 8pm and I still haven't heard anything and obviously will not be. We have used McGowan's for 7 years and will not be using them again.

I had a few mishaps with the Company in the beginning, but I decided to call to see if we could work out the minor issue. I’m really happy that I made the call; they were professional and responsive to all my questions! The technician was knowledgeable and helpful. I learned a thing or two today about my ac as well and that’s a plus. Overall, the experience was great!

I cannot recall everything that Wesley did, but he was very thorough and explained everything to me in terms I could understand as to what I need to do to keep my system running smoothly. He also installed a Remi halo system in my attic area and it was very very hot, so I appreciate his work even more

I have a heat pump system that is less than two years old, so we were surprised when the AC started blowing hot air. I called our builders 24 hour line and they dropped the ball. When I called McGowen’s ( the install company) the operator was super professional, listened to the problem, looked up my address and said she would not only have someone out today, but would contact our builder to handle the warranty issues.
Matthew H. Was the tech that came to the house. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He was able to troubleshoot the issue and get us up and running! We now have cold AC again!

Definitely recommend using this company if you have any HVAC issues. And ask for Matthew H. he will get you back up and running!

Thankful to the team. Installed a decade ago and we just discovered an open issue which they immediately addressed. In a matter of days they took care of everything in coordination with property management and the city. Now that is excellence in service. Katie you are your team are the very best.

Dewayne & Anton were very nice, did a great job & answered any questions that I had, I appreciate them... there was an issue in the beginning, about the original quoted cost, but it was resolved before work began to my satisfaction...
I suggested highly to Miss Lorie that in home estimates be done ahead of any work, just my thoughts...

As temps dropped into the 20’s Dec 23 our heat didn’t kick on at the house. We called McGowan's Heating & Air Conditioning who the whole house system was bought from and installed. They’ve been down to service once before and it was still under warranty. Early Christmas Eve morning they scheduled a tech to come out same day. Around 2pm I called to confirm time and was told he had one more stop and would be there after 4pm. At 5pm with a house full of people bundled up I received a phone call from McGowans stating…I’m sorry to inform you. We we won’t be coming, manager said you are now out of our service area.”
…I was floored and speechless. I said…hold on, are you telling me that you just made a decision on Xmas eve close of business day to leave me hanging after 8hrs of waiting? You realize with the holiday I now have virtually no chance of finding someone else? Yes sir, we are sorry. I said…you realize tomorrow is Christmas and nobody is coming to help me then either so Monday would be soonest till we have heat in our house? Yes sir, we are sorry. I said…but we spent thousands of dollars with you on this system you aren’t going to honor the work or warranty now? Yes sir, but it’s now just a parts warranty anyways and you’ll just have to find someone closer to work on it. I said…literally how are you as a company good with that decision? How do you sleep at night realizing you just ruined someone’s Christmas like that. I have a family people, they might want to open gifts without seeing their breath in the morning! Sorry sir, manager made the decision. I asked to talk to said person, wasn’t allowed. Was told they could give him a message and it would be up to him to return the call. (As of Dec 26 still haven’t gotten that call) I laughed, and said…please do, I would love talk to someone that can’t tell me to my face that your company that we bought this from, doesn’t stand with their customers and has decided on Christmas Eve to say you’re on your own. Knowing full well North Central Florida is getting a hard freeze and we aren’t gonna have any heat for 3 days to deal with it. What a Christmas present you guys are giving us. God help me, you people have some nerve. Sorry sir, they said. We agreed just to end the call a few min later because nothing was going to change the decision.
This isn’t a company worth your time or money. Don’t support a company like this. Don’t be fooled they value you.
…note…our heat problem was solved by the owner of a smaller company Xmas eve night when he agreed to come over when his wife got done last minute shopping! Now that’s the Xmas spirit!!!

McGowan’s installed my systems as I was building my house 9 years ago. I’ve used them for service in the past. One of my units went out recently and they took forever to respond to help out with the warranty knowing that over 4 days, eventually it would be too hot and I’d have to give in, wouldn’t fight the warranty and have to pay full boat. The customer service was good the 1st day, but after that although promised I would hear from them the next day, even after I sent emails and phone calls, they never did respond. They did NOT fight for me, they did NOT respond as they promised, they offered ZERO/NO alternatives other than to pay full boat, and 4 days in I ended up getting another company to get the work done. I would never recommend them to anyone in fact have shared with our community association Facebook page. This is an example of big company not helping out the little homeowner with the manufacturer and a text book example of “customer no service”. I’m very disappointed in McGowans; you guys can do much better than this.
