Since our A/C was installed we have loved them, until now! Four days ago, tech was out and said our motor was bad and it would take 4 or 5 days to get here. Today is day 5 and they are telling us it will take 5 more days. In the meantime, there has been a cold spell in Florida and we are freezing but all they would do is say WE'RE SORRY

Would not trust this company. The technician who came out tried to make it seem like my system had never been serviced when I get it serviced yearly (just not with them). He gave me a quote for over $1400 for a repair and tried up selling some system that he claimed I needed. Found out he didn’t even look at my compressor and couldn’t verify if a cleaning was all I needed. I ended up going with a different company and it only cost me $100 to get done everything I needed. I ended up going with McCaskill heating and air and they were very friendly and extremely reasonably priced. Do not go here and get ripped off!

A/C Guy of Tampa Bay came to check my AC unit and give me an estimate on replacement. Daniel was personable, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. I've had other companies come and they've never shown the attention to detail that he did. He took photos of my rooftop unit to show me the condition of my (very old) AC unit, answered all my questions, and he even wore shoe covers on inside my home. He was respectful of my home and super informative! I highly recommend AC Guy of Tampa Bay!

Ben provided detailed explanation as to the A/C service he was performing. He detected a problem with a leak due to a coil needing to be replaced. He was respectful & professional. I have used the A/C Guy company for approximately 8 years - they are honest and I recommend them all of the time.

AC Guy of Tampa was recommended by a friend after a couple of bad experiences with other companies. Our first experience was on a July 4th holiday. I called them and a hour and a half later, there was someone here. The problem was fixed and I didn’t have to mortgage the house to pay for it. 😏

Their customer service is like the days of old. They have a great system for scheduling, which includes texts for reminding the customer about appointments that includes a picture of the service man coming to your house.

I am so glad I got this referral and I myself recommend this company to everyone I know.

Ben came out to checked out my a/c. Found a few things wrong with incorrect install by previous owners on the a/c system. Gave me a quote and offer a vip service with 20% off with vip service. Well worth the money spent and the service he provided. Had to order part’s then came back to finish up the job correctly and bringing it up to code and quality standards. Great company and great prices. Will only use them for now on.

My air stopped working. I was told I was out of refrigerant and had a leak. To diagnose where the leak was coming from, I was charged over $300 for about 30 minutes of work. My system is a little over 3 years old and has a 10 year parts and labor warranty. The leak was in the air handler evaporator coil. Even though I had a warranty, I was told I would have to pay $1500 for labor because:
1. The air handler is up in my attic and it is August and hot.
2. It will take two guys to install the replacement coil.
I was also told I could call the original company who installed it and ask them to move it to my garage!!! $$$$
After contacting the manufacturer, I obtained a list of other service providers who will cover it without an additional charge. The one I am using told me they would not have charged for the leak detection.
Because of the above, I am amending my review of the A/C Guy to 1 star.

Steve was our 2nd quote. He took his time, found the root cause (thermostat wire shorted) and repaired it. Our first quote wanted to swap out entire system at a huge cost. Steve and his company were referred to us by a friend; word-of-mouth is the best.
