Van Genderen Heating & Air Conditioning

I just moved into my house and the A/C stopped working during a several day stretch of 100 degree weather. I called many companies and everyone had a waiting list of at least a week. The woman who answered my call at Van Genderen was so friendly and actually tried to help me solve the problem over the phone. Turned out I needed a professional to fix it but since I lived close to their office she said they might be able to squeeze me in. A few hours later she called and someone was on their way. Within an hour the pro had my AC up and running. I am so thankful and will definitely use them in the future.

My A/C crashed on a very hot Monday and Van Genderen was able to send a tech to the house that very afternoon! The Technician, Brad, was prompt, personable, explained the problem and repairs, and provided tips for better care of the unit to extend the life. The costs were very reasonable. I will be using Van Genderen for all future HVAC repairs and replacement. I highly recommend the company!

Van Genderen is friendly, timely and professional. Their prices are fair and competitive, they are locally owned, their techs are professional and on time. This company gives wonderful customer service. The person on the phone was polite and knowledgeable. The serviceman, Bob Strange, was punctual, polite and very likable. After he cleaned the furnace and filter I mentioned that the upstairs was never as comfortable as the main floor, It was either too cold or too hot. I have been complaining about this problem to various workmen for 39 YEARS and no one could help me. Bob changed a setting on our thermostat and the problem was solved!! He went above and beyond to help us. Great guy!

Brad came out and diagnosed why my furnace and a/c didn't seem to have any power. He determined that it was the control board that went out. He was able to go pick up the board and once there determined it was the wrong part that had been ordered. I was very appreciative that he took the existing board with him so he could get the correct part by comparing it to the existing board. Once he returned he completed the installation and cleaned out the a/c to make sure it was running properly and efficiently. Brad was very courteous, professional, and did a great job with getting my furnace and a/c running again.

Our air conditioner was running, but not cooling. A tech came out after hours and fixed the problem immediately (needed Freon) and didn't charge an arm and a leg. He also recommended a new thermostat since ours is fairly dated--without high pressure sales tactics. I was impressed with a highly knowledgeable technician and friendly, professional staff back at the office! Thanks Van Genderen!
