Van Genderen Heating & Air Conditioning

This is the company to use. Don’t bother looking anymore. I have had three HVAC companies look at my AC, each one suggesting very expensive repairs. Van Genderen was the fourth company I interacted with, but I wish they had been the first! So polite, courteous, and quick turnaround on the phone. The service manager came down and looked at my AC and was able to suggest a very simple solution that no one else did. He saved me THOUSANDS of dollars. They are not out to make money off you and they are honest people. This is the only company I will use from now on. They are a gem in an industry rife with untrustworthy companies.

From the start I have no complaints about this company. (I worked with Janelle and Dave was my tech). On to the review: I originally spoke with Janelle and she was very friendly, honest and easy to work with. Before finding Van Genderen, I called about 4 other places. Some were rude, some werent available for days or weeks and others quickly tried to upsell before even knowing exactly what the issue was with our heating.

Unlike the others, Van Genderen quoted me for the job over the phone and that is exactly what I paid when the work was complete. The next step was getting the tech out here to install the new furnace blower.

I was greeted by Dave who was friendly, professional, and quick at getting the job done correctly. Our heat is back to working properly and I am glad I found this company. They were very helpful and professional. They were also able to do same day service. I recommend them for your next job, I know I will be using them.

I can’t say enough good about Van Genderen Heating and Air Conditioning and David, the service tech that visited our home one day this past week.
I saw that we had water dripping from a water line going to our air conditioning unit and noticed that there were spots on the line where you could see what appeared to be ice. My discovery happened on the hottest day of the year this year when the outside temperature reached 💯 degrees! I called Van Genderen’s office was told that my name would be added to their service wait list, but that it would most likely be a few days before they could send someone out. I was instructed to turn off both of our a/c units until someone could get out to check on the situation.
I did turn the units off and the temperature inside our house quickly rose to an uncomfortable 86 degrees. This was somewhat disconcerting as we were anticipating the arrival of out of town guests the following day who were planning to stay for a week.
Late that same afternoon, Janal, the office assistant telephoned to say that they did see our situation as rather urgent and that they would make arrangements to have someone out to take a look at it at 7:30 the next morning.
True to her word David, the service tech arrived right on time. Aside from being punctual, he was courteous and professional in his assessment of our problem. He explained that our system needed refrigerant that is very expensive, but just how much we would need, he could not tell initially. As expensive as the fix might be, it still was less expensive than replacing the entire system - which Van Genderen was not able to do immediately anyway. Thus the decision was made to go ahead with adding refrigerant to the line. It was a somewhat time consuming procedure, but David patiently went about getting it done and we were happy to have our air conditioner back working later that morning.
This was not our first experience with this company and we have always been pleased with their service, but the way inwhich they responded and performed in “our time of need” this time was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend Van Genderen to anyone in need of heating and/or air conditioning services. All of their employees/representatives have been to notch and so pleasant with which to deal.

Staff was very careful (and clean), very competent, and very prompt. We got a new whole house furnace, air conditioner, and water heater installed in one day! Van Genderen has an awesome team! Quality workmanship and quality product. What more could someone ask? Oh, and the price was right as well!

We had an AMAZING experience with Van Genderen! Our A/C quit working during the hottest part of the summer. I called them and they were able to come assess our situation and give us an estimate within hours of calling. When we decided to have our system replaced, they went above and beyond to get us scheduled for install within just a few days. Kevin was awesome about listening to the issues that we had with our previous system and helping design a solution to overcome some of the challenges we had had moving air through the house. On installation day, they got the entire system completed in one day. Furnace, A/C, and electrical. The installation is very clean and is a professional job for sure. Now that we have had our new system working for a few weeks, the difference is amazing. Before we had rooms that wouldn't cool in the summer or heat in the winter. The system would run all the time and nowhere in the house was a consistent temperature. Now the entire house seems balanced. It is really nice! I could recommend this company more for these types of needs. I assure you that you will not be disappointed with the service!

We are delighted that we hired Van Genderen to replace our AC and correct the way our furnace had been installed. Kevin and crew were prompt, knowledgable, courteous, and very helpful in explaining what they were doing. They completed the work right on schedule and they left our basement cleaner than when they started! They even saved us money by reducing the cost from the original estimate. Janel and Sandy were also very helpful in fielding our questions and scheduling the work. We signed on for long-term service and would recommend Van Gendereen without reservation!

We had a great experience with Van Genderen starting with Kevin who came out and estimated our job. He was thorough in his explanation and workings of the Bryant furnace we purchased. Janal followed up on the quote and further explained the installation procedure, and Kevin came back out with a crew and installed our new furnace, humidifier, and thermostat quickly and efficiently, hauled away our 38 year old furnace, and cleaned up the basement where they worked. I hope our Bryant holds up for another 38 years. We are very pleased and highly recommend Van Genderen.
