From the moment I called this company they treated me with the utmost respect and care. Everyone was very helpful, showed up on time and did very good work while offering knowledge to help me out in the future. They have wonderful communication skills and everything was made extremely easy. A great company to work with

Using A & P Heating and Cooling is the best experience that I’ve ever had working with a service provider. Every step of the process was painless and they didn’t pressure me to make a sale. All of my questions were answered quickly and explained to me in a way that I could understand. I will definitely tell my friends and family to use this company.

We recently replaced our furnace ad A/C. Guy Derby came to our house to evaluate our needs and recommend the best system for our home. He took time to listen to any concerns we might have. A decision was made to go with A&P, even though I had planned to contact other companies initially. A few days later, the work was done. Todd and Tom came at 8 a.m. and finished around 5 p.m. I was impressed with the efficiency and organization through the entire process. Care was taken to minimize waste and protect our carpets and clothes. Todd took extra time to help us set up our phone commands to the thermostat.

Very professional representative, instead of servicing my current unit, I going to have my unit replaced.

Todd came to my folks house to reprogram the thermostat so we could use the 'auto system' function. Awesome! My folks are 96 and 93 years old and living on their own. Todd is wonderful! We've been A&P customers for decades! We highly recommend them for all your heating and cooling needs!👍

I could write for quite a long time about how great A&P did on our air conditioner install. We bought a 40 year old house that had original HVAC, knowing it would need to be replaced. We talked to 6 different companies from the big names you hear on radio to a guy that does it under the table. We talked package unit options, and mini splits. Once we had all the options in hand and weighed the costs and benefits trying to compare apples to apples across all the contractors, we decided to use A&P.
They weren’t the cheapest but for what we got they were the best value. We went with a Fujitsu mini-split for our 1500sqft house. Biggest reason being the sear number. To get a unit with a high enough sear to qualify for SMUD’s rebate you had to go with a very expensive package unit. Instead we went with an entry level mini split. Todd did a great job giving us numbers and options on units.
Once we decided to pull the trigger they were super quick! I think within 72 hours they were replacing our unit. They also replaced all the nasty old ductwork. Our house is super comfortable all the time. Not like too hot, system kicks on then it’s super cold, the mini splits are variable speed so they run as much or as little as they need.
AND ITS SO QUIET! Our old package unit was very loud, this split is super quiet. We went with the ducted indoor model so you wouldn’t even know anything was different from a package unit. One of the things that nearly kept me away from mini-splits was the ugly wall unit. Not anymore!
Highly recommend Todd and his team. They did a great job, we’re professional, clean and quick. Todd also recommended other things I could do to make my house more efficient including air sealing the attic. He even offered to help!
We have had some small adjustment issues since the install and Todd has been super helpful and responsive in getting them fixed. Thanks A&P!

Lance has been servicing our HVAC system for several years. He has always been honest and helpful. If asked, we would have no qualms about recommending A&P.

Lance was phenomenal ! He contacted me on time, gave me an estimate of when he would be there, came completed the job exceptionally and was very thorough. Very professional and kind!

I truly wish we could give a 'zero' star rating because in my case that is what A&P earned! My service adventure began last summer when my AC unit stopped blowing cold air. Numerous visits occurred over a couple of weeks until they finally chased down a bad compressor but I paid out more than $3K in service/part charges while they figured it out! Because of their repeated failed attempts to isolate the problem, they replaced numerous parts including the fan motor but when the real issue was discovered, we were comped the motor they had charged me for because who knew if the original one was bad since the problem all along was the compressor!
Now we're 10 months past their last service and the first time the AC was used this year, guess what? Blower is blowing but no cold air! Lance came out to track down the problem and as I'm standing near him at the AC unit, he reaches down, sweeps his hand under the motor and pulls out a palm of grim. 'Bad motor - oil leak', he declares; he said the bearings are failing because the fan isn't turning freely! 'You'll need a replacement!' Need I say, this is the motor they comped us less than 10 months before, oh and of course there's no warranty!
Lance charged the coolant, the battery in the thermostat is replaced and now we need a new motor. - I'm not buying it! I tell Lance I'll take my chances on the motor and will replace the entire unit once the motor goes since the system is aged.
Next day, my retired Navy Electronic Techie (E-6) hubby arrives. We take the cover off and I reach down to spin the fan that Lance claims doesn't spin freely - It spins like a top! Then hubby takes out the motor and as he flips it over we see NO evidence of an oil leak - just grim from 10 months of outside exposure and Lance's finger marks! We drive the motor over to a machine shop off Richards Blvd to have them check it out. Guess what they find?! No problem, nil, none! No leaks and the gear spins just fine, thank you very much!
So as you can see a 'Zero Star' was well earned! They got my $3K for their failure to ID the original problem after numerous visits but they won't get another dime. You need to be very sure that Lance doesn't show up at your door if you do call them for service. Kind of makes you wonder how often the griming palm verses oil leak story pays out!?
