Our air unit decided to stop working today before a heat wave warning for the area. I called to get some one and the earliest was the next day. I was glad for that. 3 hours later I get a call they can come in 20 minutes. Tech and and got us up and running in minutes. I am beyond thankful for their dedication to their clients and thankful they came out at night to help us.

If our HVAC system was not under warranty with them we would have never use them!!! There technicians tried to tell me that having a over a $400 electric bill in March (normal bill is around $100) was because we got a freezer,,,, We have been having nothing but problems with our system, we are the first owners of our house and they have had to come out at least every 6 months!! I am so glad i don't have to deal with them again!! SAVE Your Money Go to someone else. Heck you would be better off trying to fix it yourself!

UPDATE: Had an actuall skilled A/C tech visit my home to check why my A/C wasn’t working right, and why my electric bill jumped over $50 from the last two summers. It turns out that Chas Roberts addressed one of our faulty zone cooling issues last summer, charging us expensive labor, merely to put a sheet metal screw into one of the zone damper actuators, which prevented it from properly closing. They also carelessly bent the ductwork in my main zone, preventing that damper from properly closing as well. Also numerous kinks and bends and improperly routed & poorly connected ductwork and improperly designed bypass systems. I was persistant, eventually having their supervisors look the system over later on 2 separate occasions, only to tell me nothing was wrong. Took several good pictures of it all. I’ve called them 6 times in the last two months, requesting to discuss this issue with their corporate office. Still no response.

Chas Roberts installs improperly designed systems and junk Chinese parts in order to guarantee your unit will fail. The cooling systems they install in all new homes are the cheapest budget, most inefficient and lowest quality units on the market. Then they offer a 10 year parts warranty, which guarantees you will be paying them in labor for their numerous bandaid repairs later. The homebuilders only use them because they are CHEAP. Oh boy, the pictures I’ve seen and issues I’ve heard of from their other customers in my neighborhood. Shoddy installs, improper repairs, building code violations; you name it. The reviews here are all just as consistant. I consider us fortunate in comparison, despite our issues. Two of my neighbors are paying over $10,000 each to have their junk Chas Roberts A/C systems removed and proper systems installed after having catastrophic failures. These houses aren’t even 3 years old yet!

It’s ridiculous what this company is getting away with. People buy new homes and are forced to deal with this company in order to maintain their home warranties; not by choice. Chas Roberts and these home builders should be held accountable for the blatant, obvious ignorance & poor workmanship. Enough is enough! Registrar of Contractors can only address this one issue at a time; but that doesn’t address the big picture. I hope the other people becoming fed up with this company’s business practices will consider a class action lawsuit; several residents of our subdivision are. If you are as well, take lots of pictures, document everything, and discuss in your review. I will update this review with contact info pending we establish good representation.

I am writing this letter as a complaint. I'm an employee at Chas Roberts AC and plumbing in Tucson, AZ. Merely wanted to share with everybody how this company claims to take care of their employees, however just a few days ago five employees tested positive for corona virus at our Tucson location. Do you think HR or any supervisor at the Tucson location mentioned anything to the employees? Well guess what, they didn’t... employees that have caught the virus don’t get any type of benefits or compensation for the time that was missed. It’s pretty disturbing that the company treats their employees this way because we work our butts off the whole year and when we call HR “Claudia” has a response for everything but unfortunately it's not to resolve the problem. This company treats us as if we were another tool and disposes of us when we break.

Horrible, I have a brand new system that they put in & I have had them out 5 times in 5months because the system just won't work. Now the whole system just went down. Every time I call they can't get anyone out for at least 3 days, maybe if they did better work they would have more people readily available to come out immediately. Completely dissatisfied, 5 service calls & counting & no resolution.

Worst installer in Tucson!! They did Saguaro Bloom neighborhood for D R. Horton. I have never seen such Bad installs in my 16 years in the A/C service industry. I would bet 35% of there installs will require a service call within the first 3 years. A properly installed system will last 15 years with no refrigerant. They are installing units that leak from day 1. The unit that I worked on today had a 90° coupling on the suction side. Only because they must have ran out of the Strait ones. There was refrigerant on both line at unit to wall. This unit will never run to its full potential costing more $$. They also didn't register this unit cutting the warranty time in half. Do yourself a favor don't make them your choice for anything..Hope I've helped someone. In the above photo you can see the Crack in the high pressure line at the line dryer. This Crack is due to Horrible install. Dr Horton should be ashamed. They used the cheapest bid I'm sure and it shows.

Can't complain, called them around 11AM and they were begging to let me have them come sooner than 3pm service window...like literally 3 phone calls from 3 different people at Chas Roberts. They guy showed up when my fiance was finally home and found issue quickly and fixed it.

Horrible. Technician says I need an ISO test and will be out in a couple days. work order goes in, Chas says I need to power off my AC for 7-10 days before they do the test!? are you kidding me? So I called 4 other AC companies all of which laughed at that statement. I do not know what type of ISO test they are doing, but it is not standard for sure. Oh well, new company will be out to fix Chas Roberts mistakes. Nothing but issues since I have moved in and horrible service.

Horrible horrible horrible. By far the worst customer service myself and fiance have ever experienced. My ac units are 5 years old and have 3 capacitors go out in the last 4 years. Every time they charge me an arm and a leg to put a bandaid on the actually problem by changing the capacitor instead of fixing what's causing the capacitor fail. Not to mention when I went out to look at my ac unit, there was wires left on the ground, the collars from the last capacitors they changed and they didnt put the caps back on the area to check the freon. They were left in the dirt. And then they proceed to tell my fiance in the most unprofessional tone possible, capacitors go out every year. Who knew right? Maybe? I'm not an ac technician but that didnt seem right. So I called the ac manufacturer and local ac companies who informed me that in harsh environments capacitors should last minimum 7-10 years. And them going out yearly isnt supposed to happen, theres another issue. That sounded more like it. If you're under warranty for parts, and doing it yourself voids the warranty, just because Chas Robert's installed the unit doesnt mean they have to do the warranty work. Which I also did not know. Or I would not have used them from the begginning. If there were negative star values I'd be double tapping them. Needless to say, I would advice anyone using Chas Roberts to work on their ac unit to find another provider. The Better Business Bureau is a great recourse.
