Tim was my technician today. He was punctual and respectful. Great customer service. Took the time to check all splits and heat pump and made sure I was comfortable with the hows and whys of the system. Highly recommend!

Scammed my wife into paying $300+ for a part that cost $20.00. The a/c unit worked fine, we just wanted them to check it. They said the part failed, but the system was working fine, before they diagnosed the failed part. My wife was fooled by the good rating on Google, but the BBB gave them a C- rating and is not accredited by them.

Thien And Austin came by and did an amazing job. Truly professional and kept us up to date on what was going on with the furnace while they worked. WOULD RECOMMEND HIGHLY!

John is a consummate professional. He has a deep understanding of HVAC systems. He went the extra mile for me to repair my HVAC system before I left for vacation. I highly recommend Greenwood Heating and John in particular.

Great quality work, high quality equipment, very friendly, super professional. On the expensive side for maintenance and repairs, but I suppose you get what you pay for. Overall very satisfied and they stand behind their work.

I employed Greenwood for my personal residence repair. Heat pump failed during cold snap in early Dec. 2022. Needed emergency service which Greenwood advertises. They could not get anyone there until Jan 3. That was earliest of all companies I called. Good thing I could burn wood.
Young service man showed on time. $355 min service fee. I suspected refrigerant was low as I had problems with installers on a brand new system. The heat pump diagnostic also threw a "low charge" code. This is not an old system, it is brand new. I specifically asked them to bring more refrigerant. I have a pressure gauge and pressure was way low. Serviceman looked quick at my system which is internal air handler and external heat pump. He hooked up his wireless gauges to the heat pump and through his phone app confirmed the system needed more refrigerant, it was very low. He went to his van and brought back a grey bottle and said he would put in more. I asked if that was a brand new bottle he said no it was all he had. I found out later that he must have put reclaimed refrigerant into my system as the refrigerant for my system would have came in a pink bottle. I went out to see how he was doing a short time later and he said he was done. How much did you put in I asked, he said about 2 pounds. I asked how did he know? he did not use a scale which is industry practice to weigh while charging. He said he knows what 2 pounds feels like. I was told later industry only reclaims into a grey bottle. Fills out of a pink bottle. Could he have put contaminated gas into my system? He told me he would need more money to bring the system up to optimum and would take more time. He had no intensions of trouble shooting my system. He was there to bandaid my system that was all. He would need around $1200 total to continue. I declined. I scheduled to have Greenwood come out and check my system for obvious problems with leaks because of problems with install. I made this very clear to the scheduler. I wanted a company like Greenwood that was in the business a long time as they seem the most reputable. The serviceman did not take off the cover at the air handler to check the interior evaporator coil for leaks. Did not even sniff any of the connections with a gas detector. At this point I was disgusted with what a reputable HVAC company stands for and was not happening. No wonder they have nice expensive facilities and brand new vans and commercial advertising. I was quoted another $3200 to evacuate the system, check for leaks with nitrogen, fix and re charge. EEExxxpppensive!
I found an independent licensed repairman who did all that for $850, $50 an hour + parts which were covered by warranty. Leak was at the TXV valve at interior coil that was easy to find with detector. Replaced TXV, triple vacuumed the system and recharged with brand new refrigerant out of a "pink" bottle. System pushes immediate heat at the register.
I don't give negative feedback but this really frosted my you know what! Be careful of using these big companies. Had problems prior when both of our parents needed service. My Mom & Dad especially who were fleeced for $12k to replace an ext. heat pump. They retail for $3500. Would not recommend this company. Shame for how long they have been in business.

I had Greenwood come out to service our furnace, technician came out and apparently did not do a good job of cleaning everything. he also said that the heat exchanger had a crack and that we should consider replacing the furnace. this year i had a different company come out to service our furnace because it would not fire up, and things that needed cleaning were not checked and that the heat exchanger was not cracked which is highly unlikely and our furnace would be able to likely last another 10 yrs.

When our HVAC unit failed shortly after we moved in, Greenwood responded to our inquiries immediately and had a new, more efficient system installed in less than 2 weeks. They continue to maintain the system annually and have been transparent about future needs without pressure to buy more equipment or services. They are not the cheapest option, but the quality of the work and reliability of the staff is worth any additional expense.

Called for a furnace issue with a burning smell. They were able to diagnose quickly, share knowledge about overall furnace health, and replace a small part. Very trust worthy.
