David and his team were wonderful. They were willing to work with our budget (no upselling) and serviced us as fast as they could. We initially had a little complication with installment and they made sure to take care of us, even to the point of potentially installing a new furnace for us at no extra cost. Luckily we didn't need to go that far, but it was reassuring to know they were there for us no matter what. Their prices may be slightly higher than other bigger companies, but we think it's worth supporting a small, locally owned business and their level of customer service is stellar. Highly recommend. If you're on the fence about getting AC this summer, you can't go wrong with this company.

I called these guys when my electric furnace went out on the weekend to help diagnose what is wrong with the system. I can't believe how badly their technician diagnosed it.

First, he told me he saw 340 volts going across my furnace breaker and no where else in the house. To put that into context, an American house usually has 240 volts on an electrical line, at max. Seeing 340 volts in a house without it burning more than one appliance would be pretty rare, and the furnace was the only thing in my house having issues.

Second, he told me that he replaced the fuse twice and they both burned up. This, he said, indicated a pretty bad electrical issue for the house.

When the tech they sent out noticed all of this, he convinced my wife that we would not only need a new electrical furnace, but also a new heat pump. Total, that would have been an $8k repair, a thing my wife cried to me about the whole weekend.

I had a separate electrician come out to get a second opinion (which the costs came out of my own pocket). He not only couldn't verify what the DVAC tech said, but also suggested that my issue could be solved by a $4 part from Shuck's auto parts.

Sure enough, when I replaced the 3A fuse on the furnace main board, it worked again. It has been 2 weeks now, and the furnace has been working perfectly ever since. Which is odd, given what the tech said he tried this himself.

I asked for a refund, but they flat out refused me.

I don't know what to say about the service I got from this business, but it certainly seems questionable. I'm not sure if they were just trying to sell another furnace/heat pump or if their tech just was completely mistaken, but the end result is the same:

I paid $350 for their tech who misdiagnose my issue, which lead to additional costs for a electrician to tell me that all I needed to do was replace a fuse. And after telling the people at DVAC this, I got no refund.

I wouldn't recommend this place.

Edit: It's been a year and the furnace is still working with the fuse I placed into it.

What a great group to work with! DVAC was one of five five star companies that I asked for bids to solve our heat and air conditioning problems. After a few quotes from others, I knew at the onset that David, the DVAC rep was the one I wanted to work with. All five perspective companies offered about the same equipment, but I chose American Standard am and glad I did. The minute we turned on the unit there was a noticeable difference to the good. Now, after weeks of a trial period, the equipment is still amazing. (after 30 years in the house, it is hard to believe we put up with the poor equipment others sold us) We could have had any equipment, but what DVAC installed turned out to be the best.
As far as the installation, DVAC was the best. No problems and talk about being quick! fabulous! David was available any time I had a question or change, not like a lot of others. They did everything possible for a great install. They were clean and the installers were pleasant and worked hard. DVAC was not the most expensive and yet others were cheaper. The less expensive contractors did not offer the better equipment.
Finally, I am very satisfied with everything DVAC did and would give them six stars if possible.
